IT'S AWESOME!

It simply looks perfect, with the precise amount of modern look to appear as cutting-edge technology but without losing realism or becoming alien to normal cities.

@Simmer2 It looks very similar to any secondary station I know, built along special high-speed-rail lines. Nothing but platforms, and side tracks to allow the direct trains to outstrip the other ones. You came to the essential *:thumb:

Lets take this up a notch.

HSR stations are awesome and due to the nature of the trains, stations must be designed to be very long.

I manage to adapt the concept to SC4 but at a hefty 20 tile long! @Eggman121 is tha man!!

@Simmer2 Really cool HSR station and muro secco walls! Are those train props in the pic going to be released as well? Looking forward to see them in the STEX! :thumb:

@kingofsimcity Wonderful parks!! You really made a great job with your custom textures and the right choice of flora. Keep up the good work!

Ninth Update (Bay Area Airport) I haven't been doing much of anything lately (except sleeping for 20 hours a day) so this is all I have for now. I will probably make changes to this in the future.

@kingofsimcity : the first 4x4 (left, first pic) is too cute !!!

@Simmer2 : ooooh ! PERFECT ! I wanted walls like that !!! They won't work only for pastures, you know ! (I assume they can be used with other gates, like, for cemeteries, churches and even (old) parks, right ?)

Any park like that with the baseball diamonds would have lots of lights.

I've never seen one with a soccer field like that.  A real baseball complex would be cool (like the ones seen all over the US)...the ones where 4 fields all merge together facing away from each other.

@jaredh: I totally forgot about the lights for this one. :P

These kind of community sports fields are actually pretty common where I'm from. The parks often have a vast open field with opposing baseball/softball diamonds (granted, most informal sports parks just have a pack of swirly dirt as the "diamond"). The open areas in the middle are then usually painted with lines for soccer/football etc., sometimes with plenty of room to spare for multiple ones. For example:

As for a real sports park, I think the closest one I have is a merged 3 field one (it's part of my regional park pack)

Have you consider building some fields based of the ones in NYC? There's several multipurpose stadiums for rec league and High School Sports that would look cool in game. What makes them stand out though is the use older style AstroTurf that gives off a distinct aqua color.

Are these pieces slope-friendly?

Nope. I tried and the results were really bad. I'm trying to keep the geometry of the wall and when I attempted to make a flex piece it wasn't game worthy.

Due to the square design of the highway walls I made, making a slope conforming was easy and it fit with the geometry.

However (it was going to be a surprise), there is one special piece I'm making for a smooth 7.5 meter transition......

The Grand Union Station is magnificent !!  Your attention to detailing is truly impressive.  *:thumb:

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !
