I've resumed work on Cindersville and I've been busy finishing off the north-eastern part of the city tile. Mattb325's recent new buildings have come in handy!

The London W2W pack is a great add-on! Same with the Parking Garage too- very 21st century.

Oh, VERY nice ! feels very organic -- using Mattb's building does that to any city... ;-)

Wow it's looking really good and it's always impressive how fast you can do your models. Also adapting the lot was a good idea, looks really good.

Regarding Suico, he's very respected in the community and everyone recognizes his works were awesome considering they were made like 15 years ago, but everything evolves for the better. Today with all the tools that we use and that didn't exist at that time it's natural that we can improve the models. I can't guess what he would do, but if we had the good fortune that he would still be among us I wouldn't doubt that he himself would rework his old works because, well, today we have the means to do it. Anyway, I don't see problems either.

BTW I have to download some trillions of BATs, I don't play SC4 for like 5 months D:

shouldnt u just ask suico b4 using his model? I have the original and it is pretty good, dont see why we need another *:???:

Why would he? Matt is not using Suico's model, he's making a completely new version based on the real life building. *;)

Suico himself made a version of a building based on the same real life building.

Plus BAT quality greatly improved since 2005, we now have very high detail buildings with excellent textures and realistic nightlights. Well in the end it's an opinion.

If I had the talent, the patient and all the resources, I would remake a bunch of old models with todays high quality standards. For example we have a bunch of old industrial props from Jestarr and others, but now we have even nicer, newer, HD quality industrial props thanks to @Simmer2 and we have beautiful HD quality cars thanks to @Girafe and the @VIP Team, or @pclark06 or @AndisArt, beautiful railcars thanks to @SimCityFreak666, @blanco_05, @Angry Mozart not to mention the new cabs and trailers and camions from him and from @MushyMushy. So yepp just because we have some stuffs from 10-15 years, the game has evolved and we have even nicer stuffs now.
I don't know Suico's version, but I can see, that @mattb325's version is fantastic. We have a bunch of parisian buildings from Porkissimo and Xannepan, and if I had the capacity I would make a bunch of new stuffs from those models (thanks to Xannepan who shared his 3D raw models), as @gutterclub gave some of them a nice touch in one of his releases.

Don't think so, many famous buildings have been modelled more than once for the game, just because they are famous enough to pique the interest of talented BATters even if a version is available. Also, Suico did a great effort with very limited tools, and many years after that, we are long overdue for an improvement on what could be done. Lastly, Matt indeed included some extra elements that don't exist either on the original building nor the version Suico did, so that's some added value we wouldn't get otherwise. IMHO, I'm all in for more versions of everything, and more buildings (but maybe I'm also a little bit addicted to installing plugins :boggle: )

I've never seen a diagonal dam before! However you may want to tidy up the jagged textures on the roadway at the dam's top. You can using SFBT's diagonal fillers and using the manufacturing half grass / half IM concrete to create a smooth transition between the dam and the road.

The "rubiky" building is Mattb325's St Mephitz Tophel. A great building but very hard to place right.

@The British Sausage You modified the terrain mod, right?

Nope! I wouldn't know how to either.

The Sudden Valley terrain mod comes alive at higher elevations and upon slopes.

The dirt textures which appear are my personal favourite.
