Laying the foundation for the construction of a tunnel over the highway. I would have liked to have openwork side walls so I could see the highway. But the slope of the terrain where the railroad passes doesn't allow for that. Do you think applying a “trompe l'oeil” texture to this side wall could simulate the continuity of the highway?

I'm still experimenting with rural textures. I need to figure out how to tone down the intensity of the colors.

Verifier HQ: File Verifying Info & Discussion
Honolulu replied to Cyclone Boom's topic in The Planning Commission
Hello, I started looking into how the verification process works by starting with SC4 Legacy - KS_JPN Arabian Canal. Everything is correct (image, download, extraction, and content) except for one thing. The link to BSC Cleanitol points to the SC4 Legacy - KS_JPN Arabian Canal page. As a result, I didn't mark the verification as complete. Did I do the right thing? Please ignore this message. I thought I could complete the verification process. I was wrong.- 39 Replies

I'll re-upload my two STEX files and all my screenshots this weekend, but other than that, I don't think there's much else I can do. My plugin only contains dependencies.- 63 Replies

I'm trying to bring to life a project that's been on my mind for quite some time: creating BATs for my walled city. I still have a lot to learn about, but you've got to start somewhere, right?

Hello everyone, I've been thinking for a while now about creating a thread where I could present ideas, projects, etc. Well, here it is. Any suggestions, comments, questions, criticism, etc. from you are welcome. Let's begin. I am currently working on a farm pack. I will present its progress when there is something to show. Today, I would like to present a project to you, if you think it is worth pursuing, for fillers for the SAM3 and SAM 4 curves. Here is a sketch. (Unfortunately, Timed Prop only allows me two seasons.)
-
The five final T21 designs for the 45-degree curves. The first design for the 90-degree curve. And the drafts for the S-curves. I may have gotten a little carried away with the latter.

Some news regarding the SAM3 & SAM4 rural curve fillers- Initial idea A single lot 1x1 with a Prop Family (3 variations of decor) for each type of curve. Advantages: Easy to plop in the game, takes up minimal space in the menu and if the player wishes, it works with all street or road textures. Disadvantages: Very poor prop graphics quality due to the reduction in the size of the FSH (Flora AGC, Giraffe, VIP, etc.), loss of colors when saving the final image. Options: Use collections that have FSHs that do not require scaling (CP, Gascooker, LBT, etc.). Alternative 1 lot TE 3x2 Advantages: Original graphic quality of the prop, therefore the best that exists. Disadvantages: A little more complicated to plop in the game, takes up more space in the menu (one lot for each variation of decor and street texture). My lack of knowledge about TE means I can't judge whether it's a good idea to use it in this case. However, I believe that the transit values for the lot should be set to the highest transit values in the NAM for that lot to be accessible to all types of players. Alternative 2 Abandon the idea of this project. Any advice on how to proceed is welcome.

@Simmer2 I can't decide what impresses me more: the quality of your BATs or the speed at which you produce them. I spent two weeks and went through four boxes of aspirin trying to create a roof with a dormer window and a chimney using Gmax. The end result was... a monstrosity worthy of deletion. To get around my inability to create BATs in Gmax and still be able to create custom BATs, I assemble FSHs from different authors using GIMP and place them in a box.

The WMP accessory pack will definitely help you achieve your goal. It contains buildings with the name Ethanol. By combining these accessories with those from @Simmer2, @jestarr, and other WMP packs (to name a few) and a little bit of work with PIM-X, you can achieve a result very similar to your photos. An example with WMP ethanol BATs mixed with those of the authors mentioned above (don't look too closely. Lot under construction).

May I have an ID range for textures, please? Thank you in advance.

Working on the idea of a pack consisting of farms, probably without IR Fields and mainly dedicated to livestock farming (chickens, sheep, pigs, etc.), while seeking to integrate them as best as possible into the SPAM. I will definitely create a thread where I will ask for your advice and comments. And finally, I would like to create custom textures for these lots using those already published (for example, creating an overlay with a texture from Scoty and the alpha from Cycledogg or use bits of textures from different authors to end up with just one, etc.). Do you think this is ethically correct? Thank you in advance for your responses.

Currently working with IR Fields, Prop Families, and Seasonal/Timed Props. I still need to find the right balance between building Prop Families, Prop Time of Day values, and Prop Random Chance values.

@Kel9509 You're probably right. Since I don't play the simulation very often, I'm not sure how to properly assess the amount of work required. I'll let PIM-X decide for me. I want to create an agricultural lot to better understand IR Field and Prop Family. Before releasing it, I'll ask a few experienced players to test it so I can avoid making the same mistake. Don't be surprised if you receive a PM from me.

Slow construction of my walled city due to limited free time at present. And trying to make my own BATs (so to speak) from existing FSHs placed in boxes does not help its progress at all.
