Hahaha, I've never watched such a crowd gathering so closely. However, I doubt that NAM has much influence on it. The crowd itself is caused by a property called "landmark ogle" or something similar that is added to any lot with landmark properties by default (but can be removed). The remaining behaviour should simply be as the automata/traffic visualisation in SimCity dictates. *:)

I don't have many at grade rail crossings, I guess my sims do not know how to use them! Even my rails look beat up from all the chaos here, and funding is at 118%!

I don't see what's wrong here. That's pretty standard for my Wal*Mart, esp. if I go on Sunday. ;-) (We won't even talk about the parking lot at the Whole Foods. *shudder*)

I brought this here on @CorinaMarie 's request.

No, cow! You can not take the subway! Go back in the pen with the other cows! (Also notice another cow halfway through the fence, escaping the same way the first cow did. Apparently in the universe of SC4, matter can exist simultaneously in the same space and time as other matter.)

(I remember reading something about a specific farm BAT, if zoned too small, the cows would walk through the fence. I wonder if this file used the same plugin? Or if this is just a general SC4 or SPAM cow bug?)

Okay, @rivit, I have to know where you got the van. My cities have a strong NEED for them. (I did a search for hippy van, hippie van, and peace van and couldn't find it.)

I've never seen the inset traffic congestion map do this before:

Hey, but those 'car fields' indeed exist! At least here, where there are no auto factories, their sellers keep huge numbers of them parked on fields as selling stock.

I'll look for some photos later...

Btw, those grown parking lots will not have any automata appear since it's just a texture replacement. Also, there's the water bug with them since they are intended as an overlay texture and not a base.

Now, this one isn't really an oddity, but it fits my current testing and it turns out I like it so well I might just add it as one of the selectable fields:

While you're probably aware of the possibility, I'd like to chime in and mention what I did when creating a farm field that was supposed to be a traditional orchard (Streuobstwiese), where you have fruit trees planted in an irregular pattern, at varying distances, on grassland:

I picked two or three of the seamlessly tiling Maxis grass textures (or their single-wealth counterparts from the BSC packs) and assigned all three texture IIDs as REPs to the lot exemplar. Then I searched for the lines in the lot exemplar that represented the fruit tree props (three in my example), and added many REPs pointing to an empty (invisible) dummy prop exemplar in order to ensure that, in most cases, only one or two (very rarely all three, and often none) of the possible spots would actually have a tree growing there.

The result was quite nice IMO: Randomly textured grassland sprinkled with randomly positioned trees. Breaks the grid nicely.

While awareness for prop families is definitely there, I often find that awareness of the ad-hoc type of prop families is somewhat lower, and the potential of ad-hoc "texture families" is hardly tapped into at all - which is a shame IMO.
