Hi all. I'm fond of this building I made but I'm having a recurring issue with diagonal builds. I'm very careful not to overlap the boundaries but somehow all of my WTW models have graphical clipping issues. What causes this issue? How might I be able to solve this?

I can provide more info as needed. This issue is one of my last barriers to releasing this item and many more!

Wow! Those diagonal brownstones look- HOT!

Good textures by the way, a kind of smudgy feel for the roofs which is nice.

lotting perhaps a bit rudimentary but less dependencies i guess. Anyhow would be grateful for suggestions.

Looks good as is, slightly low-rent look of neighbourhood should kinda have a basic looking backyard anyway. Does the underground parking on the left side of the lot actually connect to roads? Scratch that question, just noticed it's too small to link up.

Would shrinking the length of the brown garage on the left and expanding the underground ramp to street width be possible?

Agree with @Whte_rbt, this is looking really good, and it's always nice to have a mix of wealth options for civic buildings.

As far as suggestions, two fairly small notes:

1) The contrast between the windows and the walls on the long cream/beige building. The contrast between the dark windows and light walls makes it hard to see the details of the windows themselves, which causes them to look flat and creates a bit of a 2D effect (at least, to my eyes).

2) The ground floor of the gray building looks a little short to my eyes. Usually, these types of buildings have a noticeably taller ground floor compared to the upper floors. For example, apartment levels might be 9 to 12 feet tall, whereas the ground floor is often 18 to 24 feet tall.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. Thinking about batting a new ramp and scrapping the sheds.

@BartonThinks I'm working on that the ground floors are 4m. I agree that the grey building is a bit small, perhaps I will increase that to 5m. The windows I might change the textures or increase the shine through ( forgot the word)

Anyhow thanks for the suggestions.

The Marcus Clark building is now in game. Originally built as a high end department store, but it now serves as a TAFE (adult education).

In game it will be both a CS$$$ and a College.

It has an unusual illuminated glass orb on top of the tower. Oddly enough, just 500m down the road, two other well known buildings (the old Grace Bros. Broadway department stores) also have large illuminated orbs. I guess it was the 1900's version of who's got the biggest 'balls' permanently on display in Sydney....

Gorgeous. Amazing how quickly this one came together.

I'm also slowly adding lights to intersection pieces, but there are so many of these.

Those are great diag/FA wall pieces, do you remember where they're from?

Also, I didn't abandon the formstone rows, I'm just sorting out LOD issues with the angled files. Once I get them squared away I can compile a release. All the models are ready to go.

Thanks! I pivoted towards this style for the moment because the new law buildings are easier to measure out than the old style that we had discussed lol. more in the works

Those are @kingofsimcity's IRM FA fillers.

I'm working on a similiar set, thanks to KOSC, who provided his GOFSH repository to play with. Also recently I just re-discovered Paeng's grunge concrete set, which will be also included... well if I manage to find once time for those projects :D :D ... Anyway.

By the way your recent projects with thos w2w rows and specially the diagonal additions are so mcuh needed. I hope you figuring out those LOD issues because I would love to see more and more diagonal buildings!
