I think one of the problems with LnX's pic is that there isn't really anything to focus on. Your eye just kind of wanders.

I do contraire, with a bit of editing magic, I came up with this,

 

Great Picture Ln X, love that path winding through the marshes,

So hard to choose between them, Ln X shows a fantastic rural scene with an incredibly varried range of plants, but Borg captures the feeling of a small rural town. So hard, but with the attention to detail by including fences in borgs image I'll have to go with that.

Yeah but that is changing the parameters of the contest by creating a whole new picture. You could improve a lot of pictures with editing magic, it doesn't change the fact that Ln X's picture as originally presented lacked focus imo.

Ire's pic is just so close to realism, the layout looks very good. And about Ln X, almost the whole picture is based on the Philadelphia City Hall, though I don't find so much city building skill in your pic (Doesn't matter if it has been plopped or not)

Both pictures are pretty good, but I think Ln X's looks a bit empty and cold. I think a few low rises and some photo editing to make it brighter would help. For this one, I'll go with IRE505's image.
