SimFox is prominent in  this thread. But in general - if you would do a statistics about finished vs. unfinished bats, maybe it would discover that there are more unfinished bats announced in the forums then finished bats on the STEX.

Sadly - I'm afraid it's the same with this.

I just posted this image from Fasan's Krokanien https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=16683.40 on another thread, for another reason, but now I need to know if the dam / weir is custom content or if it is available somewhere? I have PEG's small hydro dam but this one is too cute for words.

Secondly the two brick, offset warehouses NW of that lot I am sure I have somewhere but would love to know the name of if anyone could be so kind.

@korver ahh the river project that intimidates me :) Not sure i'll take the plunge on it, but then again.... I did have the warehouses but had forgotten the name, thank you muchly!

OK so took myself over to SC4D for the JRP files. I have downloaded a core pack, 2 add-on packs (one was the link I followed mentioned above by @korver) and also 5 different prop packs. Does anyone have any special knowledge about installing these lots as it looks quite complex, a couple of the download pages at SC4D seem to refer to updated versions but links are broken and I dont want to miss anything.

Yo know -- this looks just like the kind of stuff I could use to make the earthen dikes found along the North Sea coast !!  Those curved portions would conform nicely to the natural curves used in the dike designs.

If you would -- kindly keep me posted if you find any problems with installing these or in their use.  I had enough problems trying to figure out how to use the "Paris Canal" embankments to last me for a while.

A thought just occurred to me -- are these only for "plop water" -- or could they be blended (no doubt with great difficulty).

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

@Dreadnought These JRP bits are for plop water I think, are not for game water. The water texture is AFAIK part of the lots, I think they are quite similar to the PEG canals or the BSC canals in that regard, rather than a 'seawall set' like the quais de seine which work with gamewater, and some other seawall sets which will only place when half in water.

If its those quais de seine than you want to use, they are actually much easier than you imagine when you know how, partly because you can place it wherever you want and the only limitations on it are that the bits are on flat land (totally flat land) 'on top' of the lot, otherwise you get a 'stepping' effect. I'm more than happy to give a few tips if I can, if you check out my last CJ entry i've made quite (very) liberal use of them both in gamewater and away from it and I'm more than happy to give some pointers if I can.

In fact the JRP doesn't need special install procedures, is just copying and pasting files. The only detail is that some dependencies override older ones, but is just following simple instructions on the readmes. Ah, and to check if you want to use the MML menus or not (easier option is not, so don't copy the files with MML in the name)

@MissVanleider

Thank you for the information.  I knew they looked too good to be true.  I have seen them somewhere before, but may have had the notion that they were "plopwater" and hence, steered clear of them.

Unless I get really brave and decide to try to convert the lots to game water -- I think I will leave them be.  Right now, my attention is totally devoted to the MMP landscaping of a VERY large map tile.  Very time-consuming -- but somehow quite satisfying.

Thanx, again --

So last time i got a quick answer on here so here i am trying again. I think this one will be a bigger ask. I am looking for 'bridges' to use with mmp water. They are hard to search for because they arent really bridges in any functional sense.

The only ones i have are for PEG pond water (some bridges which are a bit too cutsey) as well as some culverts. All of these have the peg water as part of the model so are quite hard to repurpose to use with mmp water. If anyone knows where any of the below examples or any similar are, please let me know.

Photos again from Fasans Krokanien.

Its not my picture but i know for sure that the terrain is pyrenian (thats spelt awfully) and i suspect the MMP is 'feather grass' but its a guess, Fasan is a master so it might be a building that he relotted to look like grass...

Not a texture, but as MissVanleider says, it's Feather Rye Grass MMP, part of the RRP Pasture Flora pack. Of all people Dreadnought, you must have this pack, it's essential for players that paint the terrain. I linked you to this a while back, perhaps you forgot you have it?

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

Got you covered, my man.

I thought it was rye grass -- but it looked so much better in the picture, I wasn't sure.

Yes -- I've got it.  Been using the RRP stuff quite a lot lately -- a bunch of experimentation -- but haven't gotten around to that one yet  (Now I'm itching to give it a run !)

Ok so my last request was a bit tough, and nobody has been able to help so far. I'm sure this one must be just as difficult but here goes

1) looking for a Japanese Canal Bat. No, not the JRP, not the Moonlight canals, but one, AFAIK totally nonfunctional lot that doesn't connect with anything. I think it is something to do with Gurry (of Gurry Seawalls) but I can't find anywhere to download it. Sure I have seen it used in pictures though so if anyone knows what its called or if there is a copy on Simcity China or something... Anyway, here is a picture of the lot from Gurry's blog. (the one on the left).

1e91bf43.jpg

EDIT. FOUND SECOND THING. IT IS XANNEPAN WALLS. // Second thing is something which i'm sure must exist as I have seen it a long time ago in Fasan's Krokanien, although no doubt has been customised is this castle wall, especially this section with the gatehouse for the road.

db20fc8e1efb3045450c75105391efa4.jpg

The reason I think it must exist is here is a differently chopped up, edited version of surely the same castle wall in the foreground of this picture by Manga Rivotra.

I've been playing an internet detective for awhile trying to figure this out.

 http://simcityedit.com/simedit/lev-bbs.cgi?bid=SC4=log2-2&skin=skin/config/=/simedit/skin/config/&style=1&page=3&ppid=1170810713418479#1170810713418479

I've seen this lot many times in different screenshots but could never find it and after looking around I found that it and some other nice bats was hosted on this site:

http://www3.ocn.ne.jp/~no6081/

Like most Japanese mod sites its since been deleted but major props to anyone who can find download links or share their own files they downloaded from it.

Unless you get lucky and find one uploaded in SimcityChina you might struggle to find. They are a very good rock. @Simmer2 has a nice set of bedrock and sands he just released and there are a lot of nice rocks already out there

To add to @MissVanleider suggestion.....there are a lot more rocks on my horizon. Dozens more as a matter of fact, all in due time of course *:yes:

Translate the text right above that picture, and you'll find the following sentence;

You could try to send a polite PM to Heblem about his rocks.. He is still active around the community (last logged in to ST about a week ago)

and

Warning; these are dependency packs! Other buildings in your city may need these files to function! Be careful if you remove these files!!

@Yarahi Ahhh thanks for the link to the wmp causeway. I think you are probably right about the suburban JRP canals as well, although all this time i had no idea there was a version of it on the LEX.

Speaking of Japanese content, does anyone have a working link to Kazuki's 'Street Stall V2'? - (Or indeed know the filename so i can see if SC china did its thing for simcity herritage) - I am after the props as much as the actual lots (although the lots would be fab too) so if anyone knows if these are actually in some other prop pack, a pointer to which prop pack would be lovely.

Link to kazuki's old page so you can see a picture of what i'm talking about:

@MissVanleider & @matias93  ...

The props are a mix of Maxis and Gascooker's. However, I've seen enough people looking for kazuki's that I decided to start working on my own version. They should be out within the week. Feel free to give any suggestions too! *;)
