anyone know where to find ks_jpn's 21st century tower & marina crown?

For 21st Century Tower, it is here:

http://27.pro.tok2.com/~chilitomato2/

Click on the 'Bat & Lot' on the top, and then click on 'Commercial Buildings', and in the list of scyscrapers there is the building you want.

For Marina Crown:

EDIT: Ninjad by Schreifer... :P

I believe I found both buildings. They are on the BSC LEX and require some dependencies.

The buildings:

21st Century Tower

Marina Residence

The dependencies:

ks_jpn MEGA props Vol. 1

ks_jpn MEGA props Vol. 4

I must also note that these buildings require the Colossus Addon Mod and more information about the mod itself and other buildings compatible with it can be found here.

does someone know how to find the code of the base terrain to use it as base texture with the lot editor?

Thanks!

@dossenaandrea: the textures used for maxis terrain are in simcity2.dat but under group id #891b0e1a

when you use lot editor you can only see textures under group id #0986135e

With reader you can open the dat, locate the textures you want to have in the lot editor, copy/paste them in a new dat and change their group id with the TGI editor.

But be warned that 2 identical textures may not render identically in game if they are used differently (one for lot texture, one for terrain mod) so you'll have to fiddle with hue, brightness and probably other parameters if you want a perfect match

I'm having a rough time finding some.

I've seen several European style buildings around, but are you looking for something with older architecture or something a little more modern? I could pull up both styles if you want.

Well, both would be very much appreciated.

Though, I'm mostly aiming for modern condos and such.

I found these buildings that might fit what you're looking for. It's a mix of modern buildings with some having a more futuristic style architecture and other having a somewhat 1980's style of architecture.

A while back I downloaded a zip from a forum that contained a temporary slope mod. This mode made it so roads could only be completely flat, and I used it to save a lot of time terraforming straigt edge shores and terraces. Anyone know where I can find this slope mod or one like it? Or how to create my own like that...

Hello and welcome to Simtropolis!

To answer your question about a slope mod, there are some slope mods on the STEX that help with level road networks. All of them should prevent crooked, up-and-down roadways from happening and instead force all networks to be more of a gradual slope.

If you would like to create a slope mod, there are and there is the omnibus to answer general content-creating questions. If you would rather have someone else create a certain mod, there are the kind of mod you are looking for.

I hope this helps and again, you are welcome to Simtropolis!

Use Google Translate.  It does a good job on all the Japanese SC4 sites.

Sorry if this is a silly question but where do people get all these North American houses i keep seeing in city journals? LIke this from sim_link's CJ https://i1118.photobucket.com/albums/k603/simLinkSC4/HD24/HD24_Manatee9_zps97a70458.jpg

Are they part of a pack?

A lot of those are mattb325 bats. Follow this link and under "Author/Creator" select 'mattb325' to see all the files he has submitted to the SC4DLEX.

Looks like the original building, from Maxis, doesn't it?

I especially love Just search for parks on STEX or LEX and you're bound to find hundreds...
