Nice to see things starting to get back online! I don't really sound like a whiny misunderstood child, but I can't help but miss the old site format :P But it is quite refreshing to see this. May be I'll grow to like it in time ^_^

I'm liking the new design. Seems like a big improvement for the mobile version! Still a bit slow, but that's probably temporary. Thanks, everybody!

Don't like the new style at all, too sleek, too tablet-y, too minimalist, but at least there are round things and that makes it better than Windows 8.

The Location thingy under the forum name needs a space after it, and I am quite disappointed to see awards aren't displayed anymore.

Agreed.  The whole "flat" trend (it's just that) needs to go off to a forgotten corner and die a quick yet painful death.

That said, I do overall like the changes I've seen so far.

Looking good, one slight problem logging in as it no longer recognized my old username, on the old system you could change your name, but you still had to log in using your original username ... it took me a couple of minutes to realize that I needed to log in using the name I'd changed it to a couple of years ago.

Quirks so far:

1. I originally signed in with the username "Ganaram DI", and prior to now, that's what I sign in as, regardless of namechanges. Now I have to sign in as "Ganaram Inukshuk" because it seems that "Ganaram DI" has been lost and now whatever name I have now, that's what I sign in as.

1.5. Tried to sign in through Google, didn't seem to work as of this hour.

2. Square avatar in a circle viewing hole. Uhh, where's the scissors?

The awards are probably gonna be displayed sometime later. I doubt that awards displays are going to be their top priority when most of the site is still offline :P

I agree, this new look is very clean and easy on the eyes. Looking forward to the STEX opening up as I just got a copy of Cities: Skylines and I am looking for new content. :)

Great job to everyone involved,

Well, as always, upgrading the ST version is like moving on into a new rented flat. It feels strange but exciting at the begining, then you begin seeing small details you don't like or that were better in the previous flat... and a bit later you wonder how could you live in the previous flat. The new one has already grown into you and now you don't even consider living somewhere else.

Sure this will be the general thinking in a few weeks. Great job, Dirk!

The one that had the most improvement is the mobile site. I really like it since I can now see the same functionality as the main website (the old mobile website gave me nothing at all). We are still missing all of the emoticons except for the happy face but I can compensate for that o(^▽^)o

Looking forward to to the new sections! :)

We had a discussion on this, and I believe that the awards system had to be overdone, either way we will have the awards system up again. The new system looks brilliant on mobile however,  a big improvement!

After spending the past four hours trying to beat the clogged servers, I have to say I'm positively surprised. I felt a little bit confused at first, but I quickly got around to it. I like the modern format. Now if only I could access the chat...

Edit: And the lol emoticon.

Wow!  That was a long haul.  Hope this finishes in good order.

Will look in later.  Got in from my script trial balloon, but the forums seem fine.  Will try again in a couple of hours.

I'm sorry to break the two post rule, but I feel like it's necessary to reinforce my statement. I've spent about forty minutes on here and I really love the new design! It's so fresh. A new start.

New decor is quite nice, now that I have had a chance to explore it a little.  I am sure that things will be better when the conversion is complete.  The new decor is slick and quite interesting.  Well done.

It's good to see ST back up.  Nice job on the new interface!  It seemed a little cluttered before IMO; I'm not complaining about that, though.
