About that lowering the sea level topic: Doesn't the setsealevel cheat remove all bridges and tunnels from your cities?

Edit: Yes, it does, I should read posts more carefully.

Since I don't trust it, I usually use a safe way of doing this (although you need to do this outside the game itself): Open your terrain mod with Reader and set the SeaLevel property to 0. Altering this property will effectively lower/raise the water level in all your cities the next time you enter them (Maxis default = 250). When going back to the game, it is recommended to only work on cities that you've paused before, to prevent messing up ferry routes. As soon as you want your sea to be back, just revert the settings.

You can use this method to place seawalls or anything else that usually cannot be placed in water. Or, by raising the water level, you can drag bridges at places where you couldn't drag them before, such as bridges on land.

Yo, guys --

Off-topic again -- sorry -- but my "little gray cells" are showing their age again.

Right now, I have ships scattered throughout almost every drop-down menu in the game.  I am trying to get all of them to show up in the "Water / Transit Menu".

Opening a ship lot in READER -- I find "0xF0C045DF" showing as the "Item Icon".  Does that designate this lot to show up in the "Water / Transit Menu" ?  In which case you could change the "Item Icon" property in any ship lot that shows up in a different menu -- yes ??

And the "Item Order" property determines the ranking of the item in that menu -- yes ??  So -- "0xFFFFFF03" would place a lot very close to the beginning of the menu -- yes ??

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !

Hey @Dreadnought, When you edit Item Order, check the radio button to change the value to decimal. Then enter in a high negative value to get it nearer the top of the menu; i.e. - 15000.

To get items into the Water Transit menu, you'll need to edit the "Occupant Groups" value. In the right pane, look for the occupant groups property. Currently mine says Building, Civic; Building Park (or in hex 0x00001005,0x00001006) ie it appears in the Parks menu. Remove the second one (click on it, then click Remove). Change the first one to 0x00001519 (the occupant group for water transit). Apply the changes, reindex the lot config (from the menu) and save. You're done!

@Dreadnought All the problems with objects in my SC4 menu I solve using the Great Tool named SC4Tool

There's no need to break your head with any 0x00001519. You just choose what you need in plain human language. You can put your lot of parks on the sea port menu or in medicine or in libraries!!!

Good luck! *:thumb:

Sugalashka region 02 !

Some more terraforming, completing this region. Sugalashka Island a several satelite islands some mayor and minor. SimCity vanila gameplay may take place afther I maid a backup. Maxis terraforming; unusual high mountains, tile size dimension not of great use, mayor mode last refinement !

VCOfooH.jpg

Hapy for now with the result. Satelite maps ready maid or redefined or adjusted offer a fast library of options without effort but maybe a smaller region be aswell satisfying aswell. For now this will be a non permanent featured regiion in  sharing insight !

Enjoy !
