The bridge has grown again and a few new buildings have been added.
The small parish church "St. Paul on the Bridge" even has a "lift" for the faithful who come by boat. But you have to be very faithful to use it.... *;)

@tariely So you only noticed once I set the graphics settings to everything high, huh!

I'm using the Gobias Berner Oberland terrain mod, designed specifically to recreate the European Alps. Additionally, I also use MGB's terrain-matching grass to complement the mod.

And in case the tree mod is contributing to the looks, I'm also using the Meadowshire River Tree Mod by Cycledogg:

A new small town I'm working on, named Mermaid Town. The challenge here is to build a city that follows the landscape of its area and still provides as many amenities as possible with the lowest environmental footprint possible. This means no power plants based on fossil fuel, few to no low-tech industries, no out-of-place layouts, as many parks and mass transit options as possible, and no excessive terraforming. Obviously there is a lot of work to be done.

"If you try to please everybody, you often times end up pleasing nobody, especially yourself. When somebody offers to do a favor for free, like making a mod for SimCity 4, you shouldn't be overly critical of something generously given to you. In other words, you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth." - Twilight Sparkle after playing SimCity

"Being a mayor or a content creator for SimCity 4 is a heavy responsibility, Patrick. Each city and each custom content is like a child, and must be treated as such." - SpongeBob Squarepants after playing SimCity

@Dreadnought Someone with BATing skills like myself maybe :8)I just made two fort pieces and a filler lot for that (and I also modified Ferox lots), but I'm quite excited with doing some more of these as the side project it started as, and why not, some gun turrets in a Maginot (concrete) style or something older and more accurate mixed with what I showed here (the textures I used are from a fort built in 1874, following a doctrine that was the more modern in france around 1870 to 1880 I think, and some of these already had gun turrets from which I could get some inspiration. As well as insane steel drawbridges on steel wheels :ohyes:).

...So I may lead this to a small pack that could be decent enough to be shared.

Yo, Krasner -- !

Did you ever go anywhere with this idea ??

I'm still looking for some coastal gun emplacements like the ones on Heligoland, circa 1900......

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !
