I LOVE IT

That boldly contemporary design is simply fantastic!

And the model looks narrow enough for a 1x6 lot implementation, which is even better.

You really outdid yourself with this collection, Matt!!

With the last station, it will stay as a 7.5m version. To make it 15m would see the platform just above the 3rd floor which, together with the glass roof and the front massing all at 4-4.5 floors would totally ruin the rhythm of the design...even though said design is completely fictional *;). The new 7.5m viaduct is to me the perfect compromise for the game and really allows this sort hybrid building to work.

Speaking of fictional, here is a very modern design for the 7.5m E-RRW (click a few times to enlarge)

Works for me.  I'll adjust to use these, they're too good!

I will say this glass one would make an awesome el-rail over road station ;)

@art128 : nah, I just plopped some JENX Poseidon effects -- in the adjacent tile, not the tile in the picture

@Matias 93 : So you think it has nothing to do with JENX effects ? The coincidence seems a bit much to me. I plopped his green coloured waterfall, which cannot be bulldozed properly, leaving its moving green light behind, and suddenly I have radioactive snow in the adjacent tile ? HUM... :-)

This is just the beginning

If its going to be a game functional city, it would be interesting to see statistics of RCI.  Those are a lot of stage 7 and 8 office towers.

This is a wide angle shot of the 16th Avenue streetcar line in Vancouver.

Its hard to relate it directly to Vancouver, although it does have the 'feel' of Vancouver,  but more important I think is that you've achieved a natural look generally  to many of  the cities we are familiar with in the West.    I can  imagine taking the Google street maps and rendering them in SC4.   There's a great business deal for Simtropolians.  *:thumb:

And, as a change of pace, an 'ye olde worlde' type terminus for the L1 networks

I am predictably in love with that one station in particular, and that's far from saying I don't fancy the other ones you have shown! I love the industrial, utilitarian look of the platform section paired with the small but somewhat grandiose terminal building - a somewhat odd couple, but far from unrealistic, I guess.

@tariely: Yes, those plazas... I dunno, I guess they could use some thinning of props and overlays, or the result might look too cluttered. The footpaths with the benches alongside really only make sense when the rest of the lot is not intended to be walked on - which is kind of a moot point in the case of paved plazas. It's amazing how flexibly all the pieces can be linked, but it might just be too much. Unless, of course, you found a base/overlay combination that's far less contrasted, where the footpaths would provide some subtle structure that's less in your face.

The benches might also be too many right now - imagine running across that plaza, only to find out that it's littered with clusters of benches in any numbers, patterns and orientations. I think it takes the feeling of open space away from those plazas, tbh. Very good and precise lotting technically, but somehow the effect gets drowned under too mch visual clutter for my taste.

You are absolutely right ! :-) However I don't intend those as plazas but as paths linking (or completing) the plazas I(or Tyberius) already made with those overlays. They won't be used all at once ! I will  keep all of them for my personal use (not that I know they all link correctly :-), but if I am ever to upload them, I will select a few basic ones (like straight/straight offset, one or two set(s) of corners and curves, diagonals inside/outside, and both ends.)

NAM team please include these beautiful stations in your next version.

Also can the modern designed one pull off the overhanging style like the stations in the current NAM? The two ends of the station can probably fit a road under it.

Will love if these be released; beside I encouraged to make four track stations and terminuses I would find it awesome if there anyone created  finaly a elevated to groundrail transition created by use of a on slope rail connector transition as used with the railway arches pieces instead of a artificial ramp like sollution as below suggested

or a special arched piece to convert to elevated rail !

Sincerely yours,

Meanwhile, I'm still working at my unifying paths for plazas & parks with EBLT texture and overlays. Puzzle Time ! (Don't mind the greenery, I am still experimenting to see what I will keep. I think I will leave many of the piece bare, except for the lights and benches. But first I had to be sure I could link every pieces. Thank God for rivit, who can whip up a missing overlay at the drop of a hat ! * )

Tyberius06 is making a request preserving NOB and Caribou files in Can´t find it ! Suggested is to do this on a one drive or on STEX;  legaly one drive the better sollution with lnks to your plugin file one drive location. The share your´re plugin folder discusion you may conscider for preservation as well create a one drive location with your complete present pluginfolder so the files of these creators be prseserved for the community. Wed tried to solve some issues iwth NOB´s lot´s but only a full complete prsesent day pluginfolder will certainly offer a lot more insight into left files you weren´t able to retrieve !

@Dreadnought Very nice campus!! I think Harishna's UNAM buildings are very fitting, in case you want to extend it.

Also, where did you get the GTG Cologne building?

Yeah the generic suburban/residential areas aren't really custom to anything.  Most everything you see here is organically grown, with only a few changes here or there.  Plus Vancouver doesn't really use any streetcars, but they move traffic fairly efficiently for SimCity.  Fixing up the Broadway Corridor is next on my list.

@kelistmac Wow! Looking forward for Saitama region reboot  :ohyes: It looks impressively neat and tidy for an almost completely natural growth city. Me quito el sombrero.

@mattb325 Very nice to see you're making stations of different styles. So much want that pack :D

Yo, SC4LOver --

Have you actually used this file ??

I downloaded the thing twice -- and it won't unzip.  Says this is part of a "spanned zip file" and requires the other files.

If you have a link to a working file, it would be appreciated.

(P.S. -- The library file unzipped with no problems at all.)

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !
