  2. STEX Issues - Community Report Thread

    This is not really an issue, but I didn't want to start a new thread for this and this one was related. I was wondering if there is some kind of standard or convention for publishing content that I'm not aware of? As much for the naming and the description text as for the content's structure. I think this would deeply help the whole community.

  4. Hi there, it's me, again... Anyone knows how to create the effect (as if taken from an airplane) on the following picture on an in-game screenshot? It seems like it's simply by squeezing it's height (66%?). The picture is @SimCoug's profile current cover photo. I asked him directly, but from his "last visited" I guess I will have a quicker answer here. On the same topic, does anyone know how to easily : Take a "full-city" screenshot at any zoom? Have the side water and cutaway removed? Edit (2022-09-20) : I found this topic related to "full-city" screenshot, more precisely this post.

    Is there any plopable guardrails? I have some for curves from MUTCD US Highway Signs Pack from @Angry Mozart, but I'd like to have pieces as mentioned in this comment. I did a quick search and couldn't find something relevant.

    In the last days I worked on and tweaked my spreadsheet. I now have charts to visualize my populations progression filtered upon various parameters (county, city, tile name and data snapshot date). It supports multi-tile per city and now tile renaming. I used SC4Reader Tool to get the tiles GUID to use as a unique ID. Next improvement step is multi-tile population split (a tile being shared by cities). * I only displayed Evlester county's cities because showing all of them clogs the chart and makes it unreadable.   7. Darn... I thought there would a mod for this (I remember seeing one?). The thing is, I feel like it has much less tolerance than it used to have, as if a mod I have installed had lowered it. I remember having incredibly sloped lots which I can't anymore. I'm not talking about crazy slopes, only ~3m over 2 tiles... This makes all my river sides hard to build and kept clean (as it always tends to redevelop with landscaping).
  8. Hi there. I wondered if there was any way to prevent RCIs from landscaping (ground work / leveling) when they build / grow. Every time I zone on slightly sloped land, I end up with ugly fills / retaining walls. I use "Ctrl" while zoning, but on construction it (sometimes) still landscapes.

    Hi there. A few years back I installed the Industry Quadrupler because I felt like I needed way to much industrial area to satisfy the demand. More recently I installed the Residential Population Halving Mod because I felt like the population density was way to high. The problem is that I now have 1000's of I-Ag jobs for only a few farms which is quite unbalanced IMO. Is there : An industry job multiplier excluding the I-Ag; An I-Ag jobs reducer. Also, now that I'm a few years into playing with the Industry Quadrupler, I feel like it might be a bit too much and not quite right. I found the Proportional Industry Jobs and Industry Doubler (allows to exclude I-Ag) which I wondered if you guys thought were better balanced? Edit : After a few tests, I realised neither the Industry Quadrupler nor the Industry Doubler affect the I-Ag "field" jobs.

    Hi, I installed PEG Power Tower Pylons and it points here for support. I found out the diagonal (only) pylons at zoom 4 are still "candy-stripped". Also, there are two clear shades of gray. I don't know if it's an easy fix for anyone but I'd appreciate it.

    Hey guys, just a little update on my project. When I'm bored of playing my region, I work on paraphernalia. I joined the latest map and some spreadsheet I'm working on. The latest is mostly automatic; I only have to paste the data from Region Census in the "Raw data" sheet for everything else to update. * Please note that counties' name and city/county limits are provisory.     Is there a tool/software that allows to export a city/region's data (everything on the graphs and anything else available) from the save file/s into a table? I currently use Region Census to export the images and the populations data (.csv format) but it doesn't provide any more... KREW - Klyte's Region Exporter as Webpage does it, at least partly, but doesn't (only) provide a table file...     Alright, thanks for the answer! This should have been obvious to me... I took for granted the menus were "FLEX Turnout" and "STR" pieces. Should I thus regard the RAM pieces as deprecated and avoid their use?

    Not quite... This is a job multiplier while what I'm looking for is a mod that displays (through the query tool) the number of jobs a farmland tile provides (apart from the zone's building). Thanks for the answer! Alright! Thank you very much!

    Is there a reason for the "DTR to STR Diagonal Turnout for the RealRailway (RRW)" to be located in the "RealRailway FLEX Turnout pieces" menu instead of the "RAM phase 1 - Single Track Rail" one like the "STR - Dual Track to STR Short Transition (1x3)" is? Because of this, I looked for it for ages... I have NAM44 installed. Sorry if this isn't the right thread for RRW.

    Well thought but misfortunately, they don't seem to be there (at least on my side)... I expected them to be 1x1, but the only one of that size I have is a barn (0x900012e0). Right on! Is there any way to get apple/orange fields?

    Are there any I-AG filler lots? I mean, sometime I have to plop something in the middle of a field and it destroys/leaves an empty tile. I don't want to have to re-develop the whole zone to fill it back.
