  1. Submenus DLL

Hello guys, I really like the submenu DLL mod I have tried for a bit and it works nicely ingame but there is a problem I can't for the life for me figure out how to create my own submenus. I have tried to figure it out by reading this thread and Seba's submenus thread and the github threads and various others and installed sc4 cli tool and I have iLive but I can't do anything with because I have insufficient knowledge what to do with it. Also is there a thread or a place where there is a proper tutorial on how to create your own submenus because I am not an expert modder and reading threads here I can not figure out myself what to do? There should be a proper step by step tutorial made on how to make your own submenus and how to add lots to it and manage it properly. Because for me I installed it tried it to see how it works ingame, perfect it works! Then I opened the threads etc to figure it how to make my own submenus now for 3 hours I have read everything to try to figure it out and I just can't because the information is all over the place. Also sorry if I sound a bit angry or annoyed here Im just tired and close to giving up this ordeal, I just want 1 guide to make submenus . Also my english may be imperfect here, if there are major errors feel free to let me know. Here are my questions and my understanding currently of what I have read and tried to figure out. So basically what I have figured out is that i can make Submenus with the SC4 cli tool but I can't figure out how to add lots to the submenu. Do I need iLive for that I don't know, that is the biggest issue, how to add lots there. So where do the submenus I create go, I created 1 submenu but where is it? With the submenu icons i understand I can make my own, does the file format matter or not just in case, it needs to be 44x44 right? Also I understand I need ilive to edit or make lots in my mod folder submenu compatible so how does it work. I have seen that SC4pac is mentioned here too, is there a list of Submenu compatible plugins and there are now downloadable Submenus that can be installed which is great, is there a list which shows which plugins are compatible and submenus which support them? Here are a lot of questions I know, but I just want to get clear answers to a lot of questions and to make sure I get everything so I could make submenus too. If I can finally my plan would be to make IRM lot submenus for my own use first and then If I get it working properly make IRM lots submenu pack so that using IRM would be easier with it. The submenu mod is great but it has been a year since the inception of the mod and a lot of progress but a bit chaotic trying to understand the mod fully for a newcomer. Please there should be a ultimate guide to submenus made that details all of the intricacies of it.
  2. poll SC4 Building Styles Community Vote

Plan B is no styles at all the mod gets sent to the shadow realm and will never return.
  3. Show us What you're Working On

Working on a new handmade region (made with in-game terraforming tools), Wordenton Coast 8x8 large tile region, I made this a few years ago for fun then did not touch it until now, the upper left side is pretty much complete now to do the lower side and then the mainland region and figure out what to put there. The blank areas are just untouched tiles. Any feedback and ideas appreciated.
  4. Show us your Camera Angles

Some interesting angles and composite pictures I have had done in the past few months. This here is a full 45 degree angle but a long vertical angle to show the suburbs transition into the big high rise downtown, and the avenue leading to it. Tested 15 degree angle and it looked pretty interesting and in 4K high res. This is the one with a huge Downtown 4 Diagonal Highway Bridges, but slightly tilted to 42 and also in 4K high res.
  5. Show us your Riverside, Lakeside, or Oceanside

Elderton Downtown and it's great historic marina, of course new development has taken over. Also walkable Pedmalls in the upper area, don't mind the stadium and the huge pavement parking.
  6. Show us your Farm Land!

This is Forlandas Valley, small little town. Managed to use 3 Diagonal bridges here, highway road and rail too. I like to use fractional roads whenever I can, one of my favorite parts of NAM, also fractional rail is great too.
  7. Show us your Farm Land!

Farston Valley 6904x4339px massive farmland image between the cities, original png was 80mb but I had to reduce resolution and size to post it, also this is a megacomposite of 4 tiles put together, you can spot the border if you look for it, image impossible without the massive cropping and adding images together to create this, takes 100s of hours for this. Edit the image dissappeared for a while for some reason if anyone knows why, you can tell me. It was hosted in imgur but I am not sure why it dissappeared.

Pedriana Farms with industry fits really well.

  10. 20yearsSC4 SC4: 2023 (20th Anniversary)

Happy Bday SimCity 4, this game may be old but still solid gold. Thanks community for keeping this game still fresh and great to play. One of my favorite games because of it. Also if SimCity 4 ever gets a remaster, we need a remaster of the classic most important person in the whole game: Dr Vu. Love or hate him his the most iconic person in the game, the advisors were dull and boring but Doctor Vu with shenanigans stood out and was the best character in the game. He did not hose down the cats, it was Neil Fairbanks. Doctor Vu's likeness remastered by AI: (The watermark stays because I will not pay 30 bucks just for watermark removal.)
  11. San Andreas Part1

This is awesome but no mention of The legend, the OG CJ Carl Johnson from GTA: San Andreas, if you continue this then at least add an easter egg.
  12. San Francisco (Maxis) Complete Region - Large Tiles

Nice job but I actually a while ago made a San Franscisco large tile version where all tiles are large, which is way more convenient. But this is great too I plan to release it soon though... Was inspired by the remake of the old region project so I tried my hand to properly make San Franscisco region fully large tile. Ps I just realized there's a 4x4 version of it here too, it seems my one is obselete.
  13. SimCity 4 YouTubers

I think this guy should be included as well. He's last SC4 and last in general video was 9 years ago but he has one of the most viewed SimCity 4 video on Youtube despite it being 13 years ago. Also his other SC4 videos have quite a lot of views too. And his SC4 content is superb and all of it is vanilla as well. This channel has inspired me very much in creating my SC4 regions. Quite unfortunate he stopped uploading.
  14. SimCity 3000 buildings real-life counterparts

Thank you @Captain Adam, I just found this thread and it is amazing how many buildings you found and put here. Never knew that so much of those buildings were actually real in the world. And I am in awe of these extra beautiful mansions are real, they looked so over the top that I doubted these would be actually real. Thanks again for founding all of those!
  15. Show us What you're Working On

Diagonal Downtowns are totally possible, no problems faced and it's very busy with thousands of car and rail commuters.
  16. Show us What you're Working On

My first massive freight train station is complete. Here might they rest on a 500x1000m2 area. This is my 700K megalopolis, so it seemed right to make this and fits the city very much. A very massive freight station inspired by colossal freight stations I found when looking at google images.
  17. I love vanilla farms & I love SPAM. I switched to SPAM because vanilla farms die off, don't include enough jobs etc. But vanilla farms aesthetically look fantastic. So the problem is I have SPAM but it is SPAM farms and a few vanilla variants too but is there a way to include vanilla farms too? Because they look nice and vanilla farms look great too, and SPAM don't include any apple tree farms? Is there any mod or a way to do something like it?
  18. SPAM & Vanilla farms

Oh I only now realize that these might have been trees, SPAM farms are so detailed up close I could not even notice those were trees. Also I have played for 2 or so years and didn't get it I miss vanilla farms, SPAM tree farms are not on the same level, sad. Also is it any shape or way mod SPAM itself to do something like it?

  21. simtropolis Terrible News: Cori has gone

SimTropolis would not be the same without her going forward. So much has already been said by all of you Community members with these kind responses. Thanks for all @CorinaMarie has done here and CB whom you two which replied to several of my stupid newbie question topics I have made and helped me out all those times! And thanks for all these small mods, like the ''No kickout mod'' which is awesome and many many QoL stuff that has been made possible.
  22. Show us What you're Working On

I've been working on a river city and been integrating rail heavily into this town. Here are some pictures of it. Grand Railway station with business and diagonal rail bridge. Diagonal Y railway junction Small Industrial Railyard and the industry Farston RIver City from above
  23. Future Cities

This is the most insane SC4 content I have ever seen, TOP NOTCH artwork.
  24. Show us your Farm Land!

''What is behind those mountains papa?'' ''A nice small farming community where your cereal comes from.'' So this is a small farmland behind those huge mountains, only accessed by rail and a highway tunnel.
