Sydney is a little different...

Beautiful pictures. Very organic and organized Downtown.

Experimenting a little with lighting ... because the reporters at the Old City Times only stop when the news stops.  Or if they're hungry, or tired, or on vacation, or the kid has a piano recital.... but enough are there at night to make some light.

It looks like this will become a bit of a project in between new bats. :P

Thanks for the comments. *:) To answer some questions...

@Flann, these are just lots, so they won't conform to a sidewalk mod unless your mod includes lot texture over-rides. However, if you (or anyone else) want to make one street tile texture and one roundabout texture, please send those to me and I'll use it on the uploads: I've made textures in the past and I absolutely despise doing it...(I don't even know my partial bsc range anymore)

@The British Sausage, this set will be stage one which will be more than enough to start people off, and I am hoping to make a few more lot sizes which should hopefully include TE diagonals

@BartonThinks, I am hoping to put the cottages ornee to use which should include the weirder lot sizes that @Ramona Brie mentioned

Stage 1 will concentrate on 5x8 lots.

They'll be broken up into different Tilesets.

The ones using my homes will be on the Houston/NY Tilesets.

I've also included the British suburban cul-de-sacs. 60% of the UK is semi detached suburbia on cul-de-sacs. So Gascookers homes will be on the Euro Tileset.

Hackberry Rise:

Chestnut Grove:

And, I've another lot to my set of homes.

Hickory Close:

That necessitated making the Hotondo model diagonal:

BTNJ50L.jpg

So in anticipation, I've released the diagonal version of the Hotondo House

I've got another one to render on the diagonal for my sets, and then I'll do a set with CPs homes (which will be on the Chicago Tileset)

That way, a player can zone 5x8, select the tileset and control whole streets and uniform suburb variety with very little effort...more to come soon....

This really is a damn good project. It gives the development of suburbs or low-density areas a whole new dimension. I love it! *:thumb:

nice big set of projects - didn't realized how huge the ryungyong hotel is :ohyes: also i must inform you that someone already made the house of soviets in Kaliningrad, as well as the nagakin capsule hotel (it was even made several times I think - I linked what I believe is the best version though).

I am quite interested in a few of those: the Tokyo Big Sight and the two arena like building (I think the left one is in Japan) in front of the Nagakin Capsule Tower. I've wanted to model the big sight myself but since you already have a model I will pass on it. *:P

Can comfirm as a British person that you totally nailed the cul-de-sac, or grove, or drive, or end.

Nicely done!

cp made interchangeable sets of textures for a variety of sidewalk mods. This is the entry for the vanilla sidewalks, in the description is an overview of all options. Could be interesting for this project.

I have made some transition textures with water drainage for Tram In Street. What do you guys think about transition and the color of drainage?

This remembers me a lot of the work Noachlem has been doing in SC4Devotion. Maybe you can find some inspiration there, or even contact him there (he logged in last time this sunday).
