Im getting the most recent version of the NAM now, I didnt see much else of that mod after the cul de sacs, is there a mod that only changes the street appearance to dark that does not require dependencies?

Looks like the NAM has what I probably need, I will figure it out...

One more thing, are there any custom lots of buildings from the Super Nintendo version of SimCity? In particular the library, always loved that one.

I don't really understand. What was the bunch of things what you didn't want to. The linked mod, will replace your original grey street textures to the black textures to match with the road/AVE/OWR textures (as the description says). Also it's a texture colour swap between the SAM-7 (street addon mod - dark asphalt street version) and the general street. It does NOT do anything with your roads, it changes only the streets.

Well I got streets and roads mixed up before, that created some confusion, as for the mod it wasnt making anything other than the intersection appear with the asphalt texture, as well as the cul de sac. Downloading the latest version of NAM did everything I wanted, it had been a few years since I played so Im up to date now.

I am looking for a file that seems to be dynamically increasing the number of jobs I have in my cities. Anyone happen to know what they are called?

I want to delete them from my plugins

So I'm trying to design my fictional country's capital.

Are there any simple, non-intrusive 1x1 lots I can use to power and water my cities? I've been googling for a bit and the most I can find are very small town lots with only like 100 khws 100 gallons.

You can pick your favorite for each of those and then increase the power or water capacity using Reader. *;)

I'm also not sure on a specific example of 1x1 Utility lots, but just to add another option...

The LEProp is a tool which allows the properties of lots to be edited in a dedicated user interface.


Such as in the Water & Power option:

Here as an example, I've set the "Power Generated" and the "Water Produced" values to 250000 units. This would combine both into the one multi-purpose lot, and then using the option to display the Power query for it. I don't believe it'd display shared info if checking both, so I just went with the one.

Once clicking OK to accept the values, on the main page just remember to click Apply and then the Save DAT button to write the changes to file.


For advanced modding capability, the Reader is certainly the way to go though if you'd prefer to learn it. There's a nice tutorial here as @Tropod wrote.

There´s the Business doubler and the Industry quadrupler. As I see those figures it must be the first as you use a lot of commercial lots !

there's a so called "Funland Video Arcade" here, but that's more a video game store:

Actually, I believe that's based on a UK-Style Arcade, very common around the Sea Side in the UK. But such generic stores can often be used pretty flexibly.

Your problem sounds like a classic load order problem. The mod by Tarkus would have come with very clear instructions on which folder to use in Plugins. That folder MUST load after z___NAM, ideally use a folder name that starts with z____, that's four underscores following the z.

It's also important to ensure you've no other conflicting mods installed, which might revert your changes. Anything else that changes the look of Streets can potentially cause problems here.

In short, Streets are Grey and Roads are Black. This mod makes the streets match the road. When you say the latest NAM does everything you want, assuming you wanted Black Streets, then upgrading NAM wouldn't have altered anything here. NAM does not come with a mod to make the Streets Black. Yes, by using the SAM feature, SAM 7 will create Black Streets, but SAM sets have much more limited support than the regular streets. This is precisely why the additional Mod exists, in fact many people have requested such over the years. This mod can optionally replace the SAM 7 textures with the regular Grey Streets, since if you use the Black Streets, you might as well make use of the spare SAM slot.

Thank you, very gladd you could on yourself find what the problem mod was ! iHt fix takes care of abscence of jobs in Ht sector, also very usefull .

The arcade is a great lot, it was another building by Madhatter that gave me the idea of a video store, I might try to make some lots, is there a program everyone uses for them?

Modern Railferry terminal ..!

Some days ago I saw a picture of Korver or any other medium, large picture poster of a Modern Railferry Terminal. Searching through Show what you are working, CBD and Korver picture post I haven´t found it back. Terminal is like the Modern Carferry terminal but instead of square there a circle like open roof in the the same style.

 

WMP are nice for some countryside look, railferries are rather old still you have some around the baltic sea between Sassnitz and Trelleborg and some other nations like Finland, Estland and Sicilia and the Italian mainland. Probably I saw the picture on a japanese site not certain, this week I haven´t vistited those I beliefe so that´s a less likely. What this one is about is more a modern variation, like the ModernCarferry terminal, look like, prakticaly there´s only room for a shorth suburban train, wich imagnably still got a reasonable stretch route across a non-bridgable or in any other way reachable other side of the waterway still the need there for a rail ferry !

Hope anyone has aswell seen this BAT or someone may like the idea creating something similair, because those WMP rail ferries are a little bit out of time !
