Released: Delftsche Studenten Bond

The Delftsche Studenten Bond (DSB) is a student association in Delft, in the Dutch province of South Holland.

The association was founded on October 30, 1897.

While everyone here is spamming boats, airplanes, spaceports or British buildings I've gone for a land-based entry.

These pictures are from the reworked south-western part of Cindersville, the final area to complete.

 

1.

I had to upgrade the rock work of previous areas.

 

2.

I had to finish off the northern slopes of the mountain dominating the south-western corner of Cindersville.

 

3.

The mountain in question. This has seen before but I've added a lot more scree slopes and broaded the mountain's rocky, boulder-like top.

 

4.

I also had to finish off the forest work and rock work on the eastern slopes.

 

5.

It took about three passes (one-hour sessions) to get the scree, rocks and paths looking alright.

 

6.

And a mosaic- because why not?

With all that said everything will be ready in a week's time and, at the end of this month, I'll be at last ready to post entries from a completed Cindersville.

It only took two years and a half!

Now that is some seriously good terrain work.     

I thought my style was a bit "tedious", but three hours on one slope is way beyond the pale!

And @WolfZe is bang on !  That one slope almost gives you vertigo !!

Thank you Jack! You know i'm an awful Lotter, This is just a prop but i can release it with transparent base. I thought you probably more expect a missile Version, That would be developed after @CorinaMarie's great work.

FROM YAMPIN TO ZAMACENTIA

 

 

The Sapphire Ridge Railway starts in the junction with the Yampin Scenic Railway, hugging the canyon wall of the Yampin River:

 

 

After crossing the scenic areas in Yampin, the Sapphire Ridge Railway descends to slash across the water of Lake Sapphire:

 

 

...to then leap across steep valleys and gorges with the aid of viaducts:

 

 

In the town of Manacor, the Sapphire Ridge Railway squeezes between Lake Gold and the steep slope of the Manacor Ridge, entering at a close distance from a picturesque waterfall while providing a nearby transit access to the town of Manacor:

 

 

The railway approaches the city of Zamacentia, cutting across the farm fields in an otherwise steep and rolling countryside:

Probably a bad time to be releasing plugins as long as Mattb325 and WolfZe are busy doing it, but nevertheless.

I go over the same area several times with different varieties of gravel, rocks and scree. It's the only way to make sure the rock MMPs don't stand out like a sore thumb on rocky and/or barren terrain textures.

I go all around the top-half of the mountain. First pass is marking the areas which will contain scree slopes, boulder fields and rocky terrain, I either add these little stone clusters from the VIP MMP Pack (which takes a while) or throw in some large Heblem gravel. Second pass is adding Murimk boulder rocks (but the ones which don't add shadows), nbvc's stones and the smaller version of Heblem gravel. Third pass is checking over the entire area to throw in a bit more of everything, and some browner gravel in places, to create a rocky layer comprised entirely of MMPs and obscuring the underlying terrain textures but blending in with the rock faces and cliff textures beneath/above it.

Kimitsu Port Area. It is a port area located in the Saitama Bay, located between the city center and the Saitama International Airport. Due to the saturation of land, the port is growing out of the sea, on a series of artificial islands.

I will try to create a new update as soon as I can and there I will show and explain more things about this place.
