guessing this will not work for Mac?
  2. TCC Maps by thecitiescenter

Thank you for posting these. Are any of these ever posted with greyscale.jpg and config.bmp? Would love to try some of these regions, but alas, no access to a PC, just Mac.

tbh it took me quite awhile and lots of errors before i figured out out to create regions using BMP and greyscale JPG. here are the quick steps ... 1. while in the game, create a new, blank region, name it, save it and exit the game. 2. on your mac, go to the folder for the new region and place the CONFIG.BMP file there 3. in the folder view where you have your regions and plugins, create a BITMAPS folder and plop the greyscale JPG there, or whatever the region file name is. 4. restart the game, go to the new, blank region, and do CTRL+OPTION+R to show the pop up 5. in the file name section, type this below, exactly as shown, including spaces: /Users/yourcomputername/Library/Containers/com.aspyr.simcity4.appstore/Data/Documents/SimCity 4/Bitmaps/regionname.jpg press ENTER and it should do its thing. note - yourcomputername should be the name of your home folder on Mac note - there is a space in string above between SimCity and 4 ... will not work without the space. hope that helps ... and sorry for long delay in reply

  5. SimCity 4 on Macbook Air M2

I figured it out, and posting in case it helps anyone else ... 1. Set Macbook Air display settings to "More Space" option, which mimics 1710 X 1112 2. When starting game, choose option to run at full screen. 3. WIthin the game, set graphic option to 1280 X 1024. Not sure why, this makes everything work.
  6. SimCity 4 on Macbook Air M2

So switching from iMac to Macbook Air M2. The game controls in the lower left will not work even though I can click on them. Like rotate, or game speed. I can use keyboard commands to do that, but seems beyond irritating. Everything still works fine on iMac (Intel) ... not so much for M2 and the Apple chip. Tried all different graphic settings and selecting "Get Info" option to run both setting options "Scale below built in camera". Also have tried full screen and window options. Seems to always play at full screen regardless. At a loss ...
  7. thanks for posting this. one question i have searched and searched and never figured out how to do ... getting maps from simptropolis to render and work on my iMac. any help or pointer to a guide would be appreciated.

check this out from wikipedia. sorry, but china barely makes the list, other than hong kong, and that shouldn't count for china's accomplishment, but rather the united kingdom. enjoy.
