Praha - prague & Brno ! Some pictures of the development of prague. Last showed the station area. Now most rail lines and the RHW further worked out ! RHW needed a more city avoiding direction, so a 45 dgr to the east with a small ramp ! Prague second small rail hub Masarykovo Nadrazi on the right ! Norther junction of the two mainline rail routes on the left ! City side of town and the hill where the castle is situated wich gave the name of the town ! Gradualy adding more of the street patern, some zoning as a town can not survice without ! Brno ! Little side project connect the rail line to Prague and extend the RHW 2 into the direction of Ostrava ! Enjoy !

WORK IN PROGRESS -- THE JADE BIGHT II WILHELMSHAVEN SOUTH: (Click to make bigger -) Yo, guys -- On the lower west side of the island -- a "sort of" Manhattan -- a tiny, unobtrusive group of buildings sits below the bluff. Removed from the teeming streets above and the clutter of high-rise offices, you can find a quiet hideaway and enjoy a good cigar and a shot of scotch in the outdoor cafe. The people coming and going from the small marina pier will provide the perfect distraction from a busy day while the "Spy Bar" provides the amenities. I always try to use the old Maxis Marina because it generates the speed boat and sail boat automata I like to watch. I added a few parking lot fillers and dressed the place up with some of Paeng's PedMalls and some MMP work. On the other end of the same access road, you will find what may be the answer to a high-powered tycoon's predicament -- "Golden Monkey Marine Air". They run commercials on television constantly -- "Own an offshore island? Got a North Sea oil rig that needs your immediate attention? Can't wait for a slow boat? Charter a seaplane from Golden Monkey! We fly anyone, anywhere, for any price that rings our bell! Unregulated flights for discreet travelers." I modified the NBVC Marina pieces for the seawalls, borrowed the floating docks from the PEG Marinas, added Paeng's seaplanes, and re-lotted his "Island Air" office to fit the scene. With a couple of parking lot fillers -- you're good to go. I deliberately made it into several modular pieces so that it can be squeezed into almost any size space, or expanded to fill a void. "Modular" is your friend !

When I get a free moment, I chip away at my ever-growing city: There's an emphasis on a lot of greenspace, including parks. As the city grows, houses turn into luxury apartments: Bike paths and public transit are important in this city. Pedestrian paths, too! A few changes have been made since the overview image was shot, but in any case, enjoy!

A place where old meets new: I'm not sure if these two pictures are kind of grotesque, but here you are. I've been working on an artifical island with a lot of highrise offices and residentials (actually, this is the first time I've ever grown highrise buildings). It required weeks of work and a lot of planning: Most of the residentials have been relotted, and I've carefully planned the layout of the entire island (regarding traffic networks, zoning, civic buildings, and free space) to make sure that no building grows twice. Hope you like it. And the same area viewn from the opposite direction:

Today we'll be taking a look at one of the world's most beautiful countries - Japan. With an impressive mix of new and old structures, landscapes, natural wonders and more - there's plenty here to keep you in awe. Our tour begins with a trip to the famous Itsukushima Shrine in Hatsukaichi, located near Hiroshima on the western side of the country. It's one of the country's most sacred sites and popular tourist destinations - its 45 foot high Torii Gate is truly breathtaking. We travel east to Kyoto, the former capital of Japan - where we'll visit one of the country's most iconic landmarks: the famous Golden Pavilion. Originally completed in 1397, this site has been a symbol of Kyoto for centuries. Despite being completely rebuilt in 1955, this famous Zen temple still retains its charm and beauty - and its famed gold leaf exterior attracts plenty of tourists. Japan is a country that's also known for its stunning countryside - and its rice paddies are one of the country's most famous sites. With nearly 80% of the country covered in mountains, terraces like these can be seen for miles around. Japan is also one of the world's largest tea producers - and beautiful tea plantations are a common sight in the countryside. Not too far away is another one of the country's most iconic sights: Mount Fuji. Standing 12,388 feet tall, it's also an active stratovolcano with the last eruption coming in 1708. This legendary mountain has also been a pilgrimage site for centuries and is considered one of the country's most sacred destinations. With nearly 40 million people in its urban area, Tokyo is the largest urban area not just in Japan but also the entire world. Formerly known as Edo, it became the country's capital in 1868 and has transformed into a global economic and financial hub. The city is filled with stunning landmarks, such as it's famed Shibuya Intersection. This "scramble" intersection is said to be the busiest in the world and every light sends hundreds of people in every direction. The next stop is one of Tokyo's famous landmarks - the Tokyo Tower. Completed in 1958, it stands 1,092 feet tall and is the country's second tallest structure. The observation deck offers extraordinary views of the city - and is a must visit for anyone traveling to Tokyo. Our final stop is Tokyo's famous Shinjuku skyline - located in the heart of downtown, it's filled with stunning modern high rises and is especially impressive at nighttime. I have retextured the end side of A-tanker: I think it looks better now. Also, I edited the texture of the B-tanker, making it a little bit more "blue" to give a new tanker effect. The used version is OK and I'm gonna keep it anyway. Does it looks new?

Guys... to tell you the truth, I've barely worked on SimCity 4 at all. I really do love the game, and the city I've been working along is great so far. But right now, I have college to deal with, and I do have other things I work on in my spare time. I really wish I could have more time to work on my city, but I don't think it's very high on my priority list right now. I also realize it's been quite a while since I've been on Simtropolis, and since I last posted, my beloved Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl! When that happened, I lost all self control and ran around the neighborhood screaming with no shoes on. It was absolutely spectacular.

SimCoug Cemetery Props MMP Description: Have you ever wanted to place tombstones without having to resort to a pre-created lot? Probably not, but if you do, then this MMP (found in the 'Mayor Mode' menu - look for the tombstone) is for you. Now you can place tombstones, sarcophagi (yep, it's totally a word dude), or crypts with the click of the mouse, anywhere you want! The MMP is organized into 9 different prop groups: -single tombstone -4 tombstones (square) -single row of tombstones -2 rows of tombstones -full tile of tombstones -single sarcophagus -2 rows of sarcophagi -single crypt -row of 3 crypts Each group has two clicks, in order to better your chances of getting the correct orientation of the prop. However, if that fails then the very last click is a blank in order to reduce the need to bulldoze. See the example image on the STEX to get an idea of the different props you will get on each click. Installation: Simply put the folder in your plugins. Dependencies: None! I'd like to thank the folks at SimPeg for their feedback and advice. For comments, questions or help, please visit SimCoug's Lot&Mod Den Happy 'painting'.

Since that installation is completely outside of Steam I'm gonna assume you have a pirated version of the game. We don't offer any help for pirated versions here on Simtropolis. I suggest you buy the game - then you can use the workshop and subscribe to items, which automatically installs them in the correct position.

Well I have a bit of an update but not much to show. Had to work on the weekend, ironically enough to free up time later in the week prepare a bid on the real version of this, so not much done on the virtual version... -Ornaments have been added, but not textured -Center track still does not work -Pedestrians go directly from track level to one of two entrances rather than make use of actual pedestrian paths? They walk via a path I never laid out in the editor directly to the surface, then walk across the street, into an underpass and back into the station to continue using the underground pedestrian network. For reference, I plan to make the following once this is done: Underground freight station (Pennsylvania Railroad freight house, 31st and Chestnut Streets, Philadelphia PA) Elevated freight station (St. John's Park Terminal, New York, NY) (southern end of the High Line, incredibly this building still exists though this part of the viaduct doesn't) (This way you can have a functional, easy-to-build concealed or at least elevated freight network and no one can accuse you of being unrealistic.) And then probably a multimodal, bus/tram/elevated/light(ish) rail terminal. (69th Street Terminal, Upper Darby, PA) (someone code freight trams so I can do 72nd street freight terminal too)

Perhaps one of the most intricately ornamented structures in Columbia, South Carolina, the Palmetto Building opened its doors in 1913. Surpassing its neighbor, the sole skyscraper in the city now known as the Barringer Building, this goliath stretched fifteen stories into the sky. The 215-foot structure housed the Palmetto National Bank originally, but is now an office complex. Check these old videos I found of SimCity 4 at E3 2002: http://youtu.be/CDYtuDpLNQA http://youtu.be/NxgcNPNO3K0 Looks way better than game. http://youtu.be/JSgrcMgw4hk http://youtu.be/YmvsWW524R8 The game looked so different! 2 lane highways? Buildings I never seen before, lighting was way better, and the animations such as sims walking on the first vid looked far more realistic, they even had shadows like the cars! The disaster also looked way different than the actual game. I always wondered why the game was so different before and changed now? What ever happened to that 2 lane highway?

This set contains three plazas for use with the BSC Raised Park series. These lots, and the ones in the associated Rasied Park sets, are based on some ideas I got from Japan. In Shinjuku there are some parks raised above street level. This has the effect of removing much of the traffic noise from the park areas. Connecting these parks to each other and nearby buildings are pedestrian bridges to keep the pedestrian traffic flowing. Finally the Tokyo Government Office building has some amazing stonework at its base emulating some of the magnificent Japanese castles. These were combined into a common set of lots contained in this (and associated) lots. This set contains three lots; a 2x2 corner plaza so sims can enter the raised parks, a 3x3 plaza featuring a fountain and some trees to relax in, and a 3x3 plaza with a market. The lots (see readme) are modded to act as a combination of Flower Gardens and Plaza's, with the emphasis being on Landmark Effect (to boost commercial demand/growth). The lots will reduce some air pollution, but do use and pollute water. The market plaza features Gascookers market stall props which are packed up of an evening. The lots are meant to be used on the edges of a raised park; the 2x2 on a corner and the 3x3 lots on an edge. The lots are designed to work with the BSC Raised Park set (also found on the STEX) and won't look right without the Raised Park pieces around them. These lots are BSC Tracking Enabled (BTE) which means they may contribute to Reward Chains. Thanks to the BSC for assistance with these lots and the series. Special thanks to Gascooker for the props.

Have you ever crafted a stunning public space in your cities, only to find it just a bit lifeless? These 1x1 tiles of pure pedestrian energy have been created for the purpose of averting this problem. Three lots are included: one with a grassy base texture suitable for parks, another for plazas, one more with a transparent base ideal for beaches. These straightforward lots combine a mixture of standing people props and random walk effects giving a completely varied appearance. They are much more visible at greater zoom levels, but can still be seen to give life to your city as far out as zoom 3. The stats are as follows: Plop cost: §10 Monthly cost: §1 Bulldose cost: §1 Landmark effect: 2 over 10 tiles Park effect: 1 over 10 tiles Garbage produced: 1 unit The water and power consumption, pollution values and flammability all stand at zero, as does the number of dependencies! Important Note: The people displayed on these lots are affected by the ingame day and night cycles. Even if you haven't set it to shift through day and night, they will disappear at 20:00 and come out the following morning at 08:00. You can use the cheat of "whattimeizit" followed by the desired time if you want to see them on demand. Mod Edit: Fixed broken description formatting.
