Dear Goldman Sachs, I used the second one on my published Lots but with 136% of Z axis, That bus stop showed above was oversized since I forgot to resize it but with a free size. *:DI will be careful to rescale them to make it look realistic when i release. I appreciate your helpful tips, Actually, I want to consult you about how to optimize the amount of polygons when I model True3d vehicle someday, Thank you!:}

Next up after Bobbo662's retro Safeway* was his Albertson's store... yet, somehow something looked a bit off to me. I ended up scaling it down to 80% size using cogeo's SC4 Model Tweaker and adjusting the textures slightly in an attempt to ensure that it wouldn't stand out between Maxis buildings and blend in as seamlessly as possible (which is why I could never share it). The result looked like this, and I'm pretty satisfied with it:

Why, oh WHY Not share ????? (rant, rant)

Come and visit. We got home made cookies. http://community.simtropolis.com/journals/journal/5386-pr-crastinas-travels-sc4/

By the way, we also have cookies at Tariely's Little Shop of Relots (and Lots)

It's because T Wrecks (who it's good to see around these parts again), has shrunk the model using the excellent Model Tweaker, and if his LOT referenced the original model, as per standard protocol, it would be oversized. The only way to do this (legally) would be for the end user to manually make the adjustments themselves (hint, hint *;)).

Yo, guys --

Perhaps, a bit off-topic, but......

Is there a tutorial that explains the tricks of the trade when working with the STR in NAM 32 ??  (Don't laugh -- some of us never advanced into the age of giant, convoluted highways).

I'm getting myself prepped-up to go to work on a city tile that  will involve a massive amount of intricate rail networks, and I figure it will only work if I can break the main lines down into single spur tracks.

Barring any tutorial -- are there any particular tricks to working with the stuff ??

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !

NAM 32 Tutorial ! Much hasn´t changed since introduction. This videeo shows NAM 32 all networks with some samples of STR. You have under STR starter pieces wich can be drag with normal rail and some fixed pieces, this differs from other networks wich have dragable or fixed pieces in a seperate menu. Hope this help !

Sincerley yours,

Kschmidt

You are an inspiration to all of us, debussyman.

We expected a lot for this model. I believe it will be the best model ever made in SimCity 4. Thank you very much, debussyman, and please finish it.

It would be a very interesting building to make. I'll consider it for the future. Righ now I want to focus on finishing all the projects I have already started and been in stand by for a decade or so.

By the way, If anyone is interested in BATing the Glass Pyramid in the Louvre court yard I'd be very grateful. Glass and steel are not my forte.

You could try to ask your teammate CAL over at SC4D, I'm sure he's quite alright with glass structures.

Yo, guys --

HELP !

I'm knee-deep in my city and decided I need a rail connection to another city.

UNFORTUNATELY -- there is a terrain height adjustment required to lay the rails.  I went into terraform on the Mayor Mode to pull up the tools -- but when I select any of the raise/lower/level buttons -- none of the good stuff comes up!

I'm supposed to see a selection of different tools that offer shallow valleys, mountains, smoothing, etc, etc -- right?

It's been about 5 years since I created a new map tile from scratch and I think I forgot how to access those tools.

Any ideas how to refresh my rickety memory ??

Only problem I would forsee is if the Louvre pyramid was done in Bat4Max with MR materials as it might look funny along Scanline. Good to have you back :)

You need the God Mode tools. I forget if it's on Simtrop or SC4 but it's an easy install.

These tools only show up in God mode, and most of them aren't accessible anymore by default after founding a city.

There's a cheat to get access to God-mode tools, however. Just left-click on the God-mode icon while simultaneously pressing CTRL, ALT, and SHIFT, and all God-mode tool should be temporarily unlocked until you go to Mayor mode next time. You can repeat it.

@Raymond7cn, this hologram still looks cool, good job. I'm sure you'll eventually do it as you have it in your mind, so keep up the good work *:thumb:

And yes, this style is indeed cyberpunk :)

@nycsc4: Congratulations, oldtimer! *:thumb: (I should talk, eh?) Seriously, 15 years in an online community, that's a lot. Here's to the next 15 years and many more awesome city shots!

@Raymond7cn: You really make pretty amazing and unique stuff! I'm not sure if I'll ever use any of it because I go for a different style, but it's good to have these futuristic options for the people who like to play that way - no wonder Terring, for example, is so happy. *:) Regardless of personal taste and preference, though, it's always fascinating to see your progress!

Dear T Wrecks,

Please allow me to babble again, When I first came to simtropolis months ago, Your great works shocked me, I really wanted to consult you something at that time but unfortunately you were offline a while, Nevertheless, I'm glad that you are back now, and I do memoried your words since I was deeply touched by them.

I'd like to dedicate this upload to the SimCity community as a whole. We all have been learning from one another, inspiring each other, and helping each other out for almost 15 years now. Whatever we do now benefits from stuff other people have done before us. We are really standing on the shoulders of giants.

It's just those words encouraged me to learn though I was a quite newbie, and it's just as you said that simtropolis has countless great and kind and helpful and brainiac people, I'm so honor to meet you and learn from you. Without you I couldn't enjoy so much joys of this unbelievable game, Thank you.:}

Frankly, I'm a nature lover, I like classical buildings and farm. But I was inspired by @Terring to made some futurist Lots and also it's one way could expand my poor feeling of art, Isn't Terring a powerful Superman!*

Yours Sincerely,

-- Raymond
