Yeah, I know what you want to mean. And you are right. Honestly i haven't payed much attention to room distribution because i was more focused on giving a realistic ilusion more than making it realistic. But the true is that one room is illuminated or not but not both at the same time isn't it? lol *:D

Ok i'm going to correct it. Thanks dude

Oh okay. Sorry for going overboard, lol. To be fair, I don't think it's all that noticeable, and I certainly wouldn't pick it up if I was just browsing past the building in the game.

I'm probably being way too picky about this stuff, anyways. My brain is swamped with all of the BAT tutorials I've been reading the past few weeks.

While I'm working on some more airport lots to tie in with what advanced users might use, I've made a second in the D.I.Y. Skyscraper buildings.

These components (base middle and upper)

are assembled to become this:

(Note this lot is a diagonal overhanging DIY Skyscraper in the brutalist style)

I've also made a standard corner lot (which, in this case is 10 floors taller using the self-assembly method in the lot editor)

I have problem with Flann Building

I have made as building the base and the top as prop but I have problem to  join the two part. I see a Zig zag line

A few WIP BATs for a new Tokyo update I'm just about done with (lots more done, but you'll see that in the update). No nightlights yet unfortunately, but once I add those, do further modeling and texturing tweaks as well as the modding I'll try to release on the STEX.

This one is inspired by one of the so-called Tenements from the base game of cities skylines

Have you tried using it in the game to see if you have the same problem? The lot editor sometimes has visual glitches that only appear in the lot editor.

I get the same zig-zag effect in the PIM-X lot editor when I use custom foundations as props. But when the lots are in the game, they look perfectly fine.

If you try the building out in the game and you still have a problem, I would assume you have a problem with the LODs. If you're making a multi-part building, the LODs need to be as tight as possible where the parts connect.

Agree with the above. Cool railyard @Simmer2, I'll be sure to grab it once it's out (it's a WIP as of today, right?).

The "SimCity 4" vanilla Opera House is the most evil thing in existence. Avoid.

@The British Sausage

I was hoping you would answer my query!! *:D

Your style is very much what I had in mind -- but with a bit less MMP work, more strategically placed on the map.  The focus is, after all, the naval base -- but I would like to make my mountain scenery reasonably authentic.

The snaps you posted will go a long way to making that possible.

THANK YOU very much for coming to my rescue, old son!

"Keep calm and CARRY ON!"

With the ARDEN tree controller it can at times do all the MMP work for you.

Also: "Keep calm and BUILD ON!"

how? how? how in the hell does one create such a masterpiece using ploppables in sc4? is there some secret controller or something that will generate such beauty?

I use the Sudden Valley terrain mod and the ARDEN tree controller for the scenery. I then compliment this with a lot of bush, flower and rock MMPs; this process takes hours and hours.

That looks amazing, please more of that style. Say, have you experimented with prop families yet? For example to render the building 3d model with several different textures then put them as props as a family so when ever you plop that lot a different textured buildings appears randomly? Also, that roof tar stripe texture looks really crisp, well done.
