  1. Show us What you're Working On

@JulianMIA your work has really caught my attention. Great stuff! The Hybrid Railway is getting a major update at the moment with new T3d Catenary wires and extra functionality. Also, the updated HRW will once again have dedicated textures. This is to differentiate between the HRW from the RRW. I acknowledge that it is a bit back a forth with the reasoning of making the HRW base on RRW textures with the hope of the HRW being able to be modded faster. With the T3d wires and other enhancements I decided that dedicated HRW textures where needed going forward. There is still a bit to do with the updated HRW and I would invite yourself and others to suggest enhancements going forward... -eggman121 (NAM Team Member)
  2. Gone FSHin'

Hello. First of all sorry for the delayed reply. RL is pretty hectic these days. I think I understand why the FSHxDAT is failing at packing FSH files to .dat packages on a Linux filesystem. The reader load list implies looking at a C:\ location as linked below. Linux does not have a C:\, D:\, E:\ ect. I'm sure you already know about this. My question is that is it possible to change the formatted location somehow to look for root locations on linux? This is the last program I need to get working on Linux. No urgency and Thanks for the tips so far. -eggman121
  3. Gone FSHin'

Hello. I have started using Linux Mint as my operating system and have been able to get the suite of programs that I use for making content working on the Linux file system. One issue that I have not been able to resolve is the Packing of FSH files into .dat files from GoFSH scripting. I think it is due to the directory file structure but I could be wrong. If anyone knows any pointers on how to resolve this issue I would like to know. Most of GoFSH functions as intended in on Linux but the scripting and FSH to DAT sections are the issues I am having trouble with. Thanks -eggman121
  4. Ah Ok. With that information I should be able to make some D0's that fit in. Thanks for the update. -eggman121 (NAM Team Member)
  5. Thanks for the reply. Did you have the bends that you did with rivits Bender tool? That would be helpful to make the D0's Thanks, -eggman121 (NAM Team Member)
  6. Very nice work and long overdue. I am slowly coming out of hiatus for making rail content so there should be some more movement in coming months. That being said, Are the source images based on layers like Ballast, Sleepers and Rails? This is due to the Reskin that currently exists for the Real-railway that can edit the colours and textures to make a uniform set of textures with @rivit's GoFSH tool and guidance and with help from @rsc204 on the installer front. If not is is possible to get the geometric bends so I can make some D0's (Masks to make the pairs). Thanks -eggman121 (NAM team member)
  7. NAM.dll Open Beta

If I may I made FA-2 and FA-2 Short (Formerly FA-2 Alt) for the Real Railway and FA-2 Short for the HRW. This geometry has existed since NAM 37+ IIRC. Below is a picture of the FA-2, FA-2 Short and drag patterns. This may be of use for your endeavors. -eggman121 (NAM Team member)
  8. BAT4Blender

It is possible to export true 3d models from Blender 3.6 You have to select the .3ds Import/Export option in the preferences tab. Then import into reader with the .3ds file. Note: If the model uses Default XYZ orientations, The export orientation should be Z-Forward, Y-Up. The default orientation will result in the model being exported on its side. -eggman121

  10. Version v3.48

    1,630 Downloads

This upload has become now the official release of the Real RailWay (RRW) Reskin 3rd Party Lot Support and it is replacing the former and by now obsolete NCD-BSC RealRailway Texture Pack by eggman121 and rivit (both the older V1 and recently made V2 update has become superseded by this update) This is the updated version of the original NCD Real Railway Texture Override Pack by eggman121, as the original one became a bit outdated. This update contains the more coherent and up to date version of the RRW Reskin 3rd party Lot Supports by rivit, MGB and eggman121. The original files were replaced with the Reskin Kit LotSupport versions and the install folder is now identical with the RRW Reskin folder. Bear in mind this override set is only compatible with the original RealRailway (brownish) texture set. For alternative colour re-skins use the RRW Reskin Kit. For removing the outdated/old versions you will find the Cleanitol_RRW 3rd Party Lot Support v3.48.txt. Run the script with one of the third party Cleanitol Tools: nos.17 Cleanitol (new tool) BSC Cleanitol (old tool) In order to make the RRW Reskin (a project to enable the recoloring of the Real Railway) a set of Lot Textures has been created for the Original RRW texture colours. With the help of a number of modders (spotting, making and testing) a very comprehensive coverage has been achieved - roughly 1100 textures. Older lot textures were made with the Maxis Rail in mind. This set contains RRW versions of those textures. They will not be perfect as they have been algorithmically redrawn. However they match in color, guage and positioning. If when using them you discover very poor quality please let us know so we can fix them. The Set contains support for Rail Textures for lots using textures by the following authors: NAM core, BSC (incl jes), Cogeo, MGB, PEG, NCD, NOB, APTX, Simmer2 and WMP sets of Lot Textures containing Rail. Contents This download contains RRW Override files for: NCD Railyard Texture Mega-Pack Vol01 (v3) (Railyard Texture Mega-Pack Vol 1.dat*, Railyard Texture Mega-Pack Vol 102.dat and Railyard Texture Mega-Pack Vol01 v3.dat) RealRailway_ReSkin_LotSupport_NCD.dat Various rail related textures (most of them) that can be found in the BSC Textures packs (vol01-vol03)** RealRailway_ReSkin_LotSupport_BSC.dat APTX island type railstation textures (8590_RailTexture.dat), that can be found in the APTX Textures Vol01.dat RealRailway_ReSkin_LotSupport_APTX.dat Various rail related textures from Cogeo. RealRailway_ReSkin_LotSupport_Cogeo.dat Various rail related textures from MGB204/rsc204 RealRailway_ReSkin_LotSupport_MGB.dat Various rail related textures from NOB, that can be found in the NOB Texture Pack Vol01_v2.dat (former Ftextures) RealRailway_ReSkin_LotSupport_NOB.dat Various rail related textures from Pegasus a.k.a. PEGPROD, that can be found now in the PEG-SUPER_TEXTURES.dat RealRailway_ReSkin_LotSupport_PEG.dat*** Various rail related textures from Simmer2. Simmer2 has already created his textures for RRW in mind, but used custom colours, wearing etc.. These Reskin overrides in this DAT are transition textures between his RRW textures and whatever RRW Reskin is in use by the player. RealRailway_ReSkin_LotSupport_Simmer2.dat Various rail related textures created by the WMP Team, that can be found in the WMP Mega Textures v1.02. RealRailway_ReSkin_LotSupport_WMP.dat These are the rail related lot support textures that came with the base game or added by the Network Addon Mod. RealRailway_ReSkin_LotSupport_CORE.dat**** *The Rail Yard and Spur Textures Mega Pack 1 on STEX is an outdated legacy texture set. It is highly NOT recommended to be used for LOT making. Use instead the NCD Railyard Texture Mega-Pack Vol01 v3. **The BSC Texture Packs are part of the BSC Common Dependencies Pack and they are still needed since only the rail related textures were updated! So Please keep these file in your plugins folder! ***The RealRailway_ReSkin_LotSupport_PEG.dat is (more or less) identical with the PEG-SUPER_TEXTURES_RRWOverride.dat that was released with the Pegasus CDK3 Collection. ****A more or less identical version of this file (RealRailway_Textures_LotSupport.dat) can also be found in the Network Addon Mod. This update is highly recommended for anyone who is using the Real Railway and wishes for NCD Lots to conform Change Log The former NCD-BSC RealRailway Texture Pack by eggman121 and rivit (both the older V1 and recently made V2 update has become superseded by this upload, which is the official Real RailWay (RRW) Reskin 3rd Party Lot Support The APTX files are the latest addition (found by Tyberius06) the jes files have been merged into the BSC files (req. Tyberius06) a number of NCD102 textures have received corrected IIDs (found by Tyberius06) The RealRailway_ReSkin_LotSupport_PEG.dat now has become (more or less) identical with the PEG-SUPER_TEXTURES_RRWOverride.dat that was released with the Pegasus CDK3 Collection as a consequence of these changes, both versions have changed (from v2.47 to v3.48) and previous installs should be removed first before putting this in place. Installation As these are scattered throughout a number of Mods, Megapacks, Lots and .dats, these Lot Support files need to go after their likely (default) place in the loading sequence. This set should therefore be placed in a special folder Plugins/Z___RRW Reskin i.e. as in this archive. Normally you do this by copying the contents of this Archive directly into User/Plugins as the folder structure is already included. If you have Lots that use rail that load after this place in the plugins folder they will not display the RRW textures. Plugins/Z___RRW Reskin/LotSupport is the default home of all RRW (reskin) Lot Support files. If you experience any issues with these packs you can post in the applicable thread at SC4Evermore Discord. 11. Show us Your Interchanges!

Ohh the curves ^^. Here is one from me... First Orthogonal x Diagonal interchange I have been able to make. -eggman121 (NAM team member)
  12. NAM General Support

The diagonal FlexHT support for RHW 6s only is L0 to L1. RHW 4s and MIS support incrementally higher levels (L1-L2, L2-L3 and L3-L4) However. -eggman121 (NAM team member)

  14. dragonsteincole's Workshop

Good day from Australia @dragonsteincole I myself have made some Automata loosely based on Australian intermodal freight wagons and as you scroll down I have also Modeled a Locomotive. I have also made a Track laying machine but it is not up to scratch yet. Your Automata looks awesome by the way. Just thought I would share some pictures of the Models I have worked on. Keep up the good work. -eggman121 (NAM team member) + (RRW/HRW main developer)

0x5dac1980 is in the "HybridRailway_L1_Exemplars.dat" at position #24 in reader. The LHD paths are for Left hand drive use. -eggman121 (NAM Team Member)
  16. NAM General Support

Try putting the file in the root plugins folder so It loads last. if that does not work the instance is 0x5dac1980 Admittedly I did not test since I was just waking up. Still early here in Australia. Thanks for your patience. -eggman121 (NAM Team Member)

  19. NAM General Support

You don't have to avoid there use. They are more legacy content now for pre existing cities. There is alot of nifty functionality for the RRW that has not been realized yet to most players due to lack of documentation. Documentation writing is on the cards in the short term however. Essentially delayed due to RL on my part. -eggman121 (NAM Team Member)
  20. NAM General Support

The Switches and turnouts you are referring to are part of the Flextrack work that I did for the RRW. Most if not all items from the RAM era have a Flex equivalent. The Rail Addon Mod or RAM is actually work done before the Real Railway and updated with some textures and paths to make the set look consistent. Hence why you cannot find Pieces for the RRW in the RAM files. They where completed in two different eras. RAM phase one has been discontinued in favor of the RRW. Thanks -eggman121 (NAM Team Member)

Indeed the HRW that uses the Rail x Monorail Falsies (Do) accept road traffic. This does lead to some creative projects that could be done in future. I hope that one day a return to just enjoying the game will come to fruition since many of your java content has proved invaluable to the development of the NAM and it would be hard to imagine the progress we have made without your input/ wisdom. We are always receptive of your ideas and improvements. With the items you left us we owe you and you have remained a legend of the team and a role model. In essence, enjoy the game. You have had a lot of indirect and some direct input to the development as of late and hope that you can reap the rewards -eggman121 (NAM team member)

Nice work @NateKC There is a lot of stuff that can be done with the RHW that was unimaginable in the 30's versions now possible in the 40's versions. Here is an interchange I made today. Originally posted on SC4D Discord. Still a bit of Beautification to do. -eggman121 (NAM Team Member)
