Mushy that looks awesome! Is it possible to put those adds in the game?

The short answer is no - long answer is yes... in all honesty I've been considering making some Asian-themed buildings at some point, and it would be very easy to make different versions of them with different signage attached. The short answer is no because the majority of the sings shown are basically from Google images pictures of primarily Korean and Chinese streets, but there are a few other countries in the mix. I also pulled billboards and signs off of various Japanese and Chinese BATs.

The reason it's not easy is because the stuff in my image is all Photoshopped in (so I haven't done any BAT work, if I started now I'd be starting from scratch). This image here is a .png version (for uploading) of the .psd I have that contains a group of billboards/stuff I am using (the various stuff from Google images has just been copied directly off of those images and was never pasted onto this file):

fSflkDW.png

Keep in mind that they have not been scaled yet and some of them have already been edited. I usually would copy one of these into the main image, then copy a storefront sign from a RL image then skew it and scale it till it fit on the billboard. An example shown here is the RAV4 advert and the two signs immediately to the left of that. The Steins;Gate ad is long story (read: it took a while to make), so I won't get into that. The cables that are all over the place are largely inspired by some of the Chinese images. Those are mostly made with a simple click-shift-click of the pencil tool on the smallest setting (thing blurred a bit so it blends better).

Here's and example of the images I used for the signs (I actually got the most out of this particular image due to the favorable angle of the camera shot):

he6fSeM.jpg

So that's how I did it if anybody was interested. What I was saying earlier about BATing the stuff though... it really wouldn't be too hard. The hard part would be making the buildings, but the signs themselves would be a cinch and after the buildings were done it would be easy to make lots of combinations. So maybe that'll happen someday.

So many Signs on one Building. It looks like a heavy Storm ripped off all Shopsigns from one Part of the City and they all ended up on one single House.Do the People in this House at least get some Money for getting their Views blocked?

Those are mostly office buildings, notice the tower highrises in the background.

In China it's different but they don't really have the choice, do they.

I'm loving the scale of that NY recreation. My only comment would be just to keep your ideas open and approach any problem you have with an open mind.

I started laying out the skeleton of my new city. Doing a bit of flattening for the business area and need to lay down 4 or 5 railway stations. (Yes, I know the UI is up.)

It's not as far as I'd like it to be, but here's my current project: Lee Sang-Hyeok International Airport (Unofficial IATA: RLSH) dedicated to legendary esports gamer, Lee "Faker" Sang Hyeok. (If you get this reference. I love you, give me a virtual high-five)DskkgR.jpg

Overview of the airport, I don't usually build anything else around the airport unless it's for a city I'm working on

This is the reason why this is in "Show us what you're working on" and not "Show us your airport". The hangars are meant to service larger narrowbody jets such as the 737 and the A321, but I'm having troubles finding hangars that will only fit an Avro RJ85 or a hangar that is meant to service A380's. *cough* Link me pls *cough*

Are you talking about the UI changes or the puzzle pieces?

What's a puzzle piece?

(Seriously, though; I'm referring to three different things, and, by definition, none of them are puzzle pieces.)

@KiethMarkus2014 Thanks! I'm pretty sure I used the SMP Paradise Blue Water Mod 1 for the water, the Columbus Textures for jeronijs mod and then combined with the Pacific Northwest Tree Controller

@ROFLyoshi Haha cheers! Yeah I've been experimenting with fractional degree roads (Is that the name? I forgot haha) to go along the coast and rivers, hopefully it'll turn out alright, although most of the river will be surrounded by parkland so hopefully it'll turn out alright! :P

i managed to get my game working today, and today was the first official play since about a year or so ago, started a new city when i got on and this is wat i have done so far, im liking how it looks so far to!
ZJ4E8Rc.png

7kKFNnd.png

i got the first interchange and on-ramps complete plus an extra overpass.

jyfAQXW.png

wRfTciL.png
extended the highway and curved it to cross the river at a more narrow spot, however im not to sure what to do to the right side of that off-ramp right after the river crossing...i was going to have that road bridge beside the highway to connect to that, but the river has the bulge in the side so i had to move it farther down...anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for sharing, looks good

I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.

cmdp:Sweet, another NYC in the Works. It seems you`re using another City Tile Layout than me.Unfortunately Central Park was cut of 3 Tiles on the West Side which seemed like no big Deal to me until i noticed that now important Buildings like Madison Square Garden and New York Times can`t be placed...I left it that Way because i already worked too much on it.

The Area around Central Park looks already very good to me,every Building is at it`s Place.

Are there already some Closeups for the Residential Zones?

Keep up the good Work.It might take long to finish NYC but it will be worth it.

citycowboy: That`s an amazingly detailed City Grid.Is it based on a real City or just out of your Imagination?

Ganaram:Oh yes,i always felt like SC 4 could use a modern UI.Always wanted something like SC2013 UI but your`s looking way better.Do i also see new Zoning Tile Textures? Sweet!

Okay,i`m still working on my current Region and i`m currently concentrating on the Area around Central Park NYC.Billionaires Row on South Central Park is almost done and as the first time ever,i tried MMP Water.I choosed JRJ`s transparent Plop Water because i like the Idea of decorating under Water and many non transparent Plop Waters just look like splotches of Paint dropped over the Map.
I started small and tried to copy the general shape of Central Parks "The Pond".Well i guess i missed the Goal here but i think it is still a prety nice Pond....

NYBT Member Parisian uploaded a new NYC Skycraper a few Days ago and of course i had to place it on the right Spot. It`s the future 220 South Central Park Tower which faces mostly the 58th Street.Only the smaller 17 Story Addition will face Central Park.

@Hotwheeler: I'm loving the NYC you have there. The only suggestion I have to you is to possibly use a wider range of road networks. Like the 6 lane avenue, 5 lane OWR. It makes for a more realistic NYC, and I notice you roads have a slight slope going on.

Carlisle%20-%20Main-Mar.%2019%2028143986

Nothing much going on. I'm just laying down some infrastructure and grid for my city, Carlisle which will be completely lotted in lot editor. This is always the first step in kind of branching out. My inspiration is London. Not many London bats other than commercial, but I can make it work. I even have St.Helens and the Gherkin next to each other. I'll create a CJ of some sort eventually. (The road tiles represent a future pedestrian path or alleyway.) :P

Hotwheeler: That park looks very nice and realistic, and i do now how hard it is to pull off those cement paths like that.
