Got a few pics for you.

Usually, when I'm working on the infrastructure, I leave the landscaping until last.  Unfortunately, sometimes these projects can run together -- which produces vast areas with no landscaping.  I have spent weeks trying to go back and fill in the vegetation -- occasionally banging my head against the wall to maintain clarity of thought. 

I was working my way along the river system when I came to what I named Rhinenbach Island. 

It was just going to be an uninhabited island, when I realized it was so big that it cried out for some sort of use.  I hit on the idea of a recreational park.  I decided to connect it to the mainland with a small marina -- then decided to add one of the pedestrian bridges by @rsc204 as well.  Then I decided it needed a corresponding marina on the mainland -- and what's a marina without a terrace and a pub/cafe ??  Then I decided to add two hotels on the south side of the river to cater to the airport.  And then it looked like it could use a river-walk between the hotels -- and -- yadda, yadda, yadda. 

Needless to say, the landscaping project turned into a major construction project.

THE ISLAND

 

THE EAST END OF THE ISLAND...with boat docks, ped bridge, a keepers cottage, a B&B, park administration building with ground floor pub / cafe, soccer field, food kiosk, plaza with restrooms, and a small grassy area for the "park effect".

 

 

THE WEST END OF THE ISLAND...a bit more rugged, but with excellent views from the old Gardos Tower.

So, @Tyberius06, great minds thinking alike , I too used some of WMP fine creations for relotting diggis ponds. A country version and an urban one. Here is what can be done with the country version (it's still rough ; I should have put paths in there. But I wanted to see how it turned out, after all those travails. This is version 2, I had to scrape the first one entirely ! The ketch at anchor is of course for bigger lakes...)

Needless to say, the model is amazing! It's also good to hear there will be both an SD and an HD option.

It's a pity that much of the detail on the topmost section is lost from a bit further away. However, I think the black sections are very dark and very saturated anyway. I think you'd get away with brightening and desaturing these parts somehwat, which might have the additional benefit of making all that wonderful detail work better visible.

I'd like to throw in Media Player Classic. It's also free software, pretty powerful and a rather sleek and useful piece of software IMO - looks a bit like the old Windows Media Player, but plays practically everything.

I haven't any problems with it, but SC4 Archiv Folder by MoonLight (ML)  weighs about 186 MB and I copy it about  40 minutes with my Internet speed about 70-120 Kb/sec.

I had this earlier  - all from ML -  just now I' m like to see ML objects !!!

OneDrive is a Microsoft site, it's very picky about the browser used to access it. Try it with Internet Explorer or Edge and you should be fine, Firefox should work too. But I know Opera won't, despite having the same codebase as Firefox/Chrome, MS block it.

I work with OneDrive by Opera. I haven't any problems till today. All my pictures for Simtropolis are here...  

My old lady (Windows XP3) can't work with the new versions from Internet Explorers, but it works with all the other (Opera, Firefox and etc.) great... 

I tried Millenium and Vista and Win7 and Win8 and Win 10 ... But Win XP3 is the best option for me ...

That's right @Silur! If you using Windows XP with OneDrive, just only one! Open any browsers (Firefox, Internet Explorer etc) and visit the website. How you to do is drag any file from your PC into browser window OR from browser window into your PC.

Hot off the press, a sneak peek of a neighbourhood I've been working on.  It's a 60-70% accurate representation of Lauttasaari and Salmisaari in Helsinki.  Some areas have been omitted and compressed to avoid too many diagonals and odd angles, though I've tried to incorporate a few FA and diagonal areas.  To the left is Lauttasaari, a residential district west of central Helsinki.  Most of the housing stock is straight from the socialist era.  Go across the bridges and you have Salmisaari and then central Helsinki in the next tile. Salmisaari was historically an industrial and port area. In real life the power station still exists but offices have been built where the pile of coal is.  I've kept the coal because it was fun to lot and I didn't have the right offices to fill the space.

Just a few more areas to fill in along the shore, finish planting trees & possibly some custom lotting for boat storage around the marina . Progress is slow because I've been doing a lot of detailed MMP work.  Most of the residential lots were grown which is also time consuming!  

I'll post more close-ups and maybe a CJ once I'm done, I promise!

@rsc204 are you also tinkering with glenni's bridges ? a (very) few of them are transit enabled, if I remember right.
