Here's to many more, it will take a while for me to reach as many years on staff as I had off staff and it'd be a shame if we didn't reach that point.

Heheh thankyou! Wasn't expecting a Trixie, but thankyou to those that nominated me!

I'd like to take the time to point out that a Trixie sure is fun, but in the end it's not why we do it. Awesome people build awesome cities because they amuse us, look good and give us some satisfaction. The same applies to BAT creators. Forumers are here not to see the hard work they do rewarded with a Golden Llama, but because the benefits of helping an engaging, vibrant and overall lovely forum is a reward in itself. However those Llamas are a nice way to show appreciation for such, and those who have recieved one certainly deserve it.

Once again congratulations to all those that won, or were nominated. It means a lot to us all.

AS repeat winner of the Best Story Trixie, I again had a long, interesting acceptance speech and was prepared to copy and paste it directly into this very box for all the world to see my skill with prose, when my babies stormed into the room and ate the very bits of which it was composed, destroying, for the second year running, a most magnificent thank you speech.  As such, in lieu of this, I'll just say a humble thank you to those who nominated me, thank you to those who read my work, and thank you for putting up with a city journal short on pictures and long on words!

 

But above all else, congratulations to the winners!  There are people here who are incredibly creative, and we are blessed that they choose to show their best to us.  The same goes to the staff members, I've yet to come across a friendlier, more supportive site in all the internets.  Congratulations, us.

What really came as a complete surprise to me was the Best SC4 City Planner trixie. I did not expect this, but I now understand how I was qualified to win it from the nomination explanation.

First of all, congratulations to all the winners and runners-up!!

 

Secondly, well, sooner or later it had to come, first first time I don't get a CJ Trixie since 2009. Contrarily to what it can look, this isn't bad news at all. This fact demonstrates that this site, and especially the CJ section is as alive as it has been during the last years. Players come, players go and eventually, some awesome player appears. We are having a swarm of them lately, and all of them deserve a prize for their work. The competition down there at the CJ section is fierce each week, Benedict can speak well about that. We have a generation of SC4-gifted players right now... In fact, we always have had it.

 

Admins, feel proud for what you care of. Mods, feel proud for the task you do. Winners, feel proud to be the best of the best in SC4 out there. CJers, feel proud because you show the best you have in store!

 

Now, let the champagne run! :party:

And wow, thanks for the awards, I'm very grateful for the support! It's a pleasure to contribute at such a special community, with a diverse range of people from many corners of the globe. Even if not interested in city-building, Simtropolis helps us all to find a common ground, wherever or whatever that may be. It's also been gratifying to be part of the staff team, and working with the other mods and admins throughout the past year.

 

Even if you've not been nominated or won an award this year, don't feel left out. The important thing is you enjoy being part of the community, and most of all have fun.

Absolutely amazed, and honoured, to have won a Trixie. I did not expect Cattala to get a Trixie, ever, and simply to be nominated over the past couple of years has been a privilege. 

I'm so pleased with how Cattala has been received over the past three and a half years. It's developed a very long way and that's thanks to the help and support of the generous members of the Simcity community.

After 116 updates, my time to produce updates and work on my cities and my (seemingly more popular!) rural regions is much diminished. I won't be doing another update until at least June or July due to my final A2 exams coming up this summer. But I hope that Cattala will be back soon.
