About This File

17th St, Washington DC, by Mattb325.
---------------------------------------

An unusually shaped building that caught my eye on Google Street View when I was making the National Geographic Society Headquarters.

This is an eye-catching modern midrise building that definitely helps break the grid when it grows. I also like fact that it has upper roof gardens (both as open terraces and semi-enclosed spaces (the areas under the metal lattice-work at either end of the building).

The building is offered in different formats for corner lots.

1) A CS§§ growable on a 3x4 and 4x3 lot providing 596 jobs.

2) A ploppable college lot providing 229 jobs and capacity for 6,700 students.

The two CS versions are rotated differently so that both corners are covered.

Select the appropriate file from the download. The file suffixed with 'DN' is for those users with a night-time darkening mod installed. The file suffixed with 'MN' is for users who do not have any such mods installed.

If you are unsure whether you have a night-darkening mod installed, then choose the Maxis night version.

1200 17th St NW! This building is 2 doors down from my therapist's office! I used to pass by it every week. You did a truly spectacular job rendering it, and seeing it in my cities makes me miss living in DC. Kudos! (P.S. If you ever wanted to have another challenge, do the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle a block away on Rhode Island Ave.)
