Hi guys where can i find this terrain mod

14168959770_91d24cec2f_c.jpg

It looks like the Heblem's Californian terrain mod, in a medium (~100 meters) altitude plateau, but I'm not sure.

So, I installed the PEG-MTP Fire Station and I seem to be missing Prop 0x073D4582. (I do have the required PEG-MTP Super Pack dependency.)

How do I find it?

I use this fire station, too, but I don't have the graphical glitch underneath it. Just tested it in one of my cities. When I open it in Lot Editor there is the glitch. Weird.
In my plugins I have these dependencies:

PEG_MTP_SUPER_RESOURCE_PACK.dat
PEG_MTP_SUPER_TEXTURES_PACK.dat

The fire truck looks like the ugly Maxis fire truck though. Unfortunately I don't know, where to get this prop. Well, I am going to change it for me anyway and replace it
with a better looking fire truck... *:)

Edit: You'll find that "missing" prop in one exemplar file when you open the PEG-MTP_FireStation_205.dat in iLive's Reader. The whole lot configuration looks kinda weird though with 4 exemplar files in it and a second exemplar file with a different instance ID. It's the one with the 0x073d477e. I need to straighten that up... *;)

Kind regards!

My first thought is that the missing "prop" is not a prop, but the shadow of the fire engine. A missing prop shows either nothing or a brown box. When you see this texture, that means a model is referencing a texture that is not installed.

Technically this isn't a prop, since it's an S3D model. A quick look at the S3D shows three linked textures, the last of which is located in CSX Mega Props Vol3 or Vol4. Either of these dependencies are required, even though it's not mentioned in the documentation.

Also, I think 0x073d477e is probably from the One Flag Many Nations mod. If you have it installed, you see a flag. If you don't have it, then it simply doesn't appear, no harm done. This is clearly noted in the documentation. The mod by PEG is on the PLEX on the STEX, I think that it requires a Maxis add-on, dayofpeace.dat as a cascading dependency, but don't quote me on that.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

Here's what I managed to do on my own:

^ Which is a wee bit better, but still unsatisfactory. (I grabbed the 0x2C9E000 --- RW3X9X3_FireEngine_2C9E --- Tombstone from Exemplar CV19x15_DeluxeFireStation_8C8423E3 in BldGroup_Vol1.Dat.)

Ah. Thanks! I'll find those, drop them in my Plugins, and see if that fixes it. Btw, what data let you know those would be the one(s) I'd need? Something in the file or from your vast knowledge?

Using an application by Tropod, SC4Reader. When it loads data such as an S3D model, it will scan your entire plugins suite for the referenced objects. You can then use this information to look up what part comes from where. So the firetruck textures themselves are from SimCity_2.dat, but the shadow texture comes from the CSX prop packs.

This method only works though if you have all the referenced data installed. Otherwise the referenced texture/prop etc can not be identified, you can only see the ID. Once I knew the missing texture was part of an S3D model, finding the source of the problem was easy. But knowing where that texture came from, if I didn't happen to have the dependency in my plugins suite, that could have been difficult to determine.

I'll see if I can find that. So far I have SC4Tool, iLive Reader, and the Lot Editor itself.

^ Bold added. Ok. That's cool then. I've just started getting content as well as learning what and how things play with each other. If there was something I overlooked, I'd want to learn that too so I don't have to keep bugging peeps. *;)

So, it was indeed CSX MEGA Props - Vol03 (v1.0) that fixed the problem:

SC4 Reader - Very useful tool, does some things a lot better than iLives reader because it can dynamically load your plugins suite.

Thanks. I already found the thread, downloaded it and the vcredist_x86.exe. Btw, Tropod says it needs the mfc.dll from that. Is that all I need of the Visual C++ thinger?

You're welcome. :)

Btw, all I did was c & p your exact phrase Japanese Highway Walls  into google and it brought it right up. (This is especially handy if links to dependencies are borked from the previous site upgrades.) ;)

Can't honestly remember, I think I either just installed it or possibly I already had it installed. It's reasonably common, I've so many SC4 applications, it's hard to keep track!

No I hadn't, but then I tend to stick with what works where software is concerned. I'll get round to it eventually no doubt. But both iLives Reader and this application are still being maintained.

There was a patch over at SimPeg to fix that ... I don't think it was on the PLEX otherwise it would be over in the PLEX missing files (I'll add it later, but in the meantime I'll try and attach it to this post, also the MAXIS files are all available here

Yo, guys --

I've been looking for a tall, thin, tree for my city.

Can anyone tell me if these (the light green trees) are Aspens -- or White Birch, maybe -- ??

And where can I find this particular one -- ??

It is an MMP, right  ??

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

I'm looking for the Gobias Water Mods, he deleted everything, so if someone has them pls PM me, thx.

If Gobias deleted the files, then that indicated he did not want them shared. I believe there is a thread about this, and any sharing possibilities on SC4D, but for obvious reasons, I can't link that now.

If I remember correctly the outcome of it, was a 'nothing can be done' resolution.

It is also against custom to share files privately without the original authors permission.

I'm really sorry, but your stuck. There is no way for you to get them.
