Was going to have a great day, then I saw the news and remembered all those movies I grew up with...Goodbye Sir. Christopher Lee was the kind of actor that couldn't even remember the titles of the movies he played in...not because he was old but because he did too many..At age 90, he was still working on average on 3 movies per year. And you could see how humble he was after a career of 69 years.

Woow that theater is awesome! As for the buildings, I'd say 1-2-3-4 and maybe 9. I honestly think we still lack mid sized office buildings for downtown areas and suburban office parks. The first 4 buildings would be a great addition to the stex!

Lots by Edvarz: development and support

T Wrecks sent me here Okay my 2 cents for this: You're off to a great start here! The LBT Team has been looking for someone for the lotting part of their huge prop pack, you're definitely the one they were looking for. The colonial part is really interesting, I really like the idea of using walls to complete the smaller buildings. I personally would have added a couple trees on these. I also suggest you make a larger lot for more realism. The initial LBT colonial pack had 6x6 lots, you could use the same formats for loarger lots and could add some streets like I did here: I haven't visited Mexico yet (unfortunately ), but from what I saw in South America and the Caribbean, the streets in colonial cities are pretty narrow, you could make larger lots where you would include smaller streets, using an old cobblestone/brick texture as a base texture and you could make larger lots with bigger buildings where you could include a plaza For the residential part, you should definitely take a look at CDM Madero's work here The houses are still lacking a few trees in my opinion. For the trees you could use CP's props, that are available at SC4 Devotion, this is basically a general dependency, most people have this prop pack, you can get desert trees to recreate houses from Northern Mexico, some more general trees if you want something like Central Mexico or tropical and palm trees for a region like Yucatan or Guerrero. I also would have used the cars from VIP/Girafe prop pack, there are great HD car props that are more realistic and come with a variety of colors at different angles (90 degrees or 45 degrees), you can see the cars on the pictures I posted here. For the larger residentials, I would have used other textures, especially for the parking lots, I would have used LBT's textures. Heblem also worked on a custom pack of textures that I can give you if you want (just PM me we'll figure that out ) I would have added some extra props for more luxurious residentials, like football/tennis/basketball courts or swimming pools. Some highrise luxurious residentials have been released but are not available on the STEX, I can give them to you if you want (Thank you STEX Collections CDs!) As you said, you're just starting to work on the offices, a lazy trick I recommend you is the use the default Maxis storefront props for the frontage of the buildings, I can't remember the exact name of the props on the LE, but I can get that for you. Basically, you can add realistic storefronts to your buildings like restaurants, retail stores, hairdressers or laundry stores, it gives a more realistic feeling and since it's a Maxis dependency, everybody has them! I used that technique on a couple of buildings for my CJ: That's what I have to say for the moment, I'll definitely come back to check the progress of your work Keep up the good work and good luck -

Wow that's a very very nice start! Don't forget that the LBT also released another huge prop pack of R$ C$ CO$ buildings that you might be interested in, plus they were looking for someone to do the lotting I started a similar project for my Latinamerican CJ bus stopped on the way..I hope you don't mind if I take you some of your ideas in case I go back to that project The accuracy is pretty good For more accuracy, I would have added some sidewalk items, but it might end up with oddities for people that have special sidewalk mods. I'd love to see an in-game picture to see the result final result with houses put next to the others. Keep up the good work amigo!

Foreign Drug Smugglers Executed in Indonesia
Bastet69008 replied to ROFLyoshi's topic in Current Events
Questioning the sovereignty of a country is out of a question, just like you guys said, ''when in Rome...''. But I think those executions hide a real problem. Indonesia has some of the toughest laws on drug trafficking and drug consumption in the world. President Widodo was often presented as a defender of human rights when elected, this totally goes against his image and the image he wants to give of his country and applying the death penalty is more than questionable, especially considering the fact that Indonesia itself recently asked Saudia Arabia for clemency, in the case of an Indonesian citizen that committed a murder in Saudi Arabia. Still, those executions are hiding a bigger problem in the country. Indonesia has executed folks that we could consider as low level criminals, they were mules using Indonesia as a platform to either send drugs to Australia from other South-East Asian countries or enter drugs in Indonesia for the 'local market' or working on machinery to . President Widodo wanted to set make an example of these executions but it's not going to solve the problem since too few has been done when it comes to countering the activities of local drug lords or to enhance international cooperation to solve the issue on a regional level. -

Video Tutorial - Custom Model for Cities: Skylines
Bastet69008 replied to Bastet69008's topic in Cities: Skylines Modding - Open Discussion
One of the most used tool by some SC4 Batters is 3ds Max, officially the full version costs $3,675. I don't think most of us got this tool by actually buying it. Some softwares have a free for students licensing feature, while others well...I won't get into details I just posted this to provide an alternative source to model buildings. Still, I agree with you, we should pin a thread with ALL tutorials. I even think we should open an Omnibus thread for C:SL with tutorials for 3ds Max, Sketchup, Blender, Etc etc.
