sign up Calling All Volunteers!
marcio1977 replied to Cyclone Boom's topic in Simtropolis Recovery Project
I can also assist in any of the roles. I have a few GB of downloaded mods, most with both night light modes. I also have some unpacked from the time when they were .exe, although I think they would already be outside the affected period. By the way, I have already updated my few lost files.- 63 Replies

Some are already included in version 1.1.5, such as embankments and churches. But where I'm having fun is creating patches for various plugins that are scattered across random menus... Every now and then, some dilemmas arise about how to group them: by function or by collection. For example: some park systems have paths, green areas, and fillers. I don't know whether to separate them among the existing submenus or group them all into a single, dedicated submenu...

[sc4pac] Let's write our own package manager
marcio1977 replied to memo's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
I use it and this integration is really a helping hand. -
Thanks, @simmering, for the attention. But what I coudn't figure out is where the patch that creates the submenus comes from. I couldn't find it in the basic package with the DLL, and it's not listed on GitHub for version 1.1.5. Thanks, @Ulisse Wolf, that's it! I recently installed CAM 3.0. Would you mind telling what values for the 'Building Submenus' property (0xaa1dd399) are used? I'll try to make a patch to some water equipaments a have.

Well... after hours of trying to find it, I surrender to the thread's companions. I can't figure out where this submenu, referring to water equipment, comes from: I know it uses icons made by @hugues aroux. Thanks for any help.

The Patriarca Square (Portuguese: Praça do Patriarca) is located in the historic center São Paulo, Brazil. At the beginning of the 20th century, the city began to develop plans to remodel and modernize the city in line with the interests of an elite who wanted to mirror the European cities. New buildings and new road works appeared, such as the Santa Ifigênia Viaduct and the Municipal Theater. Consequently, the Viaduto do Chá, built in 1892 to connect the "old" and "new" centers, was remodeled to increase the width of the alleyway and facilitate the circulation of streetcars and vehicles. At the beginning of the 2000s, there was a debate about restoring the square, which was dirty and neglected. In 2002, a controversial redesign completely transformed the site. As part of a series of initiatives promoted by the Viva o Centro Association to revitalize São Paulo's historic center, the project, which also included the Viaduto do Chá, led to the restoration of the square's original floor, the relocation of José Bonifácio's sculpture and the addition of a new roof for access to the Prestes Maia Gallery. The structure, designed by Paulo Mendes da Rocha, works as a portal to the square, framing the visual perspectives and open spaces. Since then, the square has maintained its new configuration, without any alterations, but to this day the new roof divides opinion as to its practicality and beauty. official STEX Custodian General Support Topic
marcio1977 replied to STEX Custodian's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Oppie's Files @oppie was a very creative member of the SimCity 4 community who published many noteworthy items on SimCityCentral and other websites within the SC4 world. There are some of his creations currently on the STEX, however, much of his work was on other sites. As those sites closed out, access to his material became limited. With that in mind, and in the interest of the community, we are collecting Oppie's materail here. These items will be in the condition that they were in as of the date of their previous upload. Eventually, we hope to get things organized and updated in order to uploaded them onto the STEX. Please post if there are any errors in links. Please Note: All automata regarding rail replaces the Maxis default items. On the other hand, all automata regarding buses are additional that do not replace the Maxix buses. It may have been from SimKurier since the installer and associated Readme are in German. Oppie - Urban School.zip Oppie - VOC Ship.zip This one is actually the Maxis Mayflower lotted for Oppie's canal by @burgemeestertijn and can be found on the STEX here. Staff Edit: Earlier posts regarding these have been removed and combined here to save confusion and give a more organized way of presenting Oppie's material. While the content of the original files remains the same, they have been re-structured to prepare them for possible uploading to the STEX. This re-structuring was done with the valuable assistance of @marcio1977. We greatly appreciate the help! -CaptCity- 58 Replies

Yes, indeed he was. And how do you expect this information to be organized? Something like this, like I got from the Safari Park, as example? Custom Queries for Custom Buildings
marcio1977 replied to Kel9509's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
Great work! But, since you asked, I couldn't help but move a few things around: As below, I put general information in the first column, paths in the second and third and in the fourth, I tried to reduce repeated words (see exemples for "Pedestrian" and "Sub/Light Rail") I don't know the technicalities and feasibility, so you can disregard if I went too far. -
[sc4pac] Let's write our own package manager
marcio1977 replied to memo's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
Yes, I'm on Windows 11. I think that Windows-managed folders ('system folders') can somehow create some unwanted friction. And it turns out that the more recent the version, the more intrusive the system becomes, intending to "make life easier" for the user. In my case, I put everything directly in the root, in C:\SC4\Profile01\Plugins -
[sc4pac] Let's write our own package manager
marcio1977 replied to memo's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
I've tried all that plus a lot of permissions combinations on the 'security' tab of files/folder properties with no success. I just gave up using the Plugins folder in Documents folder while using OneDrive and now I use the -UserDir prompt to a folder outside the domains of OneDrive. sc4pac is working like a charm. -
@pikachu_SQ, thanks for the amazing content! Would you please help me to find out if the files I found in this list below: https://cafe.naver.com/simcitysquare/29942 -Especially the ones listed in this section: "김도명(=심시티사장=기와집) 님 " - are listed in your posts? I'm asking because many of them are hosted on "cafe.daum.net", which requires a korean document for registration.

[sc4pac] Let's write our own package manager
marcio1977 replied to memo's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
I'm using Onedrive backup for 'My Documents' and I always have this issue with SC4Pac stopping due to not being able to exclude a folder. Then I just exclude it manually and hit the 'Update All' to continue with the next package... Of course it would be annoying depending on the amount of updates, but at least it is still backing up. -
