SimCity city sizes will “eventually” expand, says Maxis
Forsquilis commented on Hellken's article in News
I have to agree with cirugo that maybe I'll eventually buy it. Even beyond the map size and only-play-on-our-server limitations, though: the reason I still play SC4 is because of all the flexibility and creativity that I get from user-created maps and buildings. I assume that Maxis/EA have no plans to allow that, since they seem to avoid the subject (and I'm sure EA hopes to make $$$ by selling new building "expansions" to players). That just makes SimCity sound boring to me. I'm happy to spend my gaming time continuing to lurk and download at SC4 communities. -
This would be a great building even if it weren't a first effort. For a first, it's awesome. The only criticism I'd make is that the color of the entryway roof seems kind of odd. However, I used to live near some apartments like this and they also had colors that didn't quite go together, so it works. Thanks for making a Maxis night version, I'm looking forward to trying these out!

I've heard about this too--they say there are thousands and thousands of discarded shipping containers in California (and I think if I had financial trouble, I'd rather live in a converted container than under a bridge). I don't think I'll use this in my cities, but it's a great and cutting-edge idea.
