  1. Was wondering if it would be possible to create a mod that restricted buildings in districts based on floor height. The vanilla hi-rise ban policy doesn't cut the mustard. If this has been discussed already, then my apologies.
  2. It's not easy without destroying the layout and making it more logical. It is intentionally messed up to make it hard. It's a fun scenario though. I tried beautifying it once or twice, found this old screen:
  3. Haven't visited this topic in awhile. High detailing, Double-decker, speghetti, creative... good stuff everybody.
  4. Still the same from me from day 1 - Larger growables and realistic merging / splitting highway lanes that doesn't require mods, ton's of patience and time to lay out. Kind of digging the scenario aspect of it these days too, so any expanding on that would be good. More variation of bridges that had a color picker option. But I was just thinking that, I don't know about other countries but in the U.S. the majority of traffic lights you can turn right on red with a yield and I think the lack of that in the game is a real traffic bottle neck. Would do wonders with that simple addition. Would also be nice to be able to choose in the traffic light setup to have dedicated signals for left turns too, watching the cars drive through each other bugs me.

    How about some bark mulch for a decal. Would be great for landscaping. idk, maybe that would be an idea for the guys that do the trees/bushes/flowers, etc. Could do like a real small one to keep it within the boundaries of whatever trying to fill, along with some larger ones.

    A little more from my small town USA I'm working on. Unfinished shopping area and an apartment complex. More landscaping to do at the apartments and in the parking lots.

Would be nice if at side street intersections the crosswalks are removed and the lane stripes continue through then you would at least have the perception of a non-intersection although the functionality the same. Would be nice for the highway too. Looks terrible that way. Just little things that give a better appearance.
  10. For visual purposes mainly, I wish they would implement side streets without intersections as an option. This is what I am talking about...

    Thanks. Yeah, Breeze, yourself and a little from Ston3D, TOD and TPB in my collection. Wonderful work, blows away the original stuff. Thanks. That's a great idea with the trees. Where any instance of a particular default tree is replaced everywhere in the game with a custom tree of your choice. Nice. At this point I would settle for just a complete tree remover... remove them all and with tree and prop anarchy, prop line tool and all those just have complete control and do it all yourself. You can't even delete them manually to my knowledge.

    Just started playing again since way back in the begiining. Some unbelievable mods and assets available now. Made a little town just getting my feet wet again... the flora by creators like Mr. Maison and others is a game changer, I can't even look at another default Skylines tree.

  14. Loading takes ages

    I've got about 35 mods running, over 180 assets installed and about 20 color corrections so far. I upped my 8 gigs of ram to 16 and it doesn't make a difference in loading times but will help in the game running without lag once you're in it. I get a lot of crashes when loading or starting a new game since using mods, it's probably about a 50/50 chance of a crash then I have to restart and it usually doesn't crash twice in a row. I'll have to check my loading time but off-hand It feels like about 3 or 4 minutes for me.

  23. TV Shows: What are you into right now?

    I just did some binge watching of game of thrones. Love that show, lot's of plots which also keep changing.. keeps it interesting. Plus I can never get enough of movies / tv shows set in medievel times, although there is quite a bit of fantasy stuff in there too. For people familiar with GOT, I thought this skit on Seth Meyers show was kind of funny.
  24. I think the biggest things missing at this point for me is 1. Extended highway functionality. Currently we only have a 3-lane highway and a 1-lane entrance / exit ramp, that's it and that's not enough. At the very least we need a 2-lane highway that can be used as a standalone highway (2 lanes each way) and also be used as entrance / exit ramps. But I'd also like to see 4 and 5 lane highways and in turn the use of excel / decel lanes. That would have me all in. 2. Extended lot sizes. The 4x4 limit really stunts creativity imo. I would also say tunnels but we all know that those are on the way. Also, not sure if tram / light rail are in the works but that would be probably #3 on my list if it is not in the works. These are all things that I wish the game had right now.
