  1. Humboldt Map

Those are some very nice comments. Glad you like the map and I hope you'll have a chance to share what you create with it. )
  2. Show us What you're Working On

Everything you do is fantastic. Seriously.
  3. Hudsonia

    Really nice map. Great job.
  4. Humboldt Map

Seems possible. One of the more popular maps out there is the "Ring of Fire". It's quite a bit larger than this one as I recall and many people are doing really great things with it.

Everything in this thread is awesome. feyss: That's a really beautiful photo. I'm curious, do you get any graphics glitches at wider zooms with the RVT tunnel mod?
  6. Show us your Region!

Hey SimEMS38, nice to see what you're doing with that map so far. I like seeing it rendered differently. What terrain mod are you using? Is it Pyrenean? Looks good man, especially in that last pic. Cascadia TC is looking good too; it seems to be the one that works best for me as well. Thanks for posting those pics. I'm really looking forward to seeing what you continue to come up with.

kingofsimcity said: Man picking good overlays and base textures are difficult. Playing around with some more Ill Tonkso goodies. - - - - Well I hope you keep "playing around". I think you have a real eye for placement and design, and I dig what you're doing. I've been playing around with new base textures myself and am starting to assemble quite a few. If it's of any interest to you I'd gladly share with you what I have, and any others I come up with. I've been making both low def and high def versions.
  8. Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems you may have misunderstood my meaning. Just so we're clear, I have nothing but total respect for the NAM team and am very appreciative of the work they've done. And my apologies for posting this in the wrong section.
  9. Regarding the textures, yeah definitely could be. I don't know what I'm doing in photoshop. I was thinking maybe I went too heavy on contrast or something like that. RHW, on the other hand, was made by sc4 heros. : )
  10. Do you get windowed mode or full screen? The game plays in windowed mode with that setting string but yeah I see the mistake in that. What in the world was I thinking. I removed the "-f" with no changes evident. Thank you for noticing that. And since I'm at it again here is another pic of RHW, this time at Z4: ... more dashed lines.
  11. Not my area of expertise so I'll just try to do my best to explain. While doing some testing I noticed a couple of display issues: 1) The white lines on RHW don't display well at higher views (Z1 and Z2?) 2) Certain HD textures (i.e., sidewalks and fillers) where the grout lines appear "dashed" So many of you post such beautiful photos that don't seem to have these issues, in particular RHW. I've been reading all I can find on the matter of graphics settings etc. and so far nothing has helped. Maybe these two photos can illustrate: RHW: Textures (a mix of HD and LD): Would appreciate any thoughts. - - - Game settings: -w -CustomResolution:enabled -r1440x900x32 -f -CPUCount:1 -intro:off Hardware rendering 32-bit Computer specs (yeah I know not the best): Processor Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 2.26 GHz Ram 4GB Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit Video Card Nvidia GeForce 9600M GS Video Driver v310.90 (all options set to "off" or determined by sc4) Hard Drive 320GB Virtual Memory: 3433 mb
  12. ITS Office Parks - Ill Tonkso Plaza

I like what you've been doing. I think these look great and I hope you continue making other similar projects.
  13. Since reading your posts at SimPeg I've really been looking forward to this.   Big thanks both for the work you did and for sharing it.
  14. Just in case it will be helpful to someone else in the future... The problem is now "solved" and was definitely plugin-related. Using a virtually empty Plugins folder with NAM and DBE, I was able to repair the bridge, save and exit the game. Then I reinstalled my normal full Plugins folder, re-entered the same city tile and all remained well. So, I don't know which plugin(s) caused the problem, but at least the above is a workable and fairly painless solution.
  15. Good thought. Yes I did reread it today. The only dependencies listed in there that I can see is the NAM/RHW, which I have. The toggler thing is optional. The last time I used DBE it worked fine, no issues whatsoever.
