You know NAM, you know CAM, now get ready for BAM! Sick and tired of criminals, thefts, liars, politicians, monorail fans, and donuts eaters? Let Bartman help you! This mod will introduce to SimNation the number one crime fighter of Springfield, effectively decreasing the crime in your cities and protecting the good, innocent donuts from police officers and nuclear plant workers. But unlike other mods that would just simulate having Bartman fighting the bad guys by just adding little files to decrease the crime levels in your game, this mod adds Bartman himself! No joke. No simulations. The real stuff. How? Thanks to the wonders of the technology of 31st century New New York, Bartman himself have been digitized and now he's ready to protect your cities. Just add him in your plugins folder and congrats, you now have Bartman in your SimCity. It's time to do the Bartman and let those criminals eat your shorts, mayor. And have a nice day -

@Ulisse Wolf and @rsc204: I moved the previous version (NAM 36) to another folder and installed the new one. I selected the ultra version, I didn't installed the 4GB patch (and yes, I have it), and this time I let outside the RHW and the CANAM (mostly because I've never used them). No crashes, no problems, so far so good. The only thing that bothers me a little is that even if there is no other mod in the plugins folder, and even if I open a small and empty tile, the game takes a lot more time to load than before. But as Twilight Sparkle would said, never be overly critical of something free and generously given to you. I'll just deal with it and maybe invest in a SSD. By the way, if I change my mind and want to add CANAM or RHW, should I use the installer to do that? In case you're wondering where have I been, here's the answer. I've been playing and having fun with NAM and the new stuff, and even build a city with the new pedmalls I was also doing some experiments with the pedmalls. Expect interesting results and ideas very soon

I have a very old version of NAM, released in 3rth of September, 2017. I think it's version 36 or 37. Please don't criticize too harsh I want to update to the newest NAM and I want to be sure that I'm not going to do something so stupid that would mess with my game and cities. What exactly should I do? For the record, I have Windows 10 with 4GB memory and in 64-bit, and a digital copy of the game from GOG.com. How should I remove my current version? Should I use the uninst.exe or just manually removing all folders is enough? I have Java -just updated- and I'm sure (I think) I have the 4GB patch from the older version. Should I re-download or update the patch? Please, feel free to treat me like a little child that have never been played with NAM before

Pedestrian Revolution Mod (PRM, PedRev) - Development and Support
Terring replied to Lucario Boricua's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
I believe this could require a new set of automata that can use both roads and the pedmalls. Maybe drones specialized for various tasks, like in SC13: Cities of Tomorrow. Police departments around the world are already using drones for patrol and SWAT operations, and Amazon is already using drones for delivery despite FFA's restrictions, so having drones in NAM (if possible) is not something far-fetched. Of course you can't expect from a tiny drone to carry an inquired Sim or enough water to put off a fire. So, how about a new set of emergency automata with ion engines to fly above both roads and pedmalls, like the drones above? With all the above ideas, plus the walk-able tram pedmalls, picture this. A "roadless" and "carless" city, where most of transportation happens on foot, by bicycles, scooters and other personal vehicles, or by a flexible tram system that acts like a mix of bus and taxi, while drones, freight trucks and emergency ioncars fly above all of them. @korver's vision of future Paris in action- 34 Replies

@jonnboy1976: I think I know what do you mean. Multiple cities under construction at the same time but not necessary at the same pace. Sounds like a more organic and realistic development of the region and I also tend to think that's definitely better and more reasonable than city-per-city development. It also gives me more freedom to build various infrastructures in different towns and times depending on the region's needs, making Fairview even more organic and adaptable in changes. Of course don't forget that we're into the future, so new technologies such as 3D printing and modular construction could speed up a lot the construction of those town.

You know what I'd love to see in the next 2-3 years? Pedmalls that allows flying vehicles hovering and soaring above the pedestrians, just like the roads of Anno 2070 And, if the draggable pedmalls of the video are street-based, how about road-based or even avenue-based pedmalls? They could look less like car-base roads and more like bicycle lines on some serious acid! Can't wait

The draggable PedMalls with RCI support is something that I always wished. The dream of the Roadless Paradise of SimCity 3000 is coming true. I just can't wait to apply them into my solarpunk towns. However, I haven't see a draggable version of the mountain trail in the video, so I wonder if it's in your plans. I have used the mountain trail in many towns, so a draggable version of it with RSC support would be very useful. By the way, the retrowave pedmall is so awesome

One of my favorite mods is the Diagonal Intersection RoadTop SubwayBus Station (also known as MTRT) made by @uroncha back in 2005. It's a set of bus stops and subway stations that can be placed on top of streets, roads, one-ways and avenues, just like Road-Top Mass-Transit (RTMT). What I enjoy the most in MTRT, however, is that it also includes bus stops and subway stations that can be build on top of T and X intersections as well, which is very convenient for me. Why building bus stops and subway stations next to crossroads, when you can build them on the crossroads themselves? My only complain was that MTRT includes Subway-Bus stations for roads, one-ways and avenues, but not for streets. If RTMT comes with subway and sub/bus stations for streets, why not MTRT too? So, I decided to make 4 new lots as a little add-on for MTRT to include road-top sub/bus stations for both straight and diagonal streets, as well as for tee and cross intersections. You can now get them from here.

Solarpunk is a relatively young genre and it's not as popular as steampunk and cyberpunk. Maybe this is why Midjourney mixes those "punks" together in an attempt to recreate what you ask it to create.

@TheMurderousCricket: Thank you very much. To be honest, a more regional gameplay indeed comes very handy for my project. There have been times that I wanted to build something but I had to wait until I finished some of my cities to do it. With a more regional approach that's not necessary anymore. Making a step back to see the whole picture helps a lot. I also have some props to customize my buildings by adding green roofs and walls, and I've already put the idea to the test at some Maxis buildings. So you maybe can expect more green roofs and walls in my CJ. @Daeris: Thank you very much. I'm an environmental engineer and I've been supporting The Venus Project since 2004. As you can see, discovering the solarpunk aesthetic and philosophy was only a matter of time. Your pictures are great and I wouldn't be surprised if those people are in Fairview. But to be honest, they look less like solarpunk and more like a cool mix of steampunk and cyberpunk, especially the first picture with the badass lady wearing Victorian-Western clothes and holding a futuristic revolver. A more solarpunk style would be something like this: For more information and examples on solarpunk, I recommend checking r/solarpunk, r/SolarpunkPorn and r/ImaginarySolarPunk on Reddit. You'll find a lot of ideas and inspiration for your works

#20yearsSC4 Challenge - Full Modded
Terring replied to Ulisse Wolf's topic in SC4 Challenges - Info and Discussion
Welcome to Poros, a small town of the 22nd century named after a small island in Greece. Poros is more like a settlement with less that 300 Sims, powered by wave power. Because of its unique location, Poros heavily depends on passenger and cargo VTOL ioncrafts for supplies and access to the other cities. A small marina is right now under construction by robots. Poros is getting more popular as a whales observation and eco-tourism spot, but strictly regulations have to be enforced to ensure that the local population of whales will not get disrupted by the town's activities. This is also one of the reasons why there is no any bridge here. I wanted to build something really cool and epic, such as a big city of the future with arcologies and spaceships soaring around. Sadly, I'm incredible busy right now with my postgraduate studies and not only. I remember that the last time we've had challenges in Simtropolis was many years ago. Back then I had a laptop and latter a old PC, which both of them were so bad they couldn't play SimCity 4 at all. My new PC plays the game with no issues and, despite my lack of time, I just didn't want to lose another opportunity to participate in a challenge like that. So, I tried to make something creative but more humble. The only kind of editing in this picture is the addition of the cyan exhausts of the two small ioncrafts by Microsoft Paint, just for a more interesting and dramatic effect. Hope that you like it- 15 Replies

One of @SimGoober's prop packs (I think SG Vol01) includes prostitutes (both male and female) and a male flasher.
