City stucked in 405,000 and 0 RCI demand
jlt122 replied to simlacroix's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
You are welcomed and I am glad it helped you. As for your industry it isn't wrong to have more of the high tech than dirty. that should be expected if your education level of the population is high. Quite normal to have truthfully. It is still good though to have dirty in there if you have a good number of $ & $$ residence. They need some place to work too besides being janitors in a office building. Nonny posted up the "crime doesn't pay" fix. Get that one also it will help you greatly. Have fun with your city Simlacroix and keep up the great work! -

Maybe I might have an answer and maybe I don't. First off do you have the Opera House fix if not you'll need that to get past the population cap you are hitting. Now if you have that already then check it to make sure you have it kept up and properly funded. Without the Opera house mod you will notice that it doesn't give you an option to change the funding from the original version that Maxis hand out in the game originally. Believe it or not that will put everything at a stand still. Another is that your airport is not directly connected to your commerce. you have it far away and there is a article on this in the forums on here or at scdevotion and at the moment I can't remember which one but I want to say I saw here. Even though you might have industry in your other tiles ( towns/cities) you still need a certain amount in your present city at the size of 400k. How is your education level in your city also? Does it warrant you cutting out Dirty industry for high tech? There is a balance you have to maintain by the way through your whole region. There are several other things that will break caps for industry, commercial as well as residential and one thing that might help with your industry is putting a seaport down to help with that. Technically though the only time I had this problem from what I can remember was when I didn't have the Opera house Fix. I had hit 350k population and then everything started dying. Once I researched and found out about that and added it in. My city took off like a rocket. Also if you don't have it get the spaceport fix as well to help with another cap bust and high-tech industry fix also. Here are the links to them: https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/21342-opera-house-fix/ https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/27340-space-port-fix-mod/ https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/22771-ih-missing-jobs-fix-update/ -

Did someone test playing SimCity 4 on Windows 10?
jlt122 replied to JP Schriefer's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Well I've researched and been to the Microsoft forums, facebook etc.. and found that Microsoft took out the secdrv.sys driver before launch. According to some beta testers it was there before the final build of Win 10. This came from the Microsoft forums in their support section. So after reading from different sites and here, I went ahead and downloaded SC4 deluxe from Amazon it is DRM free and even though I made backup copies of my plugins & such. I found that it wasn't necessary to do so. Why? Because, when you delete your old sc4 off your drive it will ask if you want to save your cities. After I downloaded and installed the online version it ran like a charm, no problems, I didn't have to re-install NAM or anything. Also their version of sc4 deluxe is the newest so you don't have to patch it either, incase anyone ask. However I did try to open my sc4 traffic simulator that came with the NAM and found that it is giving me the same problem I had with windows 7. I remember where the link is to override the Admin line and cannot remember at the moment if it was here or on sc4devotion that a gentleman gave out the line to enter in. I think I might have saved it on my pc in my notes but anyways, the point is you will need to get the game online to use it in Windows 10 sad to say. I've had on disc since it came out and on 3 different computers. I'm still keeping them though no matter what. Good luck and I hope this helps. -

Cities: Skyline; A new City Simulator Announced By Paradox

Looks good, real good. They encourage modding right off the bat as well. I hope I can try this out once it is out. -
4/5 because of no nightlights. Good work but I have to agree with the others. Keep batting and if you are using gmax it is "nitelite" and you have to click on "enable" to turn it on for the windows that you have selected. You can pick red, green, blue or use textures or spotlights etc.. I suggest experimenting with your gmax or bat4max whichever you use. Sc4devotion.com has some good tutorials there also.

How to have lights on custom made buildings
jlt122 replied to LuigiCity1245's topic in SC4 BAT & Lot Workshop
From what I've read from other peoples work done with Sketch up you have to export to the B.A.T. Gmax program to give it "nitelite" for night time effects. I think Bipin uses that program maybe you should ask him about it?
