It is possible to achieve those lighting effects (especially using those tutorials I linked over on SC4Devotion) and while Gmax has its limitations, there have been some incredible SC4 buildings made with it over the years which include lovely nightlighting and textures.

In the last days, I had to wipe out a city and I'm now redeveloping it. Along with laying out the infrastructure (took me several days), I also made this little freightyard, complete with cranes, truck stop, side tracks, and central building.

@Barroco Hispano: that looks awesome! and if you have props send them my way for sure! I'm moving quickly on this and have a bunch already for this project. It's actually based on some Farming Simulator prefabs. I want to do a Massey-Ferguson dealer and a Claas dealer as well eventually. Maybe Kuhn too. I'd like to fill the farming equipment dealership genre out a little more beyond the SG stuff. Some Claas equipment might be good for props actually...

Speaking of that port structure you built, I know it's obviously a third-world setting but I can see myself plopping in something like that in areas of industrial decay in the developed world. Whatever it's backstory it looks GOOD and I plan to use it, perhaps in my New York creation if there's room.

A lot of Louisiana fishing camps looked like this, even before Katrina. I could see this along the shore of the Mississippi mouth, in the industrial canal lanes.

I believe @matias93 requested araucarias some time ago, I don't know if he ever convinced someone to make them.

Some time ago I was sent some concept art for SC2013 and I said I would make it. Unfortunately I can't find the PM and apologise to whoever sent it to me that it took so long (as it was a very simple building, but just fell off my radar).
