Hi guys, i recently installed the nam 32... now i am having trouble finding the turning lanes (tuleps?) for simple road crossings, in previous version i could find it rightaway, now i cant, have been through all the options ingame but i cant seem to find it... Did you guys remove it out of the nam?

Hi guys, As some of you know, i've recently made an RHW Resting Place and uploaded it to the stex. Since this was a first draft, i tend to update it with a new version. Or maybe make an modular version out of this... I've searched for some pictures on google for this, but there hardly to be found on there... So my question is, does anyone know a good source/website where i can find such pictures. Maybe someone that is most of the time on the road can snap some photo's? Also would love to hear your ideas, opinions, suggestion for the next version, so i can add it into the version when possible... Due note that i only have lot skills yet and not any much knowledge about batting or how to transit enable them... But im willing to try everything new and upgrade my skills with this... My current plans for the next version are: - Make it transit enabled - regular version or modular version - Adding diagonal parkings - Adding Restrooms, with or without a restaurant If anyone wants to offer their skills in an certain aspect, that would also be appreciated Due note, that i just have accepted a new fulltime job, so it might happen that i sometimes don't have the time to keep working on this project, but i will work on it whenever i got the time to do so... I'm sorry to inform you that i've been too caught up in real life issues, so therefore any progress on this project has been halted until further notice.. So it may take awhile before i can continue on the project... Hmm seems like some textures that i've used are conflicting with other textures that are using the same iid range... I have to look into it when i am picking up this project again when i got the time to do so...

This article is to help you on your way to resolve those nasty crashes with SC4, with or without Rush Hour. The problem can be anything, from a faulty video- or soundcard to lots/BAT's/maps that have been downloaded from the STEX… So let's see if a problem that’s described in this article is useful for you… If you have a problem which is not described here and you’ve tried everything, then you can ask for help in the Bugs & Technical Issues forum. When asking for help, please describe the problem precisely and exactly as you’ve noticed it, give as much details as possible, and, if you can, give (a) screenshot(s). Please don't post too much of you computer specs. Just keep it to the basics, such as: amount of ram installed, which videocard/soundcard you have, what kind of computer (Pentium 4, Macintosh etc.) or Operating System you have. If you post too much unnecessary information we can get confused about it, but you'll get my drift... And please be patient in waiting for an answer. Not everyone can respond to your call in minutes; sometimes it just takes time... If you don't get any answers within a day, just try it again! General Overview 1. SimCity 4 crashed back to desktop, but I hear a strange noise? 2. SimCity 4 just freezes and crashes back to desktop! 3. Try the following options: Try to adjust your sound settings…Check to see if your drivers are up to date. If they are, then rollback the drivers to use your previous drivers. Try to run dxdiag to find any issues regarding DirectX or your soundcard… Always close onboard sound devices including those are not good enough for playing sound/music in games and those that aren’t up-to-date with the latest technology used in games! 2. If you know which lot/BAT/map is making a problem, move them out of your directory where you’ve installed it! It can also be the case when some lots/BAT's/maps are conflicting with each other… If you do not know by which lot/BAT/map is causing the problem, try the following method: Move all your files out of your directory, and Start the game. If this is solving it, then it is in one of those files. Ok, once you’ve now pinpointed in which directory the problem lies, go to the next method: Move half of the total files back into your directory, andStart the game again. If the problem comes back, then you know in which files the problem lies… Keep moving the files out one by one and start the game in between. I know that it’s a long process; but it's one that’s very effective! This way you narrow down your search to find which file(s) is/are causing the problem. 4. Memory issues are crashing my game, but I have a lot of memory installed! It’s great that you have a lot of memory (RAM) installed, but the only thing that keeps it crashing is because you haven’t adjusted your virtual memory file size, also called the page file. Almost everyone knows that SimCity 4 uses lots of memory. To overcome this problem you’ll need to adjust the page file settings. But before we jump to that part, you’ll need to understand how this principle of the memory and the page file works… The page file is a file that’s sits on your hard drive in the Windows directory. Now when your RAM is at full capacity, it needs to empty it. But still an application needs the data, so it empties that data to the page file. However, when your page file is getting at maximum capacity, it tells your application to quit it because it can’t handle anymore data! That’s why you’re getting a crash to desktop: because it’s been terminated by Windows itself! “So, what are we going to do about this?”, you might think. Well we are going to do the following: We just increase the page file so that it can handle 3 times more data than before. This will result in much less crashes or no crashes at all, but I can’t guarantee you that… To increase you virtual memory, you must use the following math: For example: If you got, let’s say, 256 MB of ram installed, you will need to triple that for the minimal use, like this: 256 mb x 3 = 768 mb minimal use! For the maximum value, you’ll need to double the last outcome of the math: 768 x 2 = 1536 mb maximum use! Now you’ve set your page file to handle more data… But please bear in mind that if you want to increase your page file, you must stick to this math. Otherwise if you just increase it with an incorrect value then Windows will crash!!! because Windows will look at both values at the same time! After you’ve just adjusted your page file, you’ll need to do a system restart so that those new values will be recognized. If you get a Windows crash after system reboot, then just enter Windows in Safe Mode and change those values back to the previous values that were used! Also, if you have changed your page file and it didn’t work, try shutting down some processes that are running in the background! You won’t need those when you're playing a game and it will increase the performance of the game more… Just hit “ctrl + alt + delete” once (Not twice! Because that will reboot the computer!!!) and go to the “processes” tab and delete those processes that aren’t listed below! I suggest to not set your cpu priority to high on games and such, because it can destabilize your computer performance, giving perfomance issues like stated above...

you say you installed some grass mods, have you tried to remove them and reload the game to see if the problem still exists after that? Could be possible that a grass mod is causing the conflict...

Simgoober has put all of his files into megapacks some time ago, i think you're missing one of the megapacks that he has reuploaded... Had this issue also awhile back with some of his files. I suggest you download his megapacks and it should fix the problem... I can't tell you which megapacks you'll need but i guess you should look for his dependency packs which refers to his commercial collection... It can also be the case that the duplicated files are making conflicts with eachother, remove the duplicates and try it again....

Yesterday I've found an issue with Nam 31, tried to build a roundabout street but came across this issue, don't know if it has mentioned before so i just mention it just in case, so the NAM-team can take a look into it and build a fix for it while their still busy with it...

A New Hope Simpson was sufing his way on the ocean, He had so much fun in surfing that he lost track of where he was and were he went. He kept surfing all the way and he even didn't knew where he was going. Suddenly he came across a new kind of land. A land he never seen before. He decided to go ashore, and check out the surroundings. He soon realised he had surfed to a whole new land. A land he never came across. He didn't know what to do at first hand. So he just made a campfire on the shore where he had landed. Simpson thought he would get back but soon he realised he had surfed more than 10 miles before he came across this new land and he thought that surfing the whole way back would be undoable, cause he was exhausted from the first trip. So he made a campfire, thinking he would rest here for the time being and maybe get back to his previous land when he was rested enough... He was pretty lonely on this new land, that it kinda scared him to get worried. "Where the hell am i?", "What will i do to get back", those were the questions that were reason upon him... "I've surfed more than 10 miles to get here", "how the hell am i going to get back?" was he wondering. I need to stay alive and get some food to find, in order to get up strength and figure my way out of this new land. So he began search around the landing spot to search for something to eat. He knew he would have to find something in order to survive... He found some orange's and coconut tree's which he could use for the time being... Soon he wondered, i need to make myself some kind of shelter for the rain and the wind, while im stuck here. So he began to gather some wood logs that were scattered around the place where he landed. He soon found some dead logs that he could use for his shelter. So he began to work on them with his pocket knife he had carrying with him. It took a long while before he could make something out of it for his shelter. But he managed to do it after a long while.. He was proud that he could manage himself like this, his courses of self-survival that he followed last year just came in handy. He knew what he was doing due to his self-survival skills. He was glad that he followed that course, but he didn't knew they would come at hand sooner or later, but now he was glad that he followed it. While he was managing his new skills, he builded a decent shelter for what he needed... It was nothing much but he knew it would manage him while he was stranded here on this new land. After the shelter was built he felt incredingly hungry, so he went to find some small branches to build his spear, so he could go fishing. After his spear was molded, he went into the ocean, to find and hunt for some fish. He was terribly hungry by now that he was very eager to get some nice big fish to fry on his campfire. He catched 3 big fish that he could eat for the time being. He carried them back to his campfire and started to fry them, so he could eat them. After his evening meal, he went to his shelter and carried himself to bed for a nap, he was exhausted from building his shelter and finding some fish to eat. To Be Continued....!

Anyone knows a free to use picture editing software? like photoshop but then free? Im currently using paint in editing my pictures for my CJ, but i find it very limited in its use compared to photoshop that i've used before. But for photoshop you need to buy the package and its very expensive in my opinion. Hope anyone can provide me a good solution to the matter...

Photoshop is a) not free and b) doesn't run native on Linux. GIMP on the other hand is the native graphics package for Linux and is free and supported. As I understood Thunderman, he does NOT have Linux and I thought he had photoshop, at least he used it before. I know that Photoshop is not free, I had to buy two copies for my offices and believe me, they're expensive. Btw, GIMP works well on simple Windows XP also. But why that comment on Photoshop not running on Linux and is not free? That wasn't my question to Thunderman.... mrb I've used Photoshop before, and i find it a very powerfull tool, but like others have said, it aint free and it's indeed expensive to buy it, (like buying a microsoft product is also expensive!) But i've tried Gimp and it confused me alot in using it, read the tutorial but still couldn't figure this out how to do things like i used to do with Photoshop. Luckily, i dove back into my Photoshop directory and found a cr*ck! Activated it and now i got a free copy (ssshh!, dont tell anyone ) So happy me is back on Photoshop again Soon you'll see the differences in my newly started CJ But thanks for the suggestions guys!

Can you tell us which version of simcity.exe you have currently? If you got all the updates is should say a version of 1.1.638.0 or higher... If its not, then i suggest to get all the updates....
