Not yet?

Nope, I didn't see it. You had to point it out to me. *

I've run some city tiles up into the 4 digit years. Maybe even as far as the middle ages, but I've not gone to where it's the current date. Ofc, this doesn't count if you used the cheat to set the date. *:P

Was not aware there was a cheat for that lol.  I used to plop everything but the functionality of the city really sucked.  So I started using zones, but I still want to use particular buildings in specific places so I run the simulation a lot to try and get what I want to grow.  I’ve burned over 100 years or more just waiting on a specific block.

This oddity is a wee bit different. I watched this video, then went to this site, and let it convert a SimCity 4 image into a spreadsheet of values ranging from 0 to 255. It looks like this at 200%:

imghp0610.jpg

Which just looks weird, however when smooshing it down to 20% in Libre Office's Calc program and setting the column widths to 0.39 it looks like this:

Cori Farm Spreadsheet in Gimp75.jpg

The only problem is the file it creates on that site must be opened with true MS Excel cause it has to do some sort of repair. @Cyclone Boom did that and then Libre Office would accept it. I'll attach the files in case anyone wants to see them for themselves in a spreadsheet program.

For Libre Office Calc: Cori-Farm-Libre-Office-pixel-spreadsheet.ods

For true Excel: Cori-Farm-pixel-spreadsheet_10-percent.xlsx

The picture with the farm reminds me the old trailers and intros of video games from the 90's.

Which would actually enable drivers to pass this spot for the first time if it piles up high enough. *:D Then again, coming from the bottom right you might just make it if only you drive fast enough...

Ah, the memories... guess we all started building without a slope mod and ended up having many "missile shooting ramps" in our cities.

@rivit: That looks like the car (or several cars!) had been compressed to a box-shaped lump of metal at the scrapyard and dumped on the sidewalk. * Maybe it's a Mafia threat? In any case, beautiful UVW mapping!

yes I agree,  but first I have to find the culprit...

~~

Later - found it! - the Japanese Car Mod overrides Some Simcity1 models (this one 0x1063) was a pickup in SC4 - so you can get new textures on a old model depending on the loading sequence.

So this is a new one for me.  While waiting for some row homes to grow I noticed this throwing action near a large downtown apartment tower and discovered a bunch of randy kids tossing toilet paper into a tree.  If I knew how to create gifs, I'd make one.  Just the thing @SimFox would leave on one of his lots ;)

I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.

Following up on @Haljackey's suggestion, we have merged posts from the Show us your SimCity 4 funnies/glitches thread into this one and then locked the old thread. The posts from there will get interspersed into this one so here's a list of them so you can find them:

Also, @Cyclone Boom has copied over the Followers List from that thread and added them to this one.

Here's what happens when you use bump elevation from NAM (Raiser Lot) + PEG MTP No Street or Road Junk MOD 205 and when you have a dependency with a Building/prop Family position of 0x00000000 !!!
I suffered with this problem for about 12 hours, but found the cause.

I do not advise You to deal with Building/prop Family position of 0x00000000 !!!

Maybe it will help someone in the future.

Good luck to You all.*:D

Looks like some inner weirdness with the moisture simulation getting catched by the tree-planting pattern
