This is a negligible difference for the purposes of rotating existing 3x3 models for diagonal conversion. 

Hi, I had a litttle look at the FAR & 45dgr issue regarding pedmall coverage at these networks. 45drg show ususal placement of Bat´s and sollution using pedmall squarre to complete. Here I use the MGB filler and Sinburg Plaza set. You see some block are nice along the road, others are away as some squarre´s are reserved by the road, yet not textured. Maybe a sidewalk may do the trick but here there green.

45 DGR Corner NON Orthigal      This means at 45 without orthoginal roads, so fulll diagonal blocks !

Grey filler squarre´s, white sinburg plaza set. Some reserved square´s Note the above central neat around the block but overlaping Bat.

FAR Old and New !

FAR Old ploppable pieces !

Here we see the old plopable FAR pieces and there reserved untouched squares and capable sinburg plaza squarres with there effect ! These Bat are by Jon of his FAR corner pieces, there plopped with a row of three adjacent squarre´s, not very nice close to the road, this is the problem iwth FAR plopped pices as a network type. Next and last I have a sample of FAR Old onthe left and dragable FAR with there respective reserved squarres and the Sinburg plaza set plopped with the filler effect when down !

What a contrast ! Left you see those untouchable empty corners, left they are filled in. Now we see the complexity of the FAR network.FAR 2 and FAR 3 dragable in a city will be not so easy to populate with fully Bat´s allong it so there the challenge how make use W2W Bat´s for the FAR networks.

Filler bat´s and lot, yes there´s not only finding a usefull sollution for build up area´s, edges of parks too need a nicer FAR treatment. Sjablone one square plopped overlay may solve some problems, FAR park or plaza dedicated plop may help in this way, just like the 45 DGR bats from above for nicer park border FAR pieces. As mentioned this has to be translated into the diverse pedmall types, so that´s a furthur challenge. So developing FAR Bat´s, plaza and park lot´s still got some way to go !

These pieces have FAR edges but are by definition ordinaire lot´s , just give a little get away from the block like appearance but aren´t real FAR fillers as they only give a FAR edge to the road wich isn´t FAR. Ifit was a FAR road those tree sidewalk would be paralel to the raod !

Showcase FAR filler thread may be a sollution to discus and come with sollutions to fill this gap in the SimCity 4  FAR custom Bat´s and lot´s. Hope this may have show some light into the FAR filler issue, and hope it will see more attantion to resolve the problmes with this network !

Essentially turning the rock mod into grass, which will look a lot more realistic. I like this idea! At least a FA-focused content development thread. I'd love to centralize these ideas into one place. Thanks for your thorough post.

My plan in the long run. That city is only few days old and was meant to be just networks for now but I got an idea for the golf course and didn't want to forget. Here is one that is further along in progress. First picture is before any landscaping is done. Just the MGB fillers with no park value, thanks for those btw. 

The highway trees and shrubbery took 2.5 hours to hand plant. I even decided to add stones to the raised rail section. I normally like to do a little more to the city before playing but I needed the extra demand and jobs.

As far as the list of mods go, I have a few to try and others to install at some point. And one is an El rail embankment set by morifari. So I am ok for now, but thank you, and if I do, I know were you hang out
