    *sigh* Time to move on, I guess. And whilst we still have forums on Simtropolis and other fan-sites, the official forum on citiesxl.com was where people did most of their complaining - er, I mean contributing. Yes, I am willing to accept the future of CXL without a public forum. But it would be nice to have all the old threads archived and able to view as a sort of historical reference.

    This deserves 5 stars for sure. I would have preferred it to provide power, since my rural communities never need water anyway, but I won't rate you down for that. To see the moving windmill is quite special, thank you.

    I see this as a flawed ideology. Yet this issue has been discussed to death. I was probably wrong to express my views in this way. In my own defence I saw it as a victimless crime. Now I have updated the file, there is no long-lasting damage to the community. The 452 people who originally downloaded this lot do not need to redownload.

    If this is a matter of personal choice, then I choose not to download lots that are chained to these packs of extraneous materials. Unless you are downloading plenty of items that all use the same MEGA pack, the idea doesn't make sense.

    So why did I bother? The reason I did it is because I resent it when the use of a few simple props in a lot can force a user to download an entire MEGA pack. In this case the victorian style walls added 80kb to the file. Alternatively users may instead download 9602kb of stuff that they don't even want/need.

    It was my choice to include another persons's props (only the ones that were used on the lot). I was not EXPLICITLY claiming it as my own. I thought no one would notice; I thought no one would care. Clearly some people DO care, and they have uncovered my not-so-clever plan.

    Sorry about this. I have removed the models from the DAT file now. Anyone else should now download the MEGA pack. I could possibly delete people's comments and pretend it all didn't happen. But I am not going to do that.
