  1. Can't find it?... Ask here!

Anybody know what this building is:

Both the first and the last picture are of JB SHUR Brownstones. They're of Chicago 3 flats, though unfortunately they appear to be the newer circa-2000s cruddy precast and veneer brick ones rather than the high quality vintage buildings. They're considerably wider than real 3 flats, so I actually plan to use the model tweaker to make them narrower so that 2 will fit on one tile (as we see with Maxis' pastel rowhomes, etc). They show up in this thread, too:
  3. 19th Century Small Shops

    Indispensable for older cities.
  4. 1556 W 13 Avenue

May not be from Los Angeles, but fits perfectly in LA where there are plenty of very similar buildings in this style and site plan typology.
  5. 631 S Cochran Ave

Among the best non-NYC vernacular buildings on this site. This is a well made Los Angeles building.
  6. 7303 Melrose Ave

Among the best non-NYC vernacular buildings on this site. This is a well made Los Angeles commercial building.
  7. Anthony Bikes

The upshot is the growable produces radiation. I changed it with PIM-X and am hoping it solved it.

Thank you very much, gentlemen. I'm not too surprised that the japanese buildings are hard to pinpoint. Some of them look relotted at the very least. I find it so interesting how common italianate buildings like the following are in our older cities, and yet how uncommon they are on the STEX. There are some tall ones from NYC, but virtually none in the 2 to 4 stories range seen on so many older Main Streets.

Got a challenging one. Here's True Earth Tokyo 1915. Anybody know what any of these are, especially the white roofed buildings?
  10. Lot - Resources / Help

Sorry for the double-post. If I make a lot with, say, 7 houses on it, and I want all those houses to be the same but I also want to select which house it will be from a family... can I do this? Is there a tool to mirror/repeat an engine-selected family object?

What incredibly useful things you have made, rsc204! Thank you very much!

Hi guys, The LE is well known for making possible the combination of multiple buildings in to one. Let's imagine I aim to create a stair-stepping terraced roof out of a modular-ish looking building. Any suggestions as to a good fit? The main question: I wish to make these stair-stepping roofs green, with some props on the roofs as well. The props seem easy enough, but does anybody know of a prop that's basically a concrete or grass "platform" used to cover a roof surface? Sort of like a base texture, but meant to hover above the ground so it can be placed over roofs. Thanks!
  13. If I understand correctly then, a building exemplar gives its tileset to any lot that uses it as the main building. Correct?
  14. Noob Question: I want to restrict the tilesets for some but not all of CP's 19th Century houses. CP's work is brilliantly lotted, with multiple models mixed on each lot. What happens if I play on, say, the Chicago tileset, and some but not all of the buildings on a particular lot are allowed on that set? Does it always grow if he used a blank building as the main building, and his models as props? Does it not grow if even one of the buildings as props is not allowed? That can't be right... Does it only not grow if the restricted building exemplar is the one being used as a non-blank main building? Forgive me if I wrote this in a confusing manner... I'm on the current edge of my understanding here. Thank you very much!

I've been trying to muddle through with PIM-X in attempt to find the answer myself, but am still having trouble, so... Does anyone know what folks might use for rear exit wooden stairs? Like in JBSimio's Brownstones: Are those likely props he used, or is it likely he modeled those stairs himself? Thank you very much.
