Small model that I`m working on lately. It can became a 1x2 mid density residential, possibly R$$ if I`m happy with the final results. Next I will be working on the night lightning.

Hello folks, first of all, I`m glad to be back to Simtropolis, and I say this as a big thank you to all the people involved in the work to bring the site back online, I was back to playing SimCity 4 in the middle of the site downtime and I cant describe the surprise when I clicked my old Simtropolis browser bookmark, to re download my plugin folder,and found that the site was offline. I`m Glad the site was brought back online, It was a good part of my early to late teenage, that I do not wish to abandon. So,about the file: My last update was pre Covid 19, sooo, it`s a long hiatus, and I practically forgot how to even run bat4max and 3dsmax.So long story short this is a quick model that I made, It`s a common apartment project based on a standard pre fab model, found in almost every mid to big city in Brazil, 42m2, two bedroom . In the game is a stage 3-4 R$ zone, so , mid density, while in real life it`s a common lower middle/middle class housing on high rent value areas, popular among young couples and families, and first generation housing. In fact, this was based on my first apartment when I moved out of my parents house. I included a landmark plop version, among tree growable lots , hope you all like. This is a small project that I made recently. As I said before, its almost ten years since I stopped being active on comunity, and back then I was making a couple of bats on Gmax. As now I have acess to 3ds max, I tryed making this one on bat 4 max. Its not a class A quality BAT,maybe 10 years ago this would be considered as a suchor closely, as I made all the textures on photoshop,and now I know that I can use larger textures,without boggind down the game,maybe the next one would be better,or who knows,maybe I remake this one. As for the BAT,its a R$ Building, (and a landmark one for testing) that I made based on a real building on my city.Its a Ugly one,I know,but even ugly building have to be preserved in some form,as this one is situated on a region strongly leaning towards gentrification,and this building has quite a long history . Maybe in the next ten years he is no longer there. I strongly recommend SimFox Day' Nite mod for this,since I only rendered it in Dark Nite ( Time is scarce,sorry)- 1 Review

Still working on this concept, but on another region/city map. Maybe I will turn this on a CJ, I already have the background sketch on my mind. Maybe, time will tell.

Hello! Its good to be back on STEX,almost 10 years since my last upload! This time I bring a region map. Never bein a fan of region making,in fact I rarely utilized SC4Terraformer or Mapper before, but as I returned to SC4 and Simtropolis recently, I was digging about the subject out of curiosity,and since I found that the process off making real world regions is about the same that I already use in geoprocessing,all the concepts,DEM data aquisition ,height maps,usgs data, etc, I was pratically at home on the subjetc. As said,I never atempted on regions before,so even as the process is the same,there are some tweakings regarding how the game engine handles topography,so there a a lot of room for improvments of future maps, if I make any, anyway. So,about the map: This map is a real scale of the region that I live , if not 1:1 ,its close,since I dont remember the area covered by the original grayscale that I utilized, it was an old college project,but I believe its no less than 19km x 19 km,and no more tham 23x23 km,so I made the region 22x22 tiles Geologically ,its a very old relief (circa 1 to 2 billion of years) ,so its a very intemperized and eroded landscape,in fatc the proeminent elevation on the picture, called Serra de Sao Jose,that roughtly translate to Sao Jose ridge, its the remnants of a +6000 mountain range,that stretched more than 250 km, in the past. The tree main rivers are spatially precisely represented, I utlilized a google earth print over the grayscale map on photoshop to draw the rivers,utilizing the ridge as a point of reference,but since the game offers some limitations, I had to exaggerate a bit the width of the rivers.By the way they are called Mortes (Deaths) Elvas and Carandaí. The Mortes River is the main river,and have a interesting history regarding the name,one that,for the sake of text length, will not tell you ,but for anyone interested,its easy to find on wikipedia. So,I hope you all enjoy the map, again, its not a premium quality content, but since the 10 yars abscence, its one that I want to share. DEPENDENCIES: SC4 Mapper or Terraformer for rendering the SC4M file INSTALLATION: For those that dont know yet how to install regions using the terraformer or mapper,after running the program,you only need to chose create region,and choose SC4M format (dont forget to unpack the zip file before) load the included file, and bamm, wait for render and save it. As always ,sorry for any grammatical error, I'm trying not to use google translator to verify my orthography,and thanks for the attention -
Tutorial: Building dams and shaping rivers
Giuliano40k-- replied to kbieniu7's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
As an Geographer myself, when playing city builder games ,I always try to follow certain rules designing my city and natural scapes, its simply umbearable to not follow the expected behavior regarding topography for egxample. Until recently I played mostly Skylines,since I lost my copy of SC4,my plugins folder, et al ,and its easier to follow this preceits in skylines, as its a more modern game, but as I resumed playing Sc4 , this guide will come in hand to keep following the "rules". Thank's for sharing this tutorial. PS: Recently I found a paper regarding city simulator games , in this case SimCity 4, under the logic of Urban Geography and urban planning, I'll post it here on the forum when I finish reading It. Excuse for my poor English as well,its rusted,at best. -

Hey,it's been a long time since I posted here Well,I'm in the army now,and this is a picture from my graduation (basic infantry training). I serve in a montain infantry battalion,by the way,the only infantry battalion especialized exclusively in montain warfare here in Brazil. Here in brazil,each type of infantry have a different color for the berets,red for airborne,brow or dark green for standard infantry (eg: motorized,armored ect...),blue for the peace force,and here in the 11° montain infantry battalion,we use grey berets as you see in the picture;
