I am reworking the silverlake bridge. I am working on a realistic way for the bridge to connect on the land at each end. I will post a pic soon. Seeing the original version is not doing so well in the contest.

Love the stone bridge replaced the old one with a new bridge that looks to be stronger and the connection at this end is a bit better than my last attempt.

Silver%20Lake-Feb.%202%20081470947677.pn

this end while connecting with the land is better still a bit of a steep grade .. The train tracks bridge looks better for the connection at the land...

@Mary Maurine Mayo I think I like your first choice of bridge better , the second one looks much more challenging to navigate a sea vessel through . Unless you have an alternate route for water traffic . They both are interesting visually . And as DavidDHetzel said , a slope mod could be of great value visually as well .

The sea port will go on the other side of the rail bridge as this side leads to a dead end. the other side emptys out into the next city block.

I have always had mixed thoughts about using these old Maxis rewards -- and here is yet another attempt to make the Minor League soccer field look a bit more realistic.

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

I've been looking for a place to use this lot (like a bunch of other stuff I downloaded).  I probably should have put it on top of a much higher hill -- but it's up about 60 meters above sea level.  The theory is that it was built many years ago and the city has continued to grow around it.  It still has a nice view out over the modern commercial district and the marina district along the boardwalk.  It's also a little enclave of wilderness in the big city.  Again -- the filler lots have gone a long way to "polish" what was already a nice lot.

Yo --

I don't have a link to the site -- but the name suggests it's the Polish site.  "SimPolska" -- ???  (I thinks that's it.  It's been a long time since I downloaded it.)

If anyone has the link, it would be a great help to Matias.

Though, it looks done; you can; if you zoom in closer see I still got to touch up dependencies, fill in empty spaces, and finish areas around downtown and get new buildings, so that the downtown area isn't all housing and the businesses focused purely on main street. It when finished, will be a small city of about 15,000~ people to be featured in a future CJ when it's completed,  inspired heavily by Southern U.S. cities like; Mobile, Houma, Biloxi-Gulfport, and other smaller cities; it's maybe about 75% done as you see now.

After not playing the game for almost three months, I decided to make a couple bridges. It took me 3 hours to get the heights and approaches of these bridges right. I guess I'm a little rusty with the game now.

XRax_Update.png

todays project. This is an update to the original XRax houses I lost the original model so I had to make a new one. This Model since I am fond of chineys and fireplaces I added one the deck is larger and I also gave this one a front steps. I have 4 windows left to do and some light fixtures then I can start adding textures.. I found that the originals that were posted a while back on the stex were not seated right preventing me from adding flora close to the house. and making it compleately unuseable. so I rebuildt it from the ground up. I will be adding  a garage to this model like the prev ones. Another work in progress so any comment are welcome..

Hello all.

Here is a new project for everyone to enjoy. Coming soon to a screen near you  :D
The whole project is designed to be MMP friendly. You can use anything as base (as you can see from the pics)
No base texture for maximum flexibility and of course you are not going to have the infamous water bug with these lots.

I call it SM2 Aqueduct (Big water pipe). However you can use it to simulate the transportation of any fluid if you wish. It is a 2 meter wide pipeline.

I have 18 pieces already made. Here is a list.

1) Straight
2) Straight variation2
3) Diagonal
4) Diagonal variation2
5) 90 degree bend
6) T
7) Cross

8 ) Straight overhang
9) Diagonal overhang
10) Diagonal to straight right
11) Diagonal to straight left
12) Diagonal to straight Y right
13) Diagonal to straight Y left
14) 2 pipe pump house (pressure booster)
15) 3 pipe pump house (pressure booster)
16) Underground
17) 1 tile bridge (overhang)
18) 2 tile bridge (overhang)

this is an update on the project I have been working on for the last few days. finally finished.. soon to be rendered....

this is an update to the old XRAX houses that we did way back when I found that they were not rendered properly so I rebuilt the model from the ground up.

WORK IN PROGRESS --

THE JADE BIGHT --

WILHELMSHAVEN:

(Click to make bigger.)

This started out as a simple re-lot of Paeng's old Newman Inc. Chemical Plant.  The idea was to change it from a dirty industry (of which I have too many in the city) -- to a manufacturing industry.  Some serious changes to the lot files did the trick since I can't seem to locate the model files anywhere.  (They must be there somewhere, just can't single them out.)  The actual lot was just fine -- very nice work (though the zoom flags appear to be wrong since it disappears at max zoom out).

Q9Vuuzt.jpg

But then I decided it needed fleshing out with some custom filler lots.  I added a parking lot in front.  Also --  a custom lot for a metering facility and stuck it in there -- as well as re-lotting a couple of T-Wrecks' IRM filler lots.  And when I saw the final "footprint" for the industry, I bumped up the number of jobs to compensate for the loss of space.  You have two views, and another one of the general neighborhood.
