After seven months down the rabbit hole of lotting-relotting, the reason why I fell in the first place has finally been fullfilled : my Go-To sports fields are finally lit ! I first tried the White Big Spotlight from the Invisible Flying Saucer in the Sky but it seemed to weird for simple, smalltown sportfields So I went back to my usual, cosier lights, and I'm happy with them.

@AsimPika3172 : seems to me there are a LOT of sport stadiums (stadii ? stadia ?) Big, beautiful ones -- and most are lit, sometimes impressively. Some I like are not, but, alas, they are made in such a fashion that I haven't found how to light them...

@tariely that sport facility pack would be a nice addition to the STEX, so I second all people above this post 

Just a little thing I noticed though: In the lot with both a football (the actual one, with a ROUND ball and played only with your FEET) pitch and a baseball field, there's the same flashy orange Nissan parked three times 

@matias93 If you ignore the lines in the ground, that could also be used as a rugby field, since those are rugby posts

I think the Orange  Nissan is because she used a Prop Family, its possible it showed up as the same car three times accidently.

@DavidDHetzel Yeah, maybe it's because of that, as I'm not very familiar with prop families. When I work with LE or SC4PIM I just use standalone props

Curiously, it looks much more suburban that way, IMHO. If I were to use it (and I'm already thinking where it could be on my region), I would replace the viaduct with an earthen rampart in all its length but the station itself and some road crossings. I think I've seen those kinds of works in the Netherlands and Denmark (in photos, mind you).

Query : should I upload them all together (in separate folders, but in the same zip) ? They have mostly all the same deps.

PS : and yes, there was a sale on orange Nissans ; the other is orange but not a Nissan, I think. I will check. (Did I use Prop Families. ? I don't even remember !  SHK-Clusters are Prop Families, yes ?)

This time, I give you my take on the Duke Chapel and Cemetery.

I couldn't pass up using the recently released @tariely re-lot of the Duke Chapel.  Her work on this is especially good and the lighting and landscaping are (is) superb.  I have foolishly added the odd MMP to the chapel lot, but not very much for fear of ruining a real gem.

The views show a bringing together of many modular and filler lots from various authors and groups to create the overall picture and tie it together.  You can see BSC Park Paths (modified), modular parking lots (by ??), Paeng's Forest Tweak tree lots, my own tree fillers, and a variety of MMP landscape -- mostly Girafe.  (His is the absolute BEST.)

I have combined a beautiful church with the game's need for cemetery space.  It did not seem to make sense to build several cemeteries scattered about the city, and I had already tried a single, large cemetery with parks and small chapels in another city -- so I opted for a functioning churchyard/cemetery beside the chapel.  On the west side, toward the symbolic setting sun, I used Paeng's Modular Cemetery set to create a graveyard of suitable size and distinction for Duke Chapel.  A beautiful resting place with lots of peaceful trees, singing birds, and pretty flowers.  With a current city population of 93k, the place filled up right quick !

Another project I'm working on

This is a company called "Port-A-Lube". I don't know much about them, but from what I understand you would call them and they would send out a roaving mechanic, to you house or residence and give your car a quick tune-up.


 

this is the CS version. It's 2x2 and contains a small office and holding pen for the companies trucks



This is a 3x2 "Office" variation which includes an office thats really just owners home (Common for company owners in the construction and service industries to combine their living residence and their offices)

You can start with Google.  Choose a city -- Albany, NY.  Just type in "Albany -- NY -- images" -- and see what comes up.

So I'm rebuilding a tile that was affected by prop pox. The fix came out after I had started the rebuilding; as I made some modifications to the road network I decided just to continue rebuilding it. This is a shot of an old neighborhood in Laurentia featuring greek revival and Edwardian architecture. This used to be a part of Port Isabelle before amalgamation in the early 1950s:

Well, lot's of fun going on latelly, which brought me a dilemma. I thought I lost one of my most developed cities due to an unfortunate Prop Pox issue, but thanks to @simmaster07 it's not issue anymore, so will start experimenting combining the almost finished tiles with the recentry restarted ones. In the meantime I uploaded some stuff. I decided to open up a new development thread over at the freshly established Invasion Community (SC4Defined), and keep posting there as well and will upload some files too.

But in the last two days brought some files here as well. As continueing my Preservation Project on behalf longtime-non-active-developpers and bringing back their lost contents (Don Miguel's CSX Pier Mall, Jason5871 Cruise Ship Port Set, and Paeng's recent uploads), I uploaded

And I finally uploaded the long promised fix for the CAL Canal straight +1-Glenni Mega Props vol1 prop family conflict. Accidently back in 2006/2007 both set got the same prop family ID, so depending on the load order either nice norvegian houses popped up or the canal pieces, when you plopped the Straigh +1 canal piece. I made a new family (which is identical CAL's one) for the canal pieces, since easier to fix on this side the problem then messing with the Mega Props or the original house set. You will still need the SG_CAL_Canal_Straight_PropFamily.dat since this contains the original models, but I made a new lot which uses the newly made prop family and it won't be conflicting with anything any more.

1. NoirCity - North Harbour  - the original one, with the last developments before it got poxed, or something, because I could keep developing if I wouldn't bulldoze certain damaged lots.

2. NoirCity - ConterPoint - the original... Well I might keep this as a fully functional city tile, since I wanted to abandon this city due to some disabled props which used to can cause Prop Pox, but I guess now it's stays in the past, so... I'll figure it out how I can put together with the new version of North Harbour...
