This thread seemed a little quiet, so I thought I might post something just to liven things up. I've only just gotten back to doing a little brazilian BATs, and have made improvements to 105 Lelio Gama and have started a small amount on Torre Almirante.

 

105 Lelio Gama

 

The rooftop on the right version is a lot better done and more true to the apperance of the tower's rooftop concrete, being quite heavily weathered. I could add more weathering since the RL version tends to be a lot more vivid, but it'll do so far. I also decided to remodel the ventilation units. Not sure if I should've though...

 

Which of the two ventilation units look better? The Left or the Right?

The left looks a lot better, but I think the right one has better textures on the top of the units, looks a bit more weathered

I also think the left ventilation units look better and I prefer textures of the right one

Ok.. I've been working really hard and have hopefully a nice surprise for some of you. As anticipated, the BATed ground didn't look that crash hot in the game and even more hideous at night. So I've relented and spent many horrendous hours making a custom foundation for the platform. This entailed making the platform taller, closing in some gaps, separating the stairs, making custom LODs, many grueling hours spent in the lot editor lining the platform up to the foundation, re-exporting everything on a slightly different pivot point, re-doing all the above again.. making a separate lot for the stairs, many tedious tweaks to get it to line up with the platform... kill me now...   but here's the result:

I've also finished all the seating on Engenhão Stadium, but will post an update another time

 

Huston - these are looking great. I also prefer the right-hand side version, but I can't help but feel like the all the colours are a bit over-saturated at the moment. The model is great though

Nice update on the statue Red. Looks all better to me now. Night lights are also fantastic albeit the first image looks weird to me, must be because of the angle.

So I'm sitting in my 2 hour long geography lecture, and I thought I'd open up Lelio for about 30 minutes. I've rescaled it again (it still look too wide), Fixed the HVACs (you'll like them a lot better now ) and added a few little roofjunk tidbits. It's something, especially when I haven't worked on it for months

After a long time and hard work ... I'm finishing this job.

In this version, the bike path is next to the street. The next images are the basic lots into the park menu, each lot has few props and all lots doesn't have any tree. My idea is to make lots as simple as possible and enrich them with the Mayor Mod Props. This will prevent the feeling of repeated lots and it'll allow you to choose your preferred props.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the next images there are Mayor Mode props made by me, some props are on the lot.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I don't write well in English but I think this won't be a problem. I wait for feedback and suggestions.

Wow, that's looking great! I love the smooth transition from orthogonal to diagonal! I also like your approach of adding mayor mode props to avoid repetition - not to mention that those plants look pretty gorgeous, too.

 

A tiny problem is that the plants appear to grow right out of the ground when used on the pavement, but the only way to avoid this would be by adding a planter / dirt circle to the plant itself, and that would look stupid when the player plops plants on sand or open ground. Making two versions would double the amount of items in the menu, and that may not be to everyone's liking, either...

After a few months without time to work on the project, I'm now in winter vacation and have some improvements to show on Maracanã Stadium
Now I have to model some gates, the poles behind the goals, the stair in that glass part and other little things. Don't worry about those advertising, I'll make then better to the final version. I gave up modeling the seats, I just used an image I found on internet from Maracanã stands to use as texture.

Absolutely superb work! Really looking forward to seeing more from this fantastic project. It's this sort of work that keeps SC4 alive for all of us still playing and enjoying the game.
