32 pointsTitanic. You've been offered help all this time, people have rendered stuff for you and you release this. This, what you showed last week and everyone commented on what you should do, how you should continue. For this 4 story sign and a textureless memorial. You didn't even bother to change the scale. The titanic sank on April 14th. The date you wanted this out. Even to learn BAT that isn't enough time. Let alone to produce the quality you're expecting (though at the moment I don't know WHAT you expect) ...and you release it 2 months and 14 days ahead of schedule. All that time could have been spent improving your skills. After the constant advice people willingly give you and you produce this, I don't know what you want anymore.

16 points..I hate to say this, but I second _marsh_. From what I can see, this one can really use a lot of improvement. I'm thinking you should shelve this project and practice with simple designs. No one can become a master of the BAT overnight, it takes work. And to save time and face, Try doing little stuff. As the old saying goes "practice makes perfect". You really can't just crank out shoddy products with minimal skill, it doesn't work that way. When I was making my F-15's I wanted to make it as accurate as possible. Every day I found new flaws and fixed them until there weren't any more. I suggest doing the same thing. Stick to one project and work on it everyday. Using photos to try and match the real thing and asking questions about what to do next will bring in better reviews. I was also about to reply to a message you sent me about this and I now find it on the STEX and taking heavy fire (as with almost all of your uploads). You can reverse this downward trend, you just have to keep at it and don't let thoughts like "I can't make anything good" take over. Right now, I would suggest working on a simple BAT, like maybe a Titanic funnel. And before even thinking of uploading, ask experienced BATters questions. If you still don't know how to do it, there are lots of tutorials on how to do it. The one thing we do ask is not to stay at square 1 where this cycle just loops over and over again.

12 pointsWhat's up guys, it's Escilnavia again bringing a teaser of this summer CJ. Once again, because of school work, I've been really busy. I've wanted to comment and rate on a lot of Cjs but yet have been to busy . Anyways Enjoy and um, here we go! ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ It's quiet... too quiet... (this is a real Sc4 pic!): HOLY MOLY ! SAND STORM! Run small caravan, run!: Luckily they reach the small village of Deiji, the people welcome the rich caravan, hopping to sell goods to these wealthy merchants: But back at home, (Al Kadir, remade) the sand storm has reached they're home city, hitting the Marina of Kadir! _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I hoped you enjoyed, if you did, please take the short time to rate, comment, +1, and/or like Thanks, Escilnavia

12 pointsAs the above commenters said before, don't rush things. There's still a lot that needs to be done for this model. No wonder why its current rating is only a mere 1.33 stars; it's rushed and it just looks not done yet. What it mainly misses is detail, textures and the right scaling. The model looks bare, quite square, detailless and most of all, way too big (a 40m high sign with 3m letters, really?). Also, the lot looks also way too big and empty; not even a single lamp, person, tree, bench or whatever is placed on the lot, making the lot look like a giant waste of space. I think you want to start with a too big project as your first BAT. Start small, try to get to know the BAT well, take a look at the details and reference material, know your limits and most of all: do something with the comments from experienced BATters to improve your model. I may sound harsh and like I'm echoing the previous comments, but this is exactly what most people will think of it. We don't like to see people fail and we try to push them in the right direction, but it needs to come from both sides. I've seen it before at Nathanthemayor's BATs and fortunately, he did eventually listen to the comments on his BATs and his BATs are getting better from the level "absolute garbage" to "pretty decent". If you take time to listen and improve your models, you might go in the same direction. I like to see people improve over time rather than failing over and over again... Best, Maarten

10 pointsPrimitively modelled, strangely scaled, untextured, and the STEX entry is riddled with spelling errors. I'm sorry, but how is anyone supposed to take an upload like this seriously? You want to contribute, that's great - but at some point you need to ask yourself, "is what I'm contributing going to be in any way worthwhile to the community? And does the quality of the contribution I am making do it justice?"

10 points
I only gave you the idea to make the ship smaller and you never followed the advice. That doesn't mean that im on the TBM team. I never formally agreed to join the team, I just gave you advice that you never followed. Could you remove my name from the upload?
I've removed your name from the description. Also, to everyone, please try and follow the examples set by a few of our members already and keep your criticisms constructive. Thanks.

10 pointsSo that you're not the only one who posts on your upload, here's my verdict. This is one of those things that I wouldn't download, because it contains....."nothing". It is an empty lot with a baseball field and a bldg. C'mon now, who can't do this with LE? Missing details and utility (use of it). Sorry, what a waste of space. I don't vote, but I'd give this a *0*.

8 pointsNew year, new projects. This time round, it'll be Canada's Toronto-Dominion Centre, a large financial complex located in the heart of Toronto. Constructed in the late 60's and gradually added to over the second half of the twentieth century, the TDC is home to almost 21,000 workers on any given day. This exceptionally large complex, consisting of 6 individual towers and a large glass pavilion, is spread out over an area expected to translate to 17x9 grid tiles in SC4. We'll also be modelling and releasing a seventh tower and smaller complex located near the main complex in real life, which is generally regarded as part of the centre as a whole. All seven towers will also be rendered and lotted separately from main the complex for those who would like to use them individually. Kellydale2003, who initiated this project, will be at the helm. He'll be taking care of most of the architectural modelling. I've joined him in his efforts and will be taking care of the grounds and the flora, as well as assisting in any way I can with texturing, night-lighting and the export. Kelly's far too busy BATing at the moment to be starting any BAT threads, but he has put together an accurate model sketch of the complex and has almost completed one of the towers already. He'd like you to know that the night lighting is still far from finished. I've been doing some basic work on the grounds of the main complex. (We've made the decision to alter the elevation of the grounds and some aspects of its design to better suit the game environment, but we're trying to stay as close to the real thing as we possibly can.) Done in the same way as the United Nations Project was, this will be a collaborative effort. If you're competent in 3ds Max (2010+), reliable and would be willing to assist with this massive project, even if only in a small way, we'd really love to hear from you. From my own experience I can say that working on a big project with other BATers can be extremely rewarding. We'll be trying our best to recreate this complex as accurately as possible and we'll be incorporating some of the most advanced BATing techniques available. We hope to have the model in a near completed state before the middle of the year. So, let's get started then...

8 pointsSomewhere up far north.... ...let's go back to civilization.. Jårvelinna is a city and municipality of 41,742 inhabitants (31 January 2011) in the region of Northern Sjnömark in Sjoland. It is the most populous city in Northern Sjolands and the twenty-fifth most populous city in the country. Jårvelinna was founded on April 8, 1605, by King Charles IX of Sweden opposite to the fort built on the island of Ritisjala. This took place after favourable peace settlements with the Russians, which removed the threat of attack via the main east-west waterway, the river Jarva. The surrounding areas were populated much earlier. Jårvelinna is situated by the Gulf of Bothnia, at the mouth of river Sjnöjoki, which is an ancient trading site.

8 pointsFirst War Memorial Now more than two years into a war with Queensferry, Schulmania has gained approval from the Supreme Wirdle to build the first war memorial in the nation. Most of the battle sites are either in enemy hands or in areas too dangerous to build such a place. But, in South Wirdleonia, where the garrison town of Little Castle stood before it was destroyed by enemy missiles, the area is safe enough to allow plans to proceed. All that remains of the town now is a large crater. It is that crater which the War Memorial Commission, in association with the Office of Military Construction and Schulmania National Parks wishes to preserve and make into the a memorial. Below is information about the plans and how you can help contribute to make this happen. First, a reminder of what was there before the attack… And what was done by Queensferry… How you can help: The plans drawn up for the memorial will cost 16,300 gold schulmonetas to execute. Once the sum has been raised, construction can begin. Schulmania is counting on the Simtropolis community to help raise these funds. Luckily, 3,000 schulmonetas have already been raised, so only 13,300 remain to be collected. How do you contribute? For each “like” on the Schulmania topic in Volume 3, a contribution of 1,000 schulmonetas will be recorded (thus, the 3 likes there already provide the 3,000 aforementioned coins). Where’s the proper place to like? It’s here: https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/journals/698-schulmania/ . A “like” of the War Memorial post in Volume 3 will donate 350 schulmonetas. Where’s that? It’s here: https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/journals/698/entry-15547-first-war-memorial/. And, a post of support in either Volume 2 (here: https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/topic/24185-schulmanias-gated-community/) or Volume 3 (https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/journals/698/entry-15547-first-war-memorial/ ) will donate 200 schulmonetas. And, there’s one more way to contribute. A posted comment on the Schulmania Blog in support of the project will donate an additional 200 schulmonetas. Where’s that? It’s here: http://schulmania.info/blogengine.net/ . A running total of donations received will be posted on the Volume 3 update page until the amount has been raised. Thank you in advance for your support!

8 pointsSelbring is back for 2012! And here is the first official update of the year... Welcome again, to Selbring as today we find ourselves in amongst the dense district of Stoddard Heights. A cleaner side of the inner-city of Selbring and is full of towers of all heights, widening the reaches of the financial and commercial center of Selbring. It is the one of yet the most beautiful parts of the Selbrinian Metro, and the part of Selbring which has the least graffiti on it's walls. As the sun sets at Selbring, the towers gleam at the light and the city descends into darkness. The city lights flick on, and brighten the streets of the city. People start their cars and drive home, or take a late evening stroll or clubbing around the city. And as the skies clear of clouds and smog, the towers are seen better and clearer, minus the yellow-green haze. THANKS FOR VIEWING!

8 pointsUpdate Synopsis: Well, originally update 50 was going to be on the smaller scale as update 49 was the de facto celebration. Ooops... That didn't happen. So welcome one and all to Windemere & Taschereau's 50th update! We are returning to where it all began, in Eastburg. We will be taking a look at the town then, and now and looking at some of the many changes is has gone through. To mark the occasion a special banner was used above, and the original banner for this CJ is below to mark that we are in Windemere. So sit back, relax and enjoy! This is the original banner, which was never used on a new update here in the CJ Section. 50.1| When this CJ first came onto the scene, Eastburg was a peaceful small town. Not much happened, though it did feature a surprisingly large downtown area for a town its size. It had a few large buildings, a grocery store and common area. But that wouldn't last... 50.2 | As demand rose across the region, Eastburg appeared unchanged. Not much occurred in the town, with only a few housing developments being built. But that would soon change. Developers took note of the downtown core, large expanses of undeveloped land close to the largest city in Windemere. Soon, development sky-rocketed and several new office buildings and condos were built in Downtown Eastburg. 50.3 | The building to be most recently completed is Comalco Tower. This building took place of several smaller offices and a gas station. It has drastically changed the skyline of the Downtown area while also providing more employment to the area. 50.4| As part of the redevelopment of the former Shoppers Supermarket site, condominiums were constructed for those wishing to be close to downtown, but not have to work about all maintenance that goes with a house. 50.5 | As part of the new office building, a small walking park was built while large, mature trees were planted. It is now a favourite spot for residents in the downtown area. 50.6 | There was a lot of empty land when we first visited Eastburg. It only had a population of around 15000-20000. Many residents took pride in their small town with lots of green lands surrounding them. 50.7 | Now, though, development has begun to occupy these green spaces. This development continues to move its way north, with a new phase of housing just completed and another on the way. 50.8 | A new office building will soon find itself here, adding even more employment to the area. Eastburg is quickly changing from a bedroom community to a community where people can live and work. 50.9 | There was also a series of updates detailing the highway construction in Eastburg. Originally a 4 lane highway, it was quickly becoming congested through Eastburg. As part of the widening to 6 lanes, both interchanges were reconstructed. Once this interchange was completed, highrises were expected to pop-up as a result of zoning changes. But they didn't. 50.10 | Instead, they popped up at the other end of town, near the rail lines. Of course, many figured that someday large residential towers would be constructed by the other interchange. 50.11 | And those people would be right. Here we are at that interchange now. These new condominium towers have just recently been completed, causing a huge surge in population to Eastburg. With the completion of these 2 large projects the population now sits at 80 000 - a far cry from the small town days when it was 15 000-20 000. 50.12 | Even though these large towers aren't something you would find in a small town, there are still features which distinguish the development from the hustle and bustle of the city. One just needs to look at the layout of this development and the amount of trees that surround the buildings to remember they are in the suburbs. 50.13 | But even with the completion of these towers, there is still a lot more room to build up. All the empty space between the higher-density developments allows for similar style developments, which could push the population of Eastburg well beyond 100 000 some day... 50.14 | We finish of the 50th update celebration in style... with a huge night mosaic of course! This mosaic shows of a large swath of Eastburg as the lights of the night twinkle. As always, I hope you've enjoyed this update and are looking forward to more! Comments and replies are always welcome. I just wanted to thank everyone for commenting over the past 50 updates. When I started this CJ back at the end of August, I didn't really know how far it would go, what storylines would appear and really what the future would hold. Where, here we are at the end of the 50th update. Making to 50 updates was a hope, but I never thought I would reach it. So I want to thank everyone for continuing to comment, and here is to many more updates!

8 pointsWhat's the problem with RAR files, anyway? Get a good free and open-source application like 7-Zip, and it's very likely that you'll never have to worry about archive formats again because that software pretty much covers all regular formats like ZIP, RAR, TAR.GZ etc. etc. profxyz, I think that's a really decent first upload, and you have my respect for taking that step from "leecher" to uploader. You made a good choice, too, by starting with a smaller object. Are you planning to open a BAT thread? I'm asking because IMO that would be a better place to give feedback and discuss things. In any case, keep it up!

Men came and carved out many acres of farmland and founded the port cities of Martin, Hawthorne, and St. Paul on the Brittany, Penelope, and Christina Rivers respectively. Martin at the mouth of the Brittany River (which travels inland the farthest) has spread to its current form and is the seat of Martin county government, District of Wenzel government, and Wenzel National government. Hawthorne and St. Paul are poised for growth as suburbs. Very early Martin. Martin continued to spread west along the peninsula to the north of the Brittany River. "Old Town" today is home to the headquarters of a number of global companies, and also the county and district governments. Martin has spread all around the confluence of the Brittany River, Bitter Creek, Orchard Creek, and Honey Creek. Only the East Flats remain undeveloped for now. The first river road, now District Highway 50, leads through many lush farms along the Brittany River. More farms south of the river along what will be District Highway 10. The pristine river and farmland with Martin Road Bridge crossing the Brittany River. Near the mouth of Portland Creek, District Highways 50 and 230 intersect. The Brittany River Road, now Brittany River Boulevard (D50) is surrounded by high-rises and workshops. A larger bridge spans the Brittany River parallel to a rail bridge. Now District Highway 15 runs along this stretch known as Grand Avenue north of the river and South Eighth Street south of it. Capital Square and Park, the seat of Wenzel national government. The intersection of District Highways 50 and 230 is considerably more developed and expanded. Municipal Stadium is nearby. Southall Park and Southall College now. The near north side. The intersection of future North Prospect Avenue and East Orchard Avenue. Farms between Orchard and Honey Creeks. Development of Cramer Neighborhood. Carving out Lincoln Terraces. Cramer Neighborhood today. Lincoln Terraces around the intersection of North Prospect Avenue and East Orchard Avenue. The Near North Side today. District Highway 29 intersecting with future Oklahoma Avenue. Undeveloped intersection of District Highways 34 and 15. This intersection of South Wisconsin Avenue (D29) and East Oklahoma Avenue is one of the busiest in the county now. Now the simple intersection of D35 and D15 is now a complicated intersection of three major thoroughfares. National Highway 45 also piggybacks on Hawthorne Avenue (D34). Further development around Sixteenth Street. The extent of development west at District Highway 15. The apple orchard is the future site of Applewood Neighborhood. Development encroaching on the orchard. The region through the years Check out the District of Wenzel Street Map to get an idea where we are. Tell me what you think of the new map style (scroll down to the farthest south area of google map style). I am currently overhauling and adding many new maps, keep checking it out! Thanks for 50 great updates! I hope we have an even more successful next 50!

8 pointsYou don't even need LE to do this. You can plop down a school, baseballfield, playground, and some grass already included in the game. If you want to make a lot you have to be somewhat creative. And if you're making a lot using maxis you have to be ESPECIALLY creative because everyone is honestly tired of seeing this stuff.

Troix came from the Etruscan word "trois", literally meaning three. Variations of the country name include in 三 Sanese. According to records, Troix was first settled by the Atsus, which was a tribe that primarily fish and gather food in the islands. Gradually the Atsus were driven south, and foreign invaders eventually settled in the island of Halcon, which then became the Miyagi Empire. Also during that time the new settlers established an early form of Shoto, a religion, in the country. However, the empire didn't last long as it fell on a civil conflict that lasted 86 years, also known in Troix as the Great Sanese War. At that time, 3 major powers appear, the Honda Clan, headed by Honda Teremuto, the Ogasawara Clan, headed by Ogasawara Jinchiro and the Minato Clan, headed by Minato Josetsu. After the war, the nation continued to civilize and it developed laws that primarily reflect their Peilanese counterparts. Also during that time, the nation underwent a period of social upheaval, political intrigue and also constant military conflicts between daimyos. Notable events from that period include the Bodaijō War and the Kidnapping of Crown Prince Futaku, which would later lead the united islands as the Kyōtsū Emperor. After several conflicts and political disputes, the nation was finally united by the Honda Clan in 1401 and they establish the permanent capital in Okashi. During this period, the nation went into a cultural revolution, establishing many forms of art such as the ukiyo-e, a form of wood block printing. The nation also enforced sakoku, in which foreigners and citizens are not allowed to enter the nation and foreign trade only took place in special designated places. However, everything changed when the Saito Emperor took over the throne. He abolished the government's bakufu system and he made a constitution from Western Althenian laws such as Posillipo's and Insulo's. With the restoration of the emperor, Troix underwent a dramatic growth in the economy and the nation established a formidable force in the Armed Forces. In 1921, the constitution is redrafted to reflect the nation's growth in military and economic power. During this period Troix expanded the reaches of its empire to other places in Eastern Adonia such as Southern Peilan and the Kwangju Peninsula. In 1948, however, Troix's imperial growth was prevented and its territories were occupied because of the nation's participation in the Great Adinian War. The nation tried many ways to prevent invaders from occupying Troix by implementing suicidal tactics. The islands were defended but Troix lost its territorial gains. After the Great Adonian War, the nation continued it's growth economically and militarily, but the nation would soon fall to several protests, leading to the Quiet Revolution of 1968. The ruling government was dissolved, and the country underwent several changes, including the renaming of the nation and its cities. By the 1980's Troix's growth is so quick many people think that it would lead to a bubble. The bubble burst in 1987, and the nation suffered an economic crisis that would lead to the Referendum of 2011, which restored the emperor's power as the ruler of Troix. 6 pointsWell... a long time has passed since my first addon was released for the 125-years celebration... So over the past few weeks I've been busy to refresh some of the old items and produce a load of new ones for a second addon... While discussing, lotting, modding and testing these items, a number of screenshots evolved - making up this small update :-) If you are considering to start your own logging industry, you're invited to browse my "Cheat Sheet: Logging in Rural Areas" which gives you a complete overview of all logging-related items you'll need for a good start... See you there :-)

6 points22. Lowkee's Terrain Mod of Ridiculous Awesomeness. On February 4 Lowkee released his LK Appalacian Terrain Mod, and my mind was completely blown. I've used Meadowshire for years. I love it. I love the gentle white powder of fresh snowfields, The soft grey of higher elevation rocky ground. Purple wildflowers incorporated into the mid elevation textures. The greenness that reminds me of Western Washington in May. That same brilliant green in the alpine reaches. In short, from sea level to the top of the mountains it fits the region I want to play on. It does such a good job that I've stuck with it even when the HD Pyrenees Terrain Mod was released by TSC. Then Lowkee's Mod came along. I know he's been working on it meticulously for what seems like years, and the effort shows. So I downloaded it, made a fresh rendering Plugin folder and opened up my test region. Here's Mt. Baker before with Meadowshire: And the same Mountain with Lowkee: Moving up to the Granddaddy of the region, Mt. Rainier, with Meadowshire: And again with Lowkee: Although the terrain texture is great the rocky area devoid of greenish textures between the yellow-tans and the snow was greater than I wanted for my region. So with some advice from Lowkee on how to not shoot myself in the foot I fired up Reader and pulled the snow textures down to cover most of what had been bare rock. But before we get to the results of that experiment let's get up close with the knitty gritty of the textures. 1. Mt. Rainier zoomed out. I like how the newer textures lend themselves well to glacial buildup on further out zoom levels. Of course meadowshire was nice in that the fresh white look was good for imitating a fresh snowfield. It's really too bad both can't coexist at once. 2. Closer zoom of the current summit crater of Mt. Rainier. That hard pack / ice look just gets better and better. 3. One of the Transitions on Mt. Rainier from snow to ground. On the default there would be a large zone of rocky scree slopes here. Those look very, very good too but I just tweaked it so it's more like what you find on Mt. Rainier, with the snow coming all the way down to the greenish areas. 4. An 'arm' of Mt. Baker. Here we see the greener textures nicely. Those little blips in the middle near the shore are flora from the next pic. 5. Just some random HD flora on an HD texture. Shiny 6. Black Butte on Mt. Baker, which is actually the core of a previous summit. The snow looks a little patchy here because I was playing with the cliff properties when I took this. 7. Same tile, rotated, with some wintery versions of HD flora. 8. Same area, zooming in a little. 9. Same, next to max zoom. 10. Another brown to snow transition in the High Cascades. 11. More barren upper elevation terrain with C.P.s doug firs to give an impression of scale. 12. Back in the Scott Bluff tile of Crater Lake. 13. It blends so good. And finally, here's a shot of my region with Meadowshire, taken immediately before installing Lowkee's terrain. And now with the entire region rerendered with Lowkee's. (You'll notice I also took the oportunity to do a little remodeling on the Bluewater River and the southern coastline to clean up some issues). Also, you can see the effects of pulling the snow textures down. The snow level is not a little lower than what it was before and shows up on some of the other ridges and mountains than just the volcanoes. So there you have it; there's a new sheriff of Terrain mods. It is just the terrain textures that Lowkee has finished. The cliff texture he made is also excellent and blends perfectly with his terrain. The beach is still good but not really a super polished product (since many will undoubtably use Marsh's HD beach textures or rivit's). The water included is also excellent, however Shock Therapy over at simpeg just released his HD rework of the classic Brigantine and made a variety of coloration for it; I think it's a must have. Lowkee's Terrain Mod can be found on the LEX (requires free registration) here: http://sc4devotion.c...php?lotGET=2753 Be warned; the HD texture pack that is a dependancy is something like 50 Megs, but it's well worth every byte. Also be sure to read the documentation if you have one of Lowkee's Flora Tuning Parameters installed. I know this whole update is like a giant add but hey, I love this terrain mod. Over the next couple update's you'll see how it shines when we take the flora to it. (And holy cow does it shine). Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments below; they're all appreciated. Don't be afraid to rate and +1 if you're so inclined. See you all next time. Hmm.... I'm going to need to make new banners now. Anyways!: @ ten trillion, Huston, emperordaniel, gugu3: Thanks guys very much for your comments; I'm glad you like it! @ spursrule14; Thanks! Awards are always a good thing. @dzekins: Sorry but I don't really. There are some ploppable people in the VIP packs or the RFR stuff I think, but they are doing specific scenes, like fishing. @Adooxx: Thank you. There are many plopable water mods out there that you might want to take a look at. There's tahoe, edmonton, Dusktroopers, srotchin's, jeronij's, etc...

Unfortunately I cannot BAT and don't have the time to learn. simfreak1998: Thanks! VMIUJcadet09: Thanks! Lagouira's skyline mostly consists of low-rise commercial and residential buildings built in a typical north african architectural style. Lagouira however does have a few notable skyscrapers including the Gharbiyyan Interior Ministry building which was built in the 1970s and towers 113m (371ft) above the city. The Gharbiyyan Parliamentary Building is perhaps the most modern-looking structure in the city and houses offices of all the most important people in the country. Across the road from the Parliamentary Building is Gharbiyya's largest shopping complex. Near the Medina is the Djama'a al-Kebir Mosque which gently illuminates the night sky. Finally, I will leave you with an overview of the city... and a huge mosaic. Thank you again for visiting the great country of Gharbiyya and the city of Lagouira.

5 pointsWEDDING DAY - SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2012 - 11:00 AM Welcome, everyone, to the first Adonian Royal Wedding of the year! Today is the much-anticipated wedding between His Imperial and Royal Majesty Charles the First, King of Grand, Emperor of Belluterra, King of Malo, Prince of Tarskya, Grand Duke of Royale, Duke of Long Island, Count of Long Creek, Count of Skarr, and Count of Lake Tranquil, and Miss Jóhanna Anna Guðrúnsdóttir of the Republic of Gamat. 93 state guests are coming to the wedding, hailing from 23 different nations, 15 of which are members of the Union. In addition to these esteemed guests, who are staying at the Great Western Palace, situated on a narrow peninsula at Grand Island's northwest corner, thousands of others are also expected to attend, though for security's sake, they will be in a different part of the cathedral than the official guests. Besides the thousands who will see the event in person, millions, if not billions, are going to be watching this live on TV, the Internet, or what have you. Here is one of many gardens in the world-famous palace, which is one of the largest built in the modern era, construction beginning several years before the Great Adonian War (1947-1952). This particular area is a memorial to the devastation caused by the GAW and associated conflicts, such as the Trentanno-Belluterran invasion and occupation of Grand, which lasted from 1941 to 1951, when the nation was liberated by the Posilliponian Armed Forces. Emnity between Grand and Trentannia has already died down, though; an example of the very good relations between the two nations now is the fact that the Trentannian King, Richard IV, and his wife Queen Julia, have been invited to the wedding. As you can see, a few dozen people have already begun to gather for the wedding, which will begin quite soon. Here, en route to the Cathedral of Saint Francis (patron saint of the nation), we pass an area of the gardens dominated by tall, shady trees and beautiful decorative fountains in all shapes and sizes. This is one small part of the Fountain District of the palace, which covers nearly two square kilometers - larger than the Vateo, home of the Pope. Deeper into the Fountain District, the fountains designs become more varied, and the pathways start to take unusual twists and turns, frequently crisscrossing each other. This is one of the most popular parts of the palace for tours, and is also one of the newest sections; the last fountain was switched on for the first time in 1989. Getting back to the main path, we pass an outdoor hot tub, a miniature rose garden, and a statuary dedicated to famous figures from thorought history. As the time draws nearer, the crowd seems to be getting bigger... Finally, we arrive at the cathedral, which almost everybody has already entered. Discounting civillian residences that used to be located here, this was one of the first buildings begun on the site, before the palace was ever concieved of. It was heavily damaged during the occupation era, as it was the focal point of a stronghold for Royalist troops. From a combination of Trentannian bombing and Belluterran shelling, very little was left of the structure by the time the town, and the palace, was liberated by the Posilliponian Navy in March 1951; what was left was torn down soon after for salvageable building materials. Starting in 1957, reconstruction began on the cathedral, and by 1975, it had been rebuilt and rededicated. Everyone is now inside, and all that is missing is the bride and her father, who are due to arrive very soon. His Imperial and Royal Majesty, King-Emperor Charles I Miss Jóhanna Anna Guðrúnsdóttir The bride has arrived! All eyes are on her as she, accompanied by her father Guðrún Arnarssón, moves forward to take her place by the altar next to Charles. She is wearing a beautiful, yet simple in design, wedding dress made from Ruterian silk, and having designs taken from nature sewn into various parts of the dress in gold thread. She is also wearing a Gamic wedding crown made of branches, leaves and minerals of her сhoice, with traditional Gamic charms hanging from it, designed to make a musical tinkling sound as she walks down the aisle, to protect her from malicious spirits which, according to Gamic tradition, love to wreak havoc upon newlyweds. Jóhanna's Wedding Dress At the altar, the groom's brother, the Prince Imperial and the Louwahkutapaht (head of the Church of Grand) are stationed to officiate over the wedding. Charles is wearing his ceremonial uniform as Commmander-in-Chief of the united armed forces of Grand, Belluterra, and Malo; complete with the sword "Wansisart", a relatively ancient heirloom of the Kingdom of Grand, passed down from King to King since the 16th century, when it was in possession of King Francis Roberts I, who founded the Royal Kingdom of Grand in the mid-1500s. The only time it has ever been out of the country since it was made was during the GAW, when King Francis V took the sword with him when he was forced to evacuate in the face of the advancing Belluterran Army and Trentannian Navy. Wansisart They have now reached the altar, and the wedding ceremony has officially begun. The two of them are now bowing together before the Prince Imperial and the Louwahkutapaht, the Emperor handing his brother the ceremonial sword, and the famous Gamic singer handing the Louwahkutapaht her artistically-designed bouquet of Khwint roses, as is tradition at Grandian royal weddings. Now the sword and roses have been placed on the altar, the King-Emperor and soon-to-be Queen-Empress, who are still kneeling, holding each other's hand, while reaching out with their other hand to touch the bouquet and sword, respectively. They are now about to take their vows of fealty to the nation, and to each other.

5 pointsPark Tower Apartments Okay guys, I have added the trees and the bushes on the ground floor again, all I have to do on this model is fix the cutains on the other sides of the building re-texture the HVAC unit, decrease the reflection on the small roof junks, make new rail for the front of the building by scratch again, texture the garage area and do the night lights not the windows, I did that back in 2011 around august I think. I have to add direct lights and a few omnies here and there. I hope you guys like the glass texture now, I tried my best to fix it the best way I can, oh yea and do not mine the black lines on the faced of the building I will remove them.

5 pointsI've been doing a little more work on the grounds. Everything, including the flora, is still a work in progress, but you should get the general idea. I think I kinda went a little overboard modelling some of the restaurant furniture... I'm at the point now where I'm starting to blur the lines between making stuff for SC4 and making stuff for production renders. I guess every bit of modelling practice helps too!

5 pointsBeen busy... going slow but here is a close scale how it will look in game, the actual scale is real life scale (not yet stretched to 125% 133%), this is an interesting building due its angles and shapes that made me study for hours its design by looking many pictures including bird eye... also been working with glass, note the reflections are plain gray still to make the reflection panel of the city.

5 pointsTaking another look at this download, I would have made some big changes. The model itself is OK (though I would say get rid of that sign and move the letters to being at the base kind of like those plastic models) and I would completely redo the landscaping. I would have done something like this:

So what Union should I pick, AIN, USNW or stay Unionless? Please help me

4 points24. Pine Harbor Welcome back folks! Today we cautiously peek over the edge of the crater near Pine Hill Park. 1. approaching the harbor (north is down and to the left) 2. Java Hut; because the Ring of Fire, just like the real Pacific Northwest, runs on coffee. Also, the tunnel used to access the small harbor. The terrain is far too steep to ram a road up the side of the cliff. 3. Pine Hill's houses have a view of the air facilities. 4. They also have a view of the boathouses. 5. Some even have a view of rocks. I still can't get over how detailed Lowkee's terrain is. Just look at those textures! 6. The air facilities. 7. The old breakwater, with the air facilities now filling in the backside. It may be a lake but it's large enough winds kick up significant whitecaps. 8. There's none of those to bug the pilots today though. 9. Boating facilities. 10. The boat launch and yacht club. 11. The marina. 12. Zooming out on the harbor. 13. There's a viewpoint precariously situated above the harbor. It's a 233 meter drop to the water below (assuming falling objects manage to bounce through the trees) 14. It has the sparse vegetation characteristic of the higher elevation. 15. And finally a mosaic. The harbor as viewed from the viewpoint. That's all for this week. Thanks again for stopping by! If you also follow my CJ on simpeg and are wondering where the rest of this update went, don't worry it'll be here next week. I split it to try and control the length a bit. As always your comments are most welcome; please leave them below, and if you feel like it rate and +1. @everyone; 20,000 pageviews! Thank you all for watching! You guys give me the motivation to keep on going. @ten trillion, SimcityFuturist, TS_Venture, folokashi, Vlasky; Thank you all very, very much for your kind words. Detail is what I strive for, and how the new terrain mod lets me do more with less is absolutely phenomenal. @csxt602; Thanks! as grstudios points out, it is indeed Heblem's sands. They are absolutely a perfect tool for paths and the like. @grstudios: Thank you, sir! But I feel I have to point out that Marsh and Yan are the real MMP masters; my work isn't quite up to the bar they set yet. You'll notice that both Corsica and Gansaabi/Sandalwood do some things that I haven't yet. And sadly I don't make a living from these skills: I live in America, where we don't have jobs and you can only start something of your own if someone will just hand you money. lol.

4 points23. Pine Hill Park Welcome back everyone! This time we jump back up to the Crater Lake area. From our last tile here-Scott Bluff-we head east to the tile of Pine Hill. Pine Hill is a largely agricultural tile which I'm using to shamelessly build commercial demand for the next tile north of it; sunrise point. This one is still under construction but today I just wanted to show off the 'park'- which is really just my MMP playground since I'm still gushing over Lowkee's terrain. I promised you all flora on top of the new terrain, so that's what we'll see today with a little nature hike. 01. Off the Crater Lake Highway is the parking lot for the park. It has a loop trail around Pine Hill. Yes, there's actually a couple tiles of buildings in this flora update. 02. Starting off on our trail. This high area of the eastern cascades has a drier climate than what we've seen so far to the south and west of here. The forests tend more towards pine with little undergrowth, and large areas are covered by grasses and lichens instead of the temperate jungle found at lower elevations. 03. The trees are sparser in the drier climate too. 04. And more rocks poke out of the groundcover. 05. The trail drops down into grassy areas. Once this part of the hill was logged but not replanted so it turned to wild pasture. 06. Smaller trees and shrubs have established themselves where there is runoff. 07. Some of the rockier terrain textures poking through. 08. On the rockier and more barren NE slope of the hill. 09. More rocks, this time all the way down to zoom 6. 10. More of the awesomely detailed ground texture. How much of that grassy space do you suppose is MMPs? 11. Not much. 12. Just some of nbvc's rocks, a touch of Heblems sand and Yucatan flora MMP, with a light sprinkling of giraffe's bushes and VIP pampas grass. 13. Small Firs on the edge of the wooded areas. 14. Hey look! wildflowers 15. More wildflowers 16. Looping back around towards the parking lot. 17. The trail comes alongside the road again. A couple of small rocky hills in the foreground. 18. On the road north. 19. The rocky embankment along a curve in the road. 20. flora along the road out. 21. Overview of the Park. (ahem. ignore the blue stripe in the top left, the shoreline is completed now but not when i took these) Thanks for stopping by everyone! I hope you enjoyed the trip. Remember you can always leave your thoughts below in the comments, and if you want feel free to rate and +1. Next time we'll see the small communities of Pine Hill. Hmm....seems those banners are still the same. Note to self: update those. Anyways, onward! @ten trillion: Thanks! He sure did, and I hope the results meet your expectations. @harrythecat: That's kind of the idea since I was showcasing a terrain mod. @emperordaniel: Me too. I'm having a hard time getting over how good the terrain textures look. I just want to flora, not zone! @avrelivs, waterclaw: always be sure to check the readme. It shouldn't be that hard to find out what file is conflicting. @Shulmanator, gugu3: Thank you, kind sirs! But lowkee really deserves the credit for the awesome textures and mod. @Kruness: sadly i don't even think it's possible to make a seasonal terrain mod.

A big thank to Quesh for being in backstage each time I need flora icons And a special thank to Yann for giving me awesome pictures of Corsica for illustrating the parasol pines. I developed different pics however I don't know which one to choose for the LEX, so up to you to choose which one you prefer : 1 2 3 4 5 6 2 fabulous pictures from Corsica by Yann:

4 pointsWelcome everyone to a brand new region of mine. In this quick introduction I'll show you the burbs, the downtown area, and other stuff. Let me show you a quick couple of pics, to give you an idea of how I have built this region... So that's the gist of the region... next update we'll be getting better introduced to the CBD of Meisterville.

Thank You for the Continued Support!
Simtropolis depends on donations to fund site maintenance costs.
Without your support, we just would not be in our 24th year online! You really help make this a great community.
But we still need your support to stay online. If you're able to, please consider a donation to help us stay up and running. This helps sustain a platform where we can share our community creations for years to come.
Expand your city with the best from the Simtropolis Exchange.
Make a Donation and get one or all three discs today!
By way of a "Thank You" gift, we'd like to send you our STEX Collector's DVD. It's some of the best buildings, lots, maps and mods collected for you over the years. Check out the STEX Collections for more info.
Each donation helps keep Simtropolis online, open and free!
Thank you for reading and enjoy the site!
