Yo, Yarahi --

Thanx much for the pipelines -- just what I needed.

One problem though (with the Rising Sun Refinery stuff) -- Deadwood prop packs seem to have disappeared from most sites.  Any suggestions on where to find them?

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

Coal Piles:

  th_145486605_CoalPile_122_527lo.jpg
This is the only coal pile I've been able to find.  It is actually quite good, but the thing seems to float above the terrain.

1.  Has anyone found a way to solve that problem?

2.  Has anyone found a smaller coal pile?

3.  Has anyone found other piles of stuff -- gravel, sand, dirt, wheat, etc. etc.?

Yo, Nos.17 --

Thanks so much for the Diggis Ponds -- those are exactly what I was looking for.

I have the Nam 32 installed, but only the Traffic simulator.  Do I need to do a re-install?  Do I remember a bunch of boxes under the Traffic box that need to be checked off?  What else might I need to check off?  I might like to go through life with curved roads, roundabouts, and overpasses.  "Ye of much experience" -- please advise.  What is the "upside" and the "downside".

SOMY ISSUE:

I scoured Somy's 9 pages three complete times -- NO SHIPYARDS!  Unless there was only a text link in Japanese (my German and Spanish are reasonably fluent -- but my Japanese is hopeless).  I spent four days following every link Google could find for Somy and never saw the shipyards, though I downloaded everything from the site you linked me to (He does GREAT ports and ships).  Do you actually have the Shipyard files?  Does anybody?

Dreadnought, sorry if this wasn't made clear, but the links are in the pictures. Click on the photo of what you want and it will give you the .zip file.

About the SAM, read what Mushy said and I would recommend a custom install. That way you can select exactly what you do and don't want, if you are worried about space.

Cheers... ;)

LNG tanks are by SOMY; http://somy.gozaru.jp/p6.htm

The exansion of the university is probably a result of creative lotting (everything is from the base game) - did manage to find these pieces though; https://community.simtropolis.com/profile/113681-ditro/content/?type=downloads_file

Yarahi beat me to it -- but you'll find some other great stuff there as well!  Enjoy it -- he does great work!

That's OK, guy --

Yes, I know the pictures are the links -- I already downloaded his stuff about three days ago.  But that's OK -- the drydocks in the picture turned out to be Hyundai Heavy Industries by Kindomyung.  They were just what I was looking for.

been a while since I've used that set.. what is the full name of the dependency?

Also remembered another set of pipes by HerbSt

Yo --

I found the Deadwood stuff that was missing a couple hours ago.  I came across an old thread that was talking about the very same missing prop/brown box issue.  In Deadwood's oil field he had some great lots with the "bobbing donkey" pumps, but every lot had a brown box.  I read the whole thing, then followed links to two more threads, and finally found out that his prop packs had been re-packaged by BSC.  During the re-pack, they left out a particular flora prop that, fortunately, is in the "BSC Parks Base Set v.02".  I got it, installed it, and the boxes went away !! YAY!!

You know, I remember when I wouldn't download anything with a dependency.  Now I'm hunting for obscure flora bits! (lol)

Thanx, again -- I'll check out Herb's Pipes (uh -- not literally).

P.S.  God Bless, Herb -- no dependencies!

@ DavidDHetzel: The building on the right next to the yellow one is this one:

https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/29133-charlotte-apartments/

It is actually not one building, it is at least 3 of the same building next to each other in this pic. The lot size is 1x4 and comes in two different versions.

Kind regards!

Yo, guys --

While I'm experimenting with the wonders of Nam 32, I'm still lining up stuff for my "super refinery" project.

Every refinery needs at least one railyard and several sidings scattered around.  I have the SFBT railyard stuff, but they only have sidings for freight and passenger cars.  Anybody got any ideas how I get tank car sidings for the refinery, and coal gondola sidings for my power station, coal mines, etc?

I suppose I could try my hand at making sidings.  IF I can get my hands on a LOT file that isn't packaged in one of the "InstallI .exe" bundles, I could try running it through EDITOR, remove their props, and put my own car props on it.  Would the lot still be train enabled if I do that?  (Or am I about to open a whole nother can of worms?)

Editing a TE lot (one for freight trains to enter) will not affect the transit properties, provided you don't mess with them. The lot itself can be changed however you like, but if you reduce or increase its size, you might affect the Transit Enabling.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

This is over-analysing the situation..

1.) Game has 2 types of train automata - passenger and freight which is spawned by their respective types of stations. You can't seperate more than that

2.) Automata will drive on any types of transit enabled lot regardless of obstacles

3.) Thus adding stationary props to a TE-lot = crash/disaster

So if you are going to make personalised sidings, there is no point in worrying about te-properties... just have them as eye-candy

Yo, guys --

Quick question:

I installed the Brigantine water Mod and am reasonably pleased with it.  (Considering I don't want to risk trying to run HD water.)

I've been experimenting with the sea floor to see what depths will give me color variations -- basically terra-forming the seabed and adjusting the depth.

Does Brigantine disable my Whale automata?  I haven't seen them. (I kinda' miss the little nippers.)

Don't know to much about the in-game whales...

but you could download custom ones by Xannepan here; https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2911

he (and nbvc) has more fauna to download both land and underwater animals

YO, GUY --

Moby Dick and his pals finally turned up -- must'a been busy sinkin' the Pequod! (lol)

I thought I'd made my last search for a while, but Can you recommend a good, ploppable rock Mod??

Something I can use in harbors, cliff side shingle beaches, ponds, and rivers.  In essence, a reliable, attractive, MMP rock & boulder Mod.

Meadowshire was supposed to have one in the terrain controller -- but it never appeared on the MMP menu.

Thanx --

@ Constanta: Thanks I was able to track down the BATs in the 1st picture. Blue & Pink roofs were indeed somy's creations although the other ones not from SFBT but Delecto.

Still looking for those 3 grey tenements in the upper left corner:

Texas Roadhouse is somewhere in here. The industrials in the jail picture look like something made by Jesstar.

I have that, but I don't think I've seen one grow, nor do I remember the building in any props I've played with on lot Editor.

It grows, I've seen it in one of my cities... Very rare though... :) It grows on a 4x4 or a 5x4 lot at Stage 3.

Kind regards!

I really hope someone can shed some light on this for me. I am wondering if the palms highlighted in the images above are available as plop-able foliage... Are they, and if so where might I find them. They look great.

Are there any oil companies/gas stations signs? I need only the signs for highway decorations

I actually helped nos.17 with creating some mmps out of the b62 signs.  You could send him a PM... He'd probably upload them.
