Working on a few lots just for the fun of it, and maybe others will enjoy it also. It stated out as a training center for electrical workers, and evolved into this... The field training school kicked my but for a little bit trying to convert it to a collage, but I prevailed. I also made a simple urban version for hitting the books. Both collages has its own unique attributes. Now, although some shadows are incorporated into the textures, I'm fully aware that the models look flat and cannot compete with standard BATs in that respect. So I accept any and all criticism about that. Another drawback is that this method doesn't allow for underground sections like basements as there are obviously no LODs. Also, no nightlights! However for *my own personal needs* the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. Namely:
1) These models are low-poly and take up waaay less HD space than BATs. All the ones you see + mirrored versions + colour variations + hedges and walls props + DESC files + LOT files ALL contained in a 1 MB file. ONE MB! Unbelievable. My hard disk is grateful.
2) I can easily edit, mirror, rotate the models with immediate results without waiting for any exporting process.
3) The textures don't get blurred by exporting and remain crisp at big zoom levels, a pleasure to watch. Here are some pictures of my houses in action, including diagonals with relative hedges, walls, and bases.

As you can see I am using the S3D models in game and loving it despite their "flatness". Nonetheless in case anyone wishes to import them into Max to export them as proper BATs, so they can be used by the community, I am open to sharing them. Please note, I personally don't have the BAT set and am NOT going to download it at any time so if anyone wants to convert these into BATs all I'm going to do is provide the models as they are. I think I'll make more as the thought of having dozens and dozens of different row houses in a bunch of MB is too enticing to resist. 
 

This is really, really cool and interesting! I know BadSim over on SC4D has accomplished some pretty amazing stuff with props and flora without every touching the BAT program, but outside of some pre-BAT experiments from the olden days, I'm not sure I've seen this done with buildings. Going to be hard to resist the temptation of trying this myself.

Truth be told..... I have been ignoring your request for quite some time with hope that you'd open up this can of worms.

I think your models look fantastic, work really well in their setting, and are honestly better executed than anything I could have made for you.

Especially the diagonals---I would download those in a second.

However, this file is no longer available.
The infoseek isweb (hosting server) used by the author, S.K., has been closed down, and his DL site has also disappeared.
The sites of many Japanese BAT creators have disappeared due to the closure of their hosting servers.
It is very sad...

I knew, that I got that station from somewhere. S.K (Komnaz_SK) creations have been available via a onedrive folder for years. I think that one drive link was already shared somewhere either on SC4D or here on ST, but I put it here again. It would be actually helpfull if one/more of our Japanese members, who still knows the links for the old sites or alternative availabilities help us re-collect those links. I would go further of course, and while many of these creations are considered as lost items because their original sites were left abandoned and without support and the links became dead, I'm assuming that many members actually have some kind of collections of these lost itmes, and it would be great to preserve them in some form. Even if that means outside of the exchanges via cloud drives (onedrive, drop box, google drive etc...).

Yeap, the smart_speeder ones, it was requested a few years ago in the CFI thread again.

Thanks for the SC4D link with those military plane links. Checking the list and the files what I have, I believe all of those Tabinohito fighters are/will be available soonish. I have them (some of them can be found on SC4D LEX too), and thanks to @CaptCity (who provided the original model+desc combos) I was able to rebuild the prop packs (which can be found on LEX) in a better way, so the model names can be seen in PIM-X in the future. Still don't know when the Project ZIP will be in a stage when we start updating the stuffs on LEX, but with that one, probably the full collection of TABI's props will be covered (well, at least what we are awere of).

Try opening a new file and merging this lot into the new one, it has worked for me when it has failed to open files before...

I tried running as administrator and I also tried merging, none of that work so I just started over from scratch.

I have only completed the front of the church and it’s already at almost a million poly count. So I’m going to have to do multiple models for the building. I also want to night light it, that was the point of making real stained glass.
 

What do y’all think is the best way to get night lights when the building is just a facade?

I would. A Wehrmacht cross or Hammer and Sickle (or both) would be nice too. I've lot-ed your cannons, but am not much good at transit- enabling. Like to be able to attach it to tracks.

Ok, maybe I'll add them in the future. Now what worries me is that I have created a very complex but necessary folder system that I regret. I mean, it takes me a long time to organize the plugins so that I can compress it into a .zip file.

I really don't know what to do, I don't know why it occurred to me to divide my Plugins into country folders.

Yo, guy --

It's been my hard-earned experience that too many folders are really unnecessary -- and in the case of SC4 -- it slows down the game while your processor reads through all of them. 

It can also cause problems because it adds length to the "file path" -- which upsets the Windows system no end (especially when you try to do "back-up duties").

I have a rather simple system.  CIVIC lots go in one folder -- statues go in another folder -- etc, etc.  Inside the folder, there is another file for "Statue_AGC_Jan Zamoyski_Equestrian".

I've noticed that your published work comes in a main folder with four or five folders inside -- one of which actually has the lot/prop files.  That type of "filing" system just takes up time and space.

It will take you a long time -- probably -- but now is the time to eliminate ALL the unnecessary folders and set up a system divided into "categories" with alphabetical arrangement inside the folder.  (My humble opinion -- though the plugins filing system has been discussed ad-infinitum.
