@ Turjan: About #3: I believe the no road access zot shows up because this building probably has jobs on it, not because it is network-enabled.

Sure, that is the reason. Nevertheless, the problem is that the lot didn't want to cooperate with letting me connect it.

However, this fixed itself. Not this particular plopped lot, but deleting and replopping helped.

I am having an awesome time using the building plop cheat on this test city of mine while pruning every RCI building I don't like and bulldozing them until something fits in that zone. It is a whole new ballgame.

Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

Are you even plopping residential buildings?

Sometimes I am. And yes I know they don't actually provide any workers.

# The new version of Saitama Prefecture comes with a lot of private content, here you can see another preview.

( In the picture you can see the "Saitama Aqualiner" which connects all the bay of Saitama by sea )

Greetings and I hope you like the new picture. :thumb:

That private content makes me jealous I don't have it :P

Nice pic. It's evident that you've been pruning the city a bit to make it flow better :)

I'm still stuck on my Vancouver 2186 Mini-project. It's taking aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages.

Got new additions though_

Huston: Wow,what an impressive and interesting (but still kinda weird and unconventional) building. Not sure what hit this building but it still shows much of it`s style, even in damaged state.

Those circular things at the base, are these hallways?

Also the new Vancouver Condos look really nice.Big enough to stand out but not too big to be complete out of place in an existing neighborhood.

kelistmac: Your harbor turns out really nice.Love the small details like crates and workers scattered all over the place.Keep on the good work.

Well,i also have something small to show.I`m currently working on another area in Manhattan, but still very close to the last location i showed in my Diary.

Maybe you can guess the place.

This Church is surrounded by tunnels, tunnel entrys and exits, new and old development and loks kinda out of place...

New airport. This one is named Freeman International Airport, taking the name form an older airport that was featured in a picture for the competitions.

AIRMAN: That airport looks great.Moving the parking garage and the main entries right between the terminals was a good idea.

cmdp: Well i guess this wasn't really easy to guess. The area is still in a pretty raw state.

It's supposef to be the area at and around the croatian church in Hell's Kitchen.

I am still not really happy with how the tunnels and ramps look like compared to the original.

Any ideas to improve the overall look would be nice.

Too bad that there aren't any curved and bend decorative tunnel entrances...

@Moerp: Wow! I think you could go a tad easier on the embankments surrounding these bridge ramps - the slopes should be soft enough to support themselves, at least at the lower parts. Great mix of straight, angled and totally anti-grid, though! I like it a lot. :)

@panerai1: That's one helluve map if I've ever seen one, impressive work! :golly:

No further comments are needed. :P

@panerai1: That's one helluve map if I've ever seen one, impressive work! :golly:

Appreciate your comments.

However, to be fair this isn't my "work"; all I did was take parts from maps that others have made; they're the ones who did the real work. The only work I did was to reconcile edges. There's very little in the way of hand terraforming.

@TPB:  If you'd be interested in downloading that map I'd put it on the STEX for you no problem, but given that this map isn't technically mine I don't know if doing so would be permissible.

Would I first need to get permission from the original map creators?

There's parts from about 10-12 maps in total, maybe more actually, and I'm not sure I could even remember each map I used. I'd hate to risk getting banned from here; all of you guys do way too much awesome "real" work and I'd miss being able to see it.

You wouldn't necessarily need to, since most map work is taken from satellite imagery and compilations from resources websites. A few people do terraform by hand, but a lot of the work is done through a little photoshop manipulation (to remove cities from satmaps) and extracting satellite imagery from resource sites like USGS. Others might stitch maps together (like you did), so you should be alright with releasing the map.

I mean, it's a beautiful map, and it hardly matches any maps I've ever seen. A lot of good places to build a large city and that harbor definitely looks like a nice place to startup. It'd be a shame if we couldn't use it ourselves :P

@panerai1 That map is INSANE!!! How big is it? I agree with Huston, I don't think it would be necessary but shout outs would probably be a nice touch. @Abrams124 That looks very nice and where did you get that uniquely odd shaped reddish brown skyscraper in the bottom right side??

I like complex infrastructural layout. The construction projects help car owners gain easy access to many areas in the city.

The main structure actually :P There are balconies there though as well.

I continue to piece together a small scene, now with the addition of this still a WIP condo complex.

That map is 17x16, all big city tiles.

I'll do some clean up, figure out the credits and get it on the STEX for you and TPB. I'll try to get it on there as quick as I can.

Got bored so I thought I'd share this :P

Almost hate to say it but I hope you get bored more often. Your skills are amazing.

Kostoly a synagógy? Churches and synagogues?  (at least the sacral building with the two small towers looks a bit like a shrunk version of Plzen's synagogue)

O tej v plzni som tiez uvazoval (mal som malo fotomaterialu, plus je to ceska stavba) ale nakoniec som si vybral tuto.
