Of course I could do that, too. But see, people mostly do the stuff they want. And if you want that building, just give it a try yourself. You not having the skills will most likely be because you never had anything to do with modelling and didn't even try it. And honstely, that building isn't the hardest one.

Girafe: The individual fins were modeled, and then I selected different sections and rotated them. Then I gave them a Mutli/Sub-Map with slightly different greys to give more definition to the individual fins.

So now onto the roof which is more painful than I had imagined. I've got most of the penthouse masses modeled. There are still a few left to add. And then there's windows and stuff on the penthouses. And then there's the task of adding the incredible amount of roof junk... Wish me luck...

Talking about those fins: they are the main covering of this other Rio building:

The Petrobras Building, located in the downtown of the city and designed by Roberto Gandolfi.

These things look like real life arcologies!

Maybe having the covering partially resolved could help to do a combo pack (only if the workload isn't too heavy)

Grt work! ThePetrobras building has a really stunning architecture.

I usually take a free cappuccino on the floor 9, on the balcony, watching the cityscape, with the Rio Cathedral in pyramid shape, another gorgeous building, a look from inside:

This will probably be my last BAT for the project. The Olympics are closer than they seem, and with my other BAT projects I don't think there'd be time for another. I did look into the Petrobras HQ but as you can see it's a big BAT. I tried to find high resolution elevation and plan drawings ideally with dimensions, which would have made the building A LOT easier to make, but even though the building is such a landmark I couldn't find anything. If someone who speaks Portuguese can find high resolution drawings it's more likely that I'd be able to make the building for the project.

It's taken way longer than expected, but I think it's done! 

What's left to do is texture the columns on the ground (I keep on forgetting), and scale the building to snugly fit the lot, and model the invisible sidewalk and roads for the facade to reflect. And then of course nitelites. But unless anyone has any comments or I see something else to tweak this is pretty much how it will look I think.

elavery: I knew about the roof junk coming into it but it's always so easy to think "oh, that won't be too bad" until you finally get to it.  But the roof is the best looking part.

Toothless Stitch: Yeah the main facade of the building is nice and in good shape... And then they built a favela on top.  The real building has a much messier roof than mine though. There was some roof junk that I just couldn't make out in the aerials and so I left it off.

Hi, I bring some images, the differences between the previous images and this are the diagonal lots:

Unfortunately, the diagonal lots don't have slope tolerance because the curves are props, but there are diagonal textures for lotters do customized lots.

About the flora props, the flunight prop pack 1 received new trees, the old version that was available in old simcitybrasil.com is obsolete and incompatible with the last one. All props of this pack have been remodeled and gotten new ID.
