It sure is the Plaza Hotel. Decent rooms are usually closer to $3K per night, but you can often get the basic ones for just under $1K. Bargain, really

I decided to give up on New Camden and try something different.  Not that I didn't like New Camden (although I don't like anything I made), I just had a lot of problems with it.  Most notably, glitches.  Lots and lots of glitches.  Including but not limited to: spaces I can't put anything on, taking forever to load, not saving, not doing anything when I hit save, and more.  Anyway, I decided on something a bit more low-key.  New Camden was more of an US East Coast city.  No matter what I do, every city I build will be like my hometown of Philadelphia in some way.  What I'm working on is smaller, but has some well-built up parts to it.  I call it Maple City.  Here's the densest part of downtown.

On an unrelated note, does anyone have any tips for botanical gardens?  I wanted to build one in this city.

Lets not forget this set I'm also working on.

The base texture will be compatible with @Tyberius06 Heretic port lots therefore they will blend in nicely. I will also analyze the entry/exit point of his rail system (made with my NSB textures) and create a seamless interlock lot as a transition point between his work and mine.

Today I've been testing multiple overlay textures on SC4PIM. I made this square using @kingofsimcity 's SuperSHK parking texture set for the road markings, proving it can be used for many other stuff other than parkings 

I plan to use this in a Latin-American/European themed city soon. Guess I'll give it a more squareish shape, making it wider. What do you all think?

@SC4L0ver : it is a gool-looking plaza but, for a Latin-American one, it looks... kinda drab. It's the iron grey concrete.  Aren't they usually using lighter, sunnier materials over there ? Even in Latin Europe. I recently saw a recently made modern plaza in Dijon (which is not in the South, but an Old City if there ever was one), and although they used the same kind of small path as you, the rest is flagstone (with water effects all over, coming right from the pavement -- a bit dizzying !  )

Got a quick one for you --

When @tariely showed me her re-lot of "Obelisk Place", I knew I had to have that for the monumental entrance to the Kaiser Wilhelm National Denkmal !  The only problem was that I had already laid out the avenues and placed the Denkmal and there only remained 3 tiles depth in front of the monument.  Her lot wouldn't fit !!

Determined to have that plaza, I decided to do a bit of "surgery".  I chopped up the plaza into three modules (modular is ALWAYS better), and rotated the rectangular fountain basins onto their sides.  Other than that -- hardly any changes at all !!    A few filler lots, some park paths, and a bunch of trees -- and -- Presto !!

Here are views of several angles -- and two close detail shots.  Her handy work was just too good to let slip by for the want of two tiles !!

Old Habsburg - Vienna IV

Today little Vienna HBF traffic change ! Start on the Volksgarten and Heldenplatz park area !

Logical it would be right hand traffic would take and drop off passengers at the station side, this initialy was wayaround. Nothing real headache chaning it around yet some station quarter direction to be changed and the direction of the entrance tunnels !

With all those trams a public subway is considerd from the lower tram halt to the station entrance !

Work started on the Volksgarten and Heldenplatz behind the Hofburg !

Little space compromize, the Hofburg and Opera are seen as one; opera dimension a little oversize there´s no real replacement for the Hofburg yet available !

I was inspired by the Zócalo square in Ciudad de México, so I chose a darker shade of grey concrete (anything is better than Maxis White Sidewalk)

Interchange rework continues. These highways operate near the game maximum (65535) in some places, and with the challenging traffic simulator I use, NAM low in a dense city, it's important to keep things flowing.

Highway names for anyone who cares. Broadbay Highway runs north-south, Slayton Highway runs east-west (controlled access part starts west of this interchange)

This is just the first phase of further projects that will add an extra travel lane or two on the mainlines.

All work was able to completed within the existing right of way protected earlier.

It is fiddly as all the sides are quite different; but at least the Grand Army Plaza and Park Ave elevations are almost complete (again, glass textures = placeholders at the moment)

Oh man, this looks great, well represented NZ environment. How many sheep did you plop there?.....lol...... I love NZ, I even built myself a home there on the northern South Island, where I spent most of our cold Canadian februaries.

Been working on the Lions Gate viaduct that runs north to the Trans-Canada Highway.  The residential areas around it have also sprouted up.
